For the first time since 1993, the Montréal Canadiens are back in the Stanley Cup Final and hope to bring the greatest trophy in sports back to its most visited site. But, the Tampa Bay Lightning have also returned for the second consecutive year. In hopes of bringing the Cup back to Tampa in back to back years and for the 3rd time in team history. This will be a hell of a series. Who you got in the final?
Fluery will never forget that Game 3 giveaway goal. No doubt that in his mind he's thinking, "If that doesn't happen, Vegas is a closer in Game 6 or atleast can win it in Game 7."
That same game, Eric Staal gave away the puck which caused Vegas' first goal. If you want to take away Fleury's mistake, do the same for Staal. MTL likely would still win the game in OT.
These videos are awesome :-D I won't totally write off the Habs in this Cup Final, but, they are up against the defending Cup champs, & I doubt Vasilevskiy will have a meltdown in goal like Fleury did in the last round. Vasy looked a bit shaky in Game 1 vs the Isles but from then on played great in goal. Likewise, Carey Price has been outstanding in goal for Montreal in his 1st real deep playoff run in goal for the Habs. Almost like the goalies must just cancel each other out in this series. Montreal does have a chance because they've pulled off some real shockers in these playoffs. I'm pretty sure Tampa is well aware of what they're up against. But Tampa has faced some great teams too and are still playing for the Cup once again. Should be a good series coming up.
Currently the Rangers are 2-0 in the Conference Finals against Lightning. Looks like '21-'22 will belong to an island, but not to Long Island. To Staten Island
As an isles fan this is very depressing but I have hope next year and also I want the Habs since I don't like repeat Champs so I can't believe im saying this but GO HABS GO!
During the 70s and 80s, they haved some SCF with two teams in the east (Habs vs Bruins 1977 & 1978, Habs vs NYR in 1979, NYI vs Flyers in 1980, and a lot more).
@@STEVENVUEH599it’s not a dumb question cuz I’ve heard not all parts but I don’t know French so that’s why I’m asking cuz I hear a different language in Montreal. Im from NY and I’ve learned and still am learning Spanish in school.
Vegas got into trouble when their goaltending started to falter. Once they wound up rotating Fleury & Lehner, I sensed that Vegas wasn't in good shape. Carey Price pretty much outplayed them both in goal.
@@ckendall67 Wasn't really their goaltending. Fleury was great besides the game 3 mishap and Lehner was solid. Vegas' problem was that their forwards couldn't score.
GO HABS GO Tampa Bay only got to the finals because #1: Varlomov sucks and Got bullshitted by his OWN team #2: The Islanders suck and their defense is crap #3: They’re LUCKY MONTREAL IS GONNA BEAT TAMPA’S ASS
I wouldn't totally write off the Habs, maybe they can push the Bolts to at least 6 games, but....these are the reigning Cup champs, not just hungry for a repeat but THIRSTY for one as well. I'm goin' with Tampa but I don't want to be one of those 'Habs don't stand a chance' type of fans, although perhaps the 1st couple of games probably will tell us whether or not the Habs can match up vs Tampa.
Islanders totally robbed in that game 7. Yes they played a crummy game and didn't score but the 1 Tampa goal was beyond too many men as they had literally 6 skaters on the ice when Gourde gets that pass and scores. Note the defense of the Isles not even recognizing he was on the ice until he's wide open in the slot, because their change was so awful. Who knows what happens if the refs get the call right on the ice.
It wasn’t too many men. It’s normal AND LEGAL on a line change to have more guys on the ice than you’re allowed, as long as nobody is involved in the play and they’re a reasonable distance from the bench. Amazing some of you people don’t understand how that rule works. Gourde came on for Killorn. By the time Killorn was on the bench Gourde still hadn’t been involved in the play. Once Gourde got the puck Killorn was sitting on the bench. That’s not too many men. Your team lost to a better team.
@@th3gimp17 Tampa had the Puck but nobody involved in the line change did. Gourde didn’t touch the puck until well after Killorn sat down. There was nothing illegal about that play.
