I've just got the 2023 opel corsa 1.2t lite last week. I wanted the 1.2t edition but they are scarce man. So far extremely happy with it. The drive is so smooth, the gearbox is great. Coming from a 2016 1.4t sport i am truly impressed.
After owning the car for 4 months, I must say I am impressed more and more. It's all what you said and more. The power, comfort, safety features, the looks, it's a full package. I come from big cars and though I will miss them, this Corsa closed that gap, it feels and drives premium. Great thing also is low insurance premium compared to other cars in this range. Great video baba. Keep up the good work.
Excellent Video Niyaaz believe it or not I owned a 2008 Corsa 1.4 essentia for two years 😀 then sold it in 2010 April for a 2010 VW Polo 6R released in April 2010 . I cried like a small boy when I handed the key of the Corsa over to the VW Dealer 🤣 .Had alot of fun with the car (You know how old we were in 2008) Problems was it chowed brakes,It wasn't economical for a 1.4L engine,My windscreen kept cracking by itself and the Aircon Fan was temperamental 😨 It managed to klap the 1.6 VW Golf 6 robot to robot lol so we had our fun moments together. You know what I currently daily🚒 so you should know I have a special little spot for OPEL 🥰❤
This is definitely a car for a very small market, most people aren't open to anything besides a Fiesta and a Polo in this segment. And if you take a look at resale value and parts availability once the motorplan runs out, you can see why they're preferred over this. But I sincerely hope more people will open up to owning an Opel, so they can get back to where they belong.
I have owned 1. Opel Kadett GSi Superboss 2. Opel Astra Kadett 200iS 3. Opel Kadett 200TS 4. Opel Corsa 1.6 GSi ltd . Opel Astra 2.0 CSX . Opel Astra Coupe 2.0 Turbo. Opel Astra GSi 2.0 Turbo. My favourite of the x3 2L Turbo's was the Astra Coupe. This car run the 1/4 mile 14.5s and the 1 kilometer at 209 km/h here at the reef with just software and downpipe. And this was in 2002 at a timed event.
@@raiNofchAosFPS - The corsa has 28kw and 100nm more though, so I would hardly compare them as rivals. The base corsa is 275k, so actually 13 000 less.
Most people doesn't really understand power to weight ratio. My Golf 1 Gti that I bought in 1985 made 84,kW and 167nm and weigh 858,kg was the fastest car between all of friends from 0- 160km,/h. These include cars some that I also later purchusd. Toyota Conquest RSi ,Opel Kadet GSi 1.8 , Opel Kadett 2.0 , VW Golf 2 ,1.8 16v , VW Golf 2 ,2.0 16v. All of them made more power on the dyno than my Golf 1 (we all used the same dyno at Pieter de Weerdt,'s shop)
I remember driving the new Polo back in 2019, it was an excellent handling car. I can only imagine what this is like to drive, especially when you consider the fact that it weighs less than a ton.
We have a 1.4 turbo Opel Astra Essentia sedan 2014 model 6 speed manual. Very good handling and that boost is nice. Otherwise the interior and other techno stuff not to good
It won’t 😂. Infact would be chowed This on paper 0-100 in 8.7sec and top speed 208km/h (96kW and 230nm) Polo 1.0TSI Highline DSG 0-100 in 9.5sec and top speed 200km/h (85kW and 200nm)
If it means i pay over 100k less with all tech removed, id do it. I just want the power. Touch screen, digital display... Those are all pretty distractions from realizing you in control of a near ton missile.
Look at the competition - a 1.0 DSG Polo Highline is 372K, The Fiesta EcoBoost Titanium Auto is 383K, the Suzuki Swift sport A/T is 370K... New cars are just not cheap anymore... This is the SA car market now.
@Shaun Barnard I have to agree with you, when the engine top was opened I thought, jislike that looks kak untidy as if everything was just bliksemd in and closed again.
