Planning on getting one as my first bike to learn on and go for my full license. Ticks all the boxes, now just need to sit on one and make sure my lanky ass isn't too tall for it
Bought mine, ridden out a few times, fantastic if you are new to biking. Absorbs bumps in road and handles well round town and through country roads and I like the sound of the engine too.
It's really nice but a grand over my budget unfortunately I'm planning on taking the full test next year and have been eyeing the Honda CMX500 Rebel so I would rather spend 5-6k on one of those.
That's a fair comment! They are a premium option for the 125cc market, I think those that buy one of these are planning on keeping hold of them for a while and maybe not getting their full licence (those that live in a city, commute short distances etc). CMX500 Rebel is also a good choice - we have a video on our favourite cruisers on the market if you fancied giving that a watch! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4hTh0vHbUvE.html
At the minute we are only able to provide information on EU / UK release, we are unable to comment on a release date for the Indian market unfortunately
Not sure I want to spend over 2k for a learner bike.. Damm nice though. Any suggestions for a cruiser that can do longer distances/copes with the continent? (Spain). Sinnis Hoodlum had caught my eye. I dont care re speed want something bigger/durable. (am fairly hefty)
It is a 125cc but I personally see the XSR as being aimed at people who want a smaller run around for urban riding who maybe don't want anything bigger, hence the smaller engine is perfect. And as you say the looks of the thing are next level! In terms of cruiser options, there are some great bikes out there both 125cc and bigger! we have a couple of videos on this which I will link below for you so you have loads of options! £4450 for a 125, how the hell did we get here, wasn’t long ago I was paying around 2k for a much better built machine made from far better quality materials 😒
Fugly. Reminded me of the old MZ 250. There's far prettier bikes out there and some swish looking Chinese bikes that just won't have yamaha build quality. In fact it looks like a 70s Italian bike too.
