We've had our 2017 armada for 2½ years now, got it for the wife and she loves it. We use it for everything and it never complains, it just keeps going and asking for more.

MOD on the backup camera means moving object detection. If the MOD box is green it means it will beep at you and flash the screen if something in that view moves.

I drove this beast(2019 version) recently. The V8 makes merging, passing and almost everything so easy. Just a little tap and the car behind is a dot in the rear view mirror. But mpg can suck sometimes. An edit: I did not feel the car I drove bounced a lot at speeds.

The Infiniti version has a 20 bose stereo vs 13 in the Nissan. The Infiniti also has a computerized hydraulic suspension compared to traditional in the Nissan.

Hey Chris, thanks for another great review. I love your style and format. As someone who doesn't have to deal with snow, I prefer RWD vehicles to their corresponding AWD versions, for their lighter weight, better steering feel, RWD handling, less complexity, better mpg, and lower price.

I don’t think you could find a comparable fwd/rwd platform (because I don’t think any car manufacturer does this) that would have the same engine hp/tq numbers and get better fuel economy with the rwd platform. Still a lot of weight to carry with the drivetrain as compared to a more compact fwd package.

Hi Brendan, Thanks for your thoughts. I was referring to RWD versus AWD on G90. RWD is about 160lbs lighter, taken off the front of the car. Likewise, the V6 is about 160lbs lighter than the V8, so the V6 RWD configuration is over 300lbs lighter in the front than that V8 AWD model. I wasn't able to drive both configurations, so I can't say for a fact, but I'm hoping that the lighter front end will pay of in steering and handling. All in all, I think the G90 is a fantastic car, overlooked because luxury sedans are unfashionable. But, all other things being equal, physics makes a sedan handle and ride better than a SUV. I recently rented a Ford Focus while my Outback 3.6R is in the shop, and that lowly economy sedan rode and handled better. In comparison with an SUV, a sedan feels like a luxury sports car. All the best.

I test drove a 2017 Infinity QX50 and I could not believe that it basically was a 2007 G37! I mean beautiful car but holy crap Nissan really stretches their designs lol. I recently rented a 2021 Maxima and it was fantastic though. I thought the interior quality was very nice and it was hella fun to drive

That's a perfect car for road trips. You can easily drive from new York to florida with this. But the exterior design looks kinda ugly. Specially the rear and the front. The older armadas look way better and I do agree with you about the black dashboard. It can blind you if its sunny. And the engine could use more horsepower. 460 HP or more would've been better. A big vehicle like this needs power.

For 56k I just feel like I could find a more exciting equivalent vehicle. I must admit I've never really been a fan of the Armada / QX80; I've always felt like the vehicles understood the concept of "large SUV" but never really nailed it. It may be a bit too boring for my taste but I could be misunderstanding the new design language. Perhaps if you're looking for a vehicle that was incredibly simple, no gimmicks and just does what SUVs have done for 25 years without being too dramatic this is a great vehicle choice.

The Middle eastern/australian spec aka the patrol, has a way nicer interior. Extremely luxurious, id say it can be compared with a mercedes/bmw. Even the exterior really suits it and gives it this weight a luxury car would usually have.

@@insayn7995 you get some amazing wood inserts all over the car and very luxurious diamond stitched leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel with wood inserts, leather wrapped gear lever, Heated and ventilated seats, 2 infotainment screens, 360 degree reverse camera, a bunch of those adaptive cruise and lane keeping kind of stuff, and a hell of a lot of other stuff as well. You literally feel like you're driving a luxury car. Its very similar to how the infiniti version of that car would be. I forgot to mention we also get a nissan patrol nismo that adds way more stuff as well.
