The virtual design service is brilliant! What a great idea and one that I am sure will become an integral part of your growing success as an organization. That is a real innovation.
Thanks for another informative video Chuck. You do a great job of explaining everything so that customers who may not have experience with class 8 vehicles can learn, but also for those of us who have been in the transportation industry for our work, can see the newest technology available to us. My wife and I are just starting to plan our next phase of life, and plan on working with your group when we get ready to spec and purchase our rig.
Us too! Currently working with Ben. The new 2021 is AMAZING! Now I see in this video what Ben was talking to me about over the phone. IWS video are ALWAYS top notch!!
I do appreciate the simplicity of how your VERY clear about the specifics. I've been looking at RVs for *years* so I'm pretty familiar with the "lingo", but even with that. It's nice to see some few people (like you, who've been in the industry for a ling time) that can still speak VERY simply. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates this.
What a great presentation. You totally sold me on the Class C and IWS. Dream that you're driving a truck with air braking and you get the same luxury, as a class A, did it for me.
Wow, what a great looking coach. Love the style of the Cascadia P4! The virtual design service is a great service to have. Great job Chuck! Very informative as always....
I always learn something from your videos! Thanks for the info. I found the single vs. tandem axle reasoning especially important. But all the info you shared was great. Thanks to the owners for letting you video inside. It is beautiful!
Renegade truly makes some of the coolest Super C motorhomes on the market. Being paired with a great company who has this level of customer service makes these coaches a winner. I hope to be able to own one of these coaches in the future.
I’m a future customer of IWS Sales. I’m in the SF Bay Area (California) but I’ll be taking the quick nonstop on SWA out of OAK to Boise if that’s where you’re located (and if not, then I’ll figure something else out). 😁 I will be selling my house next year and moving into a new Super-C full time. Yup!!! I’m serious. Looking forward to meeting you up there and designing my new home! I’ve waited years to do this, now I have to be like a kid waiting for Christmas as if today is January 1st and it’s a whole year away. That’s okay, I can handle it. Hah hah! How much lead time do you recommend for me coming up for the very first time all through financing (although I might pay cash unless you guys really want the financing done through you like car dealerships do, doesn’t matter to me), designing, building, and delivery? Should I do it one year before I want the vehicle delivered? Or less time than that? Thanks in advance.
The front of that Freightliner Csacadia P4 motorhome looks oustanding with big LED headlights along with marking lamps in every corner. Not to mention, its roomy inside with theater style seats. Nice overview ,Chuck
Hi Chuck do you think it would be possible to see the construction of one of these beauty inside the shop .I think everybody would like....Thank you and love the product so beautiful...Please stay safe and hope to enjoy the tour of the shop...
Michel, If your able to see the cable Extreme RV - or Big time RV, They show a once only Behind the seens Building a 45" Haulmark RV, the show is a few years old but still the Quality & The actual Steel going into the roof & the subfloor of the Truck, Its very cool. Go on RU-vid it may be there also ?
Because of my wife's extreme allergy to mold, we always look for an Azdel or composite exterior wall. NO LUAN. Anyone know if this material is used by Renegade? My NEXUS has it, but I am looking to upgrade to a Super C.
@@Grandsport12 Yes, Renegade uses Azdel in the sidewalls on all models except the Classic which has a different sidewall technique however still does not use Luan.
Great to see you again Chuck. Good to see Freightliner upgrading their chassis and Renegade producing new coaches. Would love to see a video on upgrades that Freightliner, Renegade and IWS have done for 2021. Any comment on single vs. tandem axel fuel milage, ride or handling?
Wow. Liked it when you pulled up. Enjoying the walk thru. Like the thought of whole different level of service. Thank you to customer for sharing. Finally, a real toilet.
Where Are you going ? Your voice & Face of IWS Sales. It would be crazy for you to Leave !! Even if you only Semi- retire Ha Get it Semi !! Your voice sells or makes us want to travel From NYC to Idaho , Go past Dylan RV ,Past the Vech Manufactures on Route 80/90 in Indiana, So aside from Long weekends with the family. Stay in your saddle come Tuesday - Thursday, For your customers both Local & through RU-vid. Be safe 🎃💙😷🇺🇸
Thanks Chuck, excellent overview and discussion of the vehicle. It’s good to hear someone with ‘truck smarts’ tell you what is important. One question I have is how long does it take to get one after order? I especially like the interior of this one with simple lines and plain walls. Too many have too much ‘dazzle.’ Again, thank you for your plain talk.
I see ALOT of Mercedes Actors switches and buttons in that RV, I wouldn't be too confident in that as Mercedes truck quality is not what it once was. I still say a Volvo with the 16L engine would be THE BOSS RV if it was available. Great review as usual.
Ever think about installing like a slider adjustment so you slide the dinette table closer to one side of the booth so you can make it "fit" better for using as a desk or if you prefer eating closer to the table?
Are all the items inside the cab standard or is this a fully loaded chassis? Also, the accident mitigation is huge! Going to recommend it on our next trucks we order. Keep your videos coming, hope to have you build one for us soon.
Has a diesel mechanic the dd13 is good but the cascadia 116 sucks has in the back half of the engine is TIGHT to access vs the much roomier 126 cascadia 10 inchs makes a big difference, example the high pressure fuel pump drive side rear of engine. book time 13 hrs add 10hr if it's in a 116 body a lot more components have to come off the gain access to the fuel pump.
