I just did one of these if you loosen the locking bolt on door frame you can just pull on the bolt and it slides the locking plate so you do not need that pick tool 👍
Short Vids like theses are good but with lil considerations (like potential loose the recessed handle connection point inside the panel) they should also include reassembly just for the complete picture given they should still be a relatively short watch.
No mate I didn’t break the plastic pin that holds the inner out for the door handle, but yes they are easy to break and I have broken one in the past when I first worked on this design
German vehicles... Over complicated, always changing the engineering of a handle\everything else. I did a 2021 Tiguan the "alldata" said that ypu push the plate foreward when pulling the handle out. That releases the lock cylinder and the handle is then "stuck open" you rhen bop the handle from the front towards the rear to release the handle completely"... Over complecated.. any other vehicle... Remove cover remove bolt, pull lock cylinder, pull handle out and back handle is free.
