When we had kids, our Previa All Trac was the envy of many. Drove for 13 years, and bought an AWD 2004 Sienna. Drove that for 12 years. Now the kids are gone, and the 2015 Highlander is like the energizer bunny. It just keeps going, and going, and going. 135,000 miles, and absolutely nothing has ever broken. Just maintenance.
Just purchased a 2021 XLE Hybrid. It’s my first Toyota after being a lifelong Mopar Chrysler guy which also means I chose it over the Chrysler Pacifica. My son has cerebral palsy and this van will eventually be converted to a handicap accessible for his wheelchair. I’m very impressed with the direction of the redesign not only with the Siennas but also the trucks. Way to go Toyota 👍
Finally! I've been waiting for the redesigned Sienna. I was so close in buying the current 2020 model. But I love the look on the new 2021 Sienna. I always wondered why Toyota didn't make a hybrid van, and now its here! My 3 kids are older now and outgrew our 1996 4Runner, 2003 4Runner, 2014 4Runner, 2012 Tacoma, and 2017 Prius. My wife resented getting a mini van because she didn't want to be viewed as the "Soccer Mom". But after she rode in her sisters 2018 Sienna, she was sold on how much room it had. My family and I commute 50 miles per day so a hybrid would be perfect. The Prius has been wonderful but the backseat is a little narrow for my children now.
Whyyyy.... Why would you get rid of the V6? Why can't you just up the horsepower a bit? A 4 cylinder engine on a minivan is like a dog pulling a 5000lbs loaded sled.
Oh there is compromise, you need to get some type of quick connect so we can still remove the seats, as well the console coming back into the middle section is a VERY bad design decision, so disappointed in those two features. Guess I’ll be going Pacifica as opposed to another Sienna
Now figure out how to have 2nd row seats customer removable, for cargo and camping. The competitors are taking your lunch on total possible cargo capacity. Bonus marketing points if you release a portable base for the 2nd row seats, so they can be campsite loungers.
Thinking in the best interest of everyday Americans I think Toyota should've offered a gasoline engine option for its longevity compared to a hybrid only power train. I say this because frankly some families depend on the sienna for housing not just transportation. I'm concerned about how long that hybrid battery will last until it needs a replacement, meanwhile there are still 1st gen Sienna with gasoline engines still on the road.
No compromised? What a bummer no panoramic window! I had to postpone my siena purchase because of that! Hope 2022 is going to have what is lucking 2021. Also i have to say, the center console👌
I purchased a 2007 Sienna new 96000 miles now. All I replaced is tires, battery after 10 years. I wanted a 2021 but need the space in center of the car. Maybe next year the center seats will be removable.
Love Siena 13 years running. (2007) Only complaint is that I would love it for camping as the advertise if it just had more ground clearance. It rides so low that even the smallest bumpy road is an issue. How can it be a camping van when it skims the ground? Is this van any better then my 2007?

@@RicardoRoams I’m not sure why anyone would want to remove seats. This a people hauler not a cargo van. There is no way they I’d want to put cargo in a vehicle this nice. AWD is a must in many parts of the country. The AWD Sienna is faster than the Honda off the line which is what you need when jockeying for position in city traffic. The Honda V6 has to be wound out to make power. The Honda is faster 0 to 60 no doubt, but that doesn’t help when you need instant torque. The Sienna is very low maintenance. The engine has no belts and spark plugs are easy to change. Since it has regeneration there is no brake maintenance required (unless you are a bad driver). The Honda V6 requires timing belt and water pump replacement every 105k miles. That is very expensive maintenance and something a mechanic can easily mess up destroying the engine. Transverse V6s are very difficult to work on. Changing the rear spark plugs is a nightmare. Honda has weak transmissions. The Toyota has a much nicer interior though I understand that can be subjective. The Honda VCM V6 has a habit of burning oil as it gets higher miles. The Honda V6 isn’t exactly great on fuel.
@Herbert Wingfield Sorta That but in the overview they only have 1 person only feet showing 1 feature. It looks like Power Rear Seats But it is not looks like it but isn't the case. Power Rear Seats are not an feature.
toyota doesn’t know this, but.. if i ever get the platinum trim sienna, i’ll modify it to have 1500hp while still having the same fuel economy and having a powerful exhaust.
Why can you only get the 8 passenger seating up to only the XLE trim? Why can’t I get the fully loaded model with 8 seats? Also, is AWD available with the 8 passenger config?

I like it... I told my wife I'll give her my stimulus payment to get it, since she regrets trading in her 2015 Sienna to get her Highlander. Now she wants to go back to the Sienna, and make it the last vehicle she ever buys.
@@Snoopymk37 I get that they are not officially removable, but is there a way to take them out? (like there is for the "unremovable" 3rd row?). If not removable, it is unfortunately a dealbreaker for me.

@Toyota: You need to change the part where you mention 20" alloy wheels to say "20 inch alloy wheels with plastic wheel covers"... I'm so disappointed by the wheel covers but apparently not enough to keep me from buying a XSE. Another thing to point out: If you want a XSE with AWD, you won't be getting 20" wheels. 😥 Overall, the Sienna is a big step forward from my 2011.