Hey Chuck, you have done it again! Just when I was head over heels (in love) with the 2020 Renegade, now this model has stolen my heart & kid's inheritance! Lol *Just kidding* Be on the lookout for me, I'll be in Idaho before too long!
I prefer these to class A pushers mainly for two reasons; 1. They are built on real truck chassis and drivelines that are made to travel a million miles. 2. They are much more convenient to use. Remember, the biggest yachts in the harbor are the least used. I want to say to my wife, let’s go to “where ever” for the weekend and not make a big deal about planning, home care, or what ever.
Great review and presentation you did a super job I really enjoyed that coach has a motorhome that was very functional and practical compared to something I've looked at the very high-end to low-end I like looking this one really stands out thank you again preciate it
It would be nice to see a construction video of one of these, like the house being built. My hope for my first RV is a B+ 25 foot long to get started. I love the idea, and full time ability of the super Cs, but I am a little afraid of the length. I suppose you just get used to it?
Excellent video. The new freightliner look is a major improvement, how ever nothing looks as good as those lonestar front ends! They have me drooling. Are you able to build on those chassis as well or only freightliner?
The tandem is a drive axle the tag is not a drive axle, it does help support overall weight. The tag only steers at low parking lot speed usually. If the tag has a dump you can use that to turn in tighter circle also. The bus coach will have a tag also. If you knew this already sorry, most do not understand if the rear axle has an outy belly button it is a tag non drive axle.
Thank you once again for showing us this new coach I like being able to sit down and do in house custom design would you be able to do this with a trailer as well ? A big question I have for you when designing a coach combined length with a trailer or just your tow vehicle in NJ is 65 overall so can you and Renegade design a ikon that is 46 or 47 feet making the "Box" two feet longer in length again and , thank you for your time Marc
I'm just talking about the RV not the combined length of the RV & trailer. I believe that in order for the RV to be RVIA compliant they can't go over 45 feet overall. I know that Showhauler won't go over 45 because they stated that in a video and I doubt Renegade will either.
Check the federal regulations for vehicles and you cannot go over 45 feet on the chassis. Check your state it could have a shorter dimension for state roads. You can google the state and DOT laws and rules and pdf download them.
How can we best understand the differences in the various Renegade lines - say, Ikon, XL, Valencia, Verona, etc.? And now - Cascadia? For example, when we buy a Valencia, are we "settling" for a lower quality rig, or what? What's a good reason(s) to move up to the "next level'?
Hello Tom, Chuck has semi retired so he is not responding. However depending on what you are looking for we could have in stock or it could take a year. Let us know when you are ready and we will help.
When towing these super Cs it seems to me that the overhang is very close to the ground as opposed to a box truck on the same chassis. How do they lift them without scraping?
The torque is limited by the transmission, it would do more than 1850 but the transmission max torque is 1850 that is why it is the same for both engines.
Just over 26 tons, same as Europe for a 3 axle straight truck. Put a big semi dolly coupler on the back and hook up a proper air brake trailer 😉. With a trailer you can gross just over 44 tons?
Normally 80,000 is the max for the combined tractor trailer. Some states allow forestry and agriculture to max 120,000 in winter and Canada has other maximums in some territories. There are also maximum lengths for the tractor and trailer and overall length combined. They do have stacker (2 level) enclosed trailers that use the air brakes.
@@badgerpa9 in Ireland the max is 46 tons on 6 axles and UK is 44 tons but Europe is 40 on 5 axles. There are STGO regs that start at 1-3 in UK that go from 60 upto over 150 tons. There are tractor units designed to pull 250 tons.
@@theworldaccordingtochris4370 44 metric tonnes is about 97,000 pounds. You can get over weight permit and really exceed the normal weight but they require more axles. Bridges have a maximum weight per square inch of tire and if you go over that it is extremely expensive. Freightliner had a tractor with 4 axles that was rated to pull 200,000 but I doubt they do often.
@@theworldaccordingtochris4370 I assume that is a tractor and trailer? That is 46 tires, He must have had special permits as you can only load 24,000 pounds per axle and 500 pounds per square inch of tire touching the ground. The M1 Abrams tank mover is a 4 axle tractor with a 5 axle trailer.
the deer guard (cattle catcher) is on a set of hinges so you can release the pins and it folds down out of the way of hood.. i have one on my freightliner semi.. no probs
If you are asking about each time you start out on a trip yes you want to make sure the air gets up to pressure in the air tanks. If you do a good safety before you start on a trip you will be happier and save your self problems, it is a big rig. Depending on your state you license in would determine other factors.
@@j.r.3215 Yes could be I don’t know the regulations in every state. I live in Georgia and I have heard Texas does. In any case check with the state you live in.
@@TonyBenton0728 In Oregon as long as it is registered as a Recreational Vehicle and not used for hire you can drive it with a normal class C license, no endorsements required.
Checked recently your web and I have a question, can you make a cabin same as the one from Beverly Hills Cop one? the first film scene when Eddys try to sale truck of full of cigarets😄
Yes for this size (or anything over 26k lbs as all of these coaches are) requires a CDL. The only thing you would be exempt from would be some FMCSR's such as log book requirements and a medical card. The only thing I am not sure on and someone might be able to add to this is if you are subject to reg 382 which is random drug and alcohol testing.
