Part 1 of my New Mexico BDR trip in June 2021. This covers the first part of the trip leaving Lubbock, TX and getting to the start of the BDR in Antonito, CO.
Glad to see you are back! You do some of the best adv videos on RU-vid I’m in Midland and thinking of trying the Nmbdr next year on my new CRF 450rl Ride safe and keep up the inspirational videos!
This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched, and man they are great! Leaving tomorrow to finish sections 6-10 that we were unable to do 2 years ago due to the wildfires. The Monsoons are threatening so we will see how it goes. I’ll be definitely be using your CD ride videos to plan for that one next year. Keep them coming I’m hooked!
Thanks. Weather was pretty good for me. I think it rained a couple days, but nothing too serious. That being said, I think I was pretty fortunate. I think late June is getting to the beginning of NM monsoon season, so it could be much worse if the rains start a little early. I think Sept should be drier...maybe? But it will still be pretty warm too. But honestly it's probably a toss up. BDR website just says avoid July and August...before and after should be good!
