for anyone curious, I drive a 5 speed manual 2020 (new body style) 75 miles per day round trip. I also have a dodge 2500 diesel, Versa is awesome. Been saving a ton of fuel and 5 speed is always fun.
I have a 2018 Versa S with the manual transmission. Over 50,000 miles I've averaged 41 mpg actual. Never got less than 40 mpg, mostly highway. The readout is always 2 mpg optimistic and often reads 45 mpg or even 46 mpg.
Thank You. It is great to listen to an assessment from a young driver who has not been influenced by the 'seasoned' evaluators. I'm 81 and have owned and leased a mess of cars. My current car is a 2019 Maxima which I own. My wife bought a 2020 Versa SV and that seems to be the 'house' car. It is well outfitted and a pleasure to drive. We leased a Versa Note and that gave us confidence to buy another Versa. Over all your observations are on the money. Our 2020 Versa is a great Nissan advancement. I can compare the Nissan 'flagship' (of which I have had 9) to the humble Versa. I can see the power and ride advantages but around town the Versa is my choice. The Max is a road vehicle to chew up miles in comfort for seniors.
Nice reliable affordable vehicle with a 5 speed and hand brake last of the mohicans. In a world of overpriced over engineered electrical nightmare vehicles. Don't need the emergency braking crap. Men be men learn to drive properly pay attention to the road don't depend on the the technology of the vehicle and put your phone down no texting while driving.
Ah yes the precipice of car reviews where, brace yourselves, they actually drive the car. Mind blowing. I love these non bias car reviews of dealerships selling the cars they advertise. lol. Anyway, the car is legit but these “reviews” are cringe.
😂Yes the gearing is pretty low. I suspect they use the same transmission and gear ratios with the smaller engines that wouldn't work well with taller gearing.
So stupid they took two steps back with the s model and took away the push button start for the 23-24, and doesn’t even have keyless entry. Great car but what a joke. I’d opt out of all the modern safety features just to have keyless entry.
