2021 Suzuki RM-Z250 Motorcycle Bike Introduction Test | Racer X Films

Kris Keefer and Fox Racing's Kenny Day went to State Fair MX to ride and talk about the 2021 Suzuki RM-Z250. Keefer breaks down the new features on the bike including the new MX2.0 tuner, the chassis, engine components, and more. He also explains the RM-Z250 is perfect for a novice to intermediate-type engine and he says the bike feels light and nimble, compared to the Yamaha YZ250F and Kawasaki KX250 which can be too powerful for riders right off of 125s or superminis. Watch Day in action on the Suzuki and hear what the duo says about the RM-Z250.

Suzuki's bikes may be old, but they look fantastic. And let's be honest, ANY bike made in the last 40 years is faster than you are, unless you're actively looking for a path to the Nationals.
@tonydamoto4877
@tonydamoto4877 3 года назад
Yes but we value our money. If we have a better option we will choose this option. Suzuki is positioning itself as a low cost brand and for me this is a shame. Suzuki has so much history and they are ruining it!
@JETZcorp
@JETZcorp 3 года назад
@@tonydamoto4877 If you really value your money, you'd buy used. I think Suzuki's biggest problem is that the new-bike buyer isn't all that price sensitive and simply want the best. It used to be that you could make the 4th-best new bike and it would still curb stomp anything from 3 years before. Today you can get 90% of the performance at half the cost, so Suzuki offering 90% of the performance for 90% of the cost is a tough sell.

@@nestserau I am sure with the proper spring rate they would be better. Its just a dumb thing to do by suzuki in my opinion. Why put a spring for a 200 pound rider in a beginner level 250? The air forks on the 17 and 18 kinda suck too. lol.

I have one that is really fast. Get ECU, pipe, cams, HC piston, set up by JGR. The stock motor is fun, but doesn't rev out though. Handling is outstanding if you have suspension set up. I recommend PR2.
@EarthSurferUSA
@EarthSurferUSA 3 года назад
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PR2. There is one fairly sharp guy there, but he oversees nothing. I have 2 engineering degrees, and could not even communicate effectively with any of the other guys. I had my suspension lowered about 3/4". The front springs are way too stiff, and they put in a heavier weight oil than stock, and i have only gotten 8" inches of travel from them, (3" from bottoming), with zero compression on the clicker. I have to fix it myself. The rear shock, they could not follow my direction, and put in the wrong thickness spacer. They did not even know their own formula for the difference of the shaft travel to the rear axle,--I had to tell them what it is. I have to redo the shock also, and add a stiffer spring on that end. But they are not alone. The problem is a generation of poorly educated kids getting jobs now, and believe me,---every owner of a technical business is having problems right now. You might as well figure it out for yourself. You have a better chance of getting it right the first time.

To complicated to work on for most, too tall, too heavy, and way too expensive. That is why this sport is on it's death bed. Riding it may be the only good thing about the bikes today, but we lost 9 out of 10 riders in the nation over the years when these great changes were made. I will never ride one. Will stick with my YZ 2-stroke and just enjoy myself,---and ride what I want, not what the EPA and global commie governments want us to ride.
