The Jewish calendar is different from the Gregorian calendar that you know. What is different? Basically everything! The days, the months, the years and even the way we write it. We use letters instead of numbers.
When are the next Jewish holidays? www.travelingisrael.com/jewis...

Thank you for another excellent video; I always learn something new. I am not Jewish, but I have been to Israel, and couldn't have enjoyed myself more. My visit was for business, but in a way, that was a blessing - I was able to focus less on the tourist sites and more on the people. My only regret was at Ben-Gurion airport: I thought I would have been questioned more about the purpose of my trip, but was only asked 2 or 3 questions. I asked a Jewish friend of mine about this, and he said, "you do not look like a threat". I will return to Israel as soon as the Corona virus situation is over. Shalom

Thanks for this. I am a Christian and the building where my fellowship meets used to be a synagogue. There is still a commemorative plaque remembering a lady who let the Hebrew congregation meet in her house until the synagogue was built. The date of her death is given as 1947 but aslo in the Jewish calendar. I never knew until now whether that calendar was based on the Creation or from the Exodus from Egypt where Moses was told by God to mark that date as the beginning of their year. So, thanks for clearing that up. Shalom

I understand, that Jews are keeping the Sabbath on the 7' day, as we all should do. This law is not made for the Jewish people ONLY, this law was Gods will on the 7. Day of creation, ment for all mankind. This law was given to us long before Moses got the 10 commandments! May God keep and bless Israel and may God be with Her always. Shalom from Denmark

Something else cool: In old times, before electricity, and when candles were expansive, the anciant Jews that created the calander, wanted to celebrate holidays all night long. They wanted to eat and be with their family, so they decided, whenever possible, to celebrate holidays in the full moon. When the moon is full and there are no other lights, it's like a beacon. You can see almost as well as in the day. This is why a lot of Jewish holidays fall in the middle of the Jewish months: 14 Tishrei: Erev Sukkot ערב סוכות 15 Shevat: Tu BiShvat ט"ו בשבת 14 Adar: Purim פורים 15 Nisan: Passover פסח 15 Av: Tu B’Av ט"ו באב

@abelincoln8885

But are you celebrating the holidays for God who promised Abram that he would be the Father of nations .... or .... for culture and/or a religion? Yes, religious Jews are correct that the Universe is approximately 5781 years old, and that may be living in end times, when the Temple is rebuilt before the coming of the Jewish Messiah. But they are completely wrong about Jesus Christ. God has clearly cursed Rabbinic Judaism & the Jews for almost 2000 years ... but ... has blessed Christianity which teaches Jesus Christ is the Son of God & the Messiah, sent to be a sin sacrifice to save the souls of ALL who believe. Judaism says Jesus is not the Messiah & not the Son of God ... and is cursed for 2000 years with 18 million Jews worldwide with most who don't believe in God. Christianity, began with religious Jews who accepted Jesus Christ as the Messiah & Son of God .... and has been bless by God for 2000 years ... with over 2 billion religion believers in Christ. Even Islam has been blessed by God with nearly 2 billion Muslims who accept Jesus Christ is a great Man of God, and prophet who performed miracles. The Christian Bible prophesied that Jesus Christ will return to rule the Earth for 1000 years ... after Man has ruled for .... 6000 years. Again. The Jews are correct .... that the Universe is about 5781 years old. The Jewish Messiah will appear within the next 220 years. For sure. Listen to what God has to say about Jesus Christ ... not what your Rabbis are telling you about him. God has blessed the religion that says Jesus is the Son of God ... and ... cursed the religion that says God is not a Trinity, Jesus is a gentile God of the idolatrous Roman Catholic religion. lol.

You’ve mentioned to not get on your case about the year-well, I’m not going to rattle in your comments too to much, but to a degree, the first two verses in scriptures explain what those in science says is hundreds of millions to billions of years ago. I enjoy your videos. One small correction: You spelled the 3rd month "Kishlev" (with the letter "h" in it) in your text overlay. כסלו is more correctly presented in English as "Kislev" (without the letter "h"), so the Hebrew letter samech is presented as an "s" sound rather than "sh" sound.

I’ve never understood why electronics can’t be used. In the Bible, it says to rest, yes, but from physical work. I think was is meant by that is that you shall not do any work that causes your mind and body to stress and express strain. But to not be allowed to turn on the radio? That isn’t promoting work. You’re not working. The radio is and it’s not a person.

Hey man! I love your videos. From India, I feel connected to my home (Yerushalayim). I have a question though: According to the Bible and the sages, 1 day is like 1000 years and vice versa to G-d. So, we believe that in the Jewish year 7000, also considered as the sabbatical millennia, the Moshiach will come/return. So does that mean there is about 1218 years left for the complete restoration of His people from all over the nations?
