@@wcmattman7571 you heard breathing noises throughout the video that sounded like they were being played through a tiny, shitty speaker, yeah? that's because they were, the PS4 controller would play those sounds, as i recall, really, PT was on an entire other level
ngl I think my favourite is the first video covering Crypt, mostly just because Vale went through the effort of making an entire game for the sole purpose of fucking with his friends. The dedication there overshadows the motive for me honestly.

Honestly, even watching someone play PT is terrifying as hell. Both Maivi and Vale had the guts to play these horror games, and that`s worth a lot of adrenaline and respect in my book. Kudos to Vale for no jumpscares
The answer to Vale's question "why does this feel different, why does it feel so scary?" is atmoshpere. Everything about PT's little world is designed to make the player uncomfortable, make them unsure, make them fear. And it works.
Maivi has to be my favorite member of the group. She always adds a wild card to every video. In the Joe Course, she was winning for most of it, in the Victoria 3 video, she picked crew and impostors, and in the torture board game, she was hungover, which, while not good, was admittedly hilarious.

The trick with horror games is to just act like you're after the monster. If you catch the monster and the game ends, you won. Clearly View every step as a power move, you're flexing on the fake monster.

Sometimes I wonder why Vale's friends keep agreeing to be tortured by him, then you have videos like this showing they enjoy torturing him just as much.
A lot of horror media uses infrasound (sound of lower frequency than we can hear) to trigger the fight or flight response, so watching a horror show/movie/game through a stream is likely less scary not only because youre with people but because the software isnt transmitting the sound.

Have you played Mortuary's Assistant? It's a fantastic game with great scares and cool story. Faith is also a phenomenal horror game that I'd highly recommend.
Fully expected this to be some random arg where Vale gives us loads of clues but none of them mean anything and eventually some of the clues would contradict other clues and it would go on for years until one day he uploads a video explaining the whole arg but everything he says in the video was never mentioned in any of the clues. Then everyone would forget about the thing until like 30 years later and then the arg would be started up again
To be honest i think the title gives a bit more horror to the video, like it was his last recording ever and that's the date. (YEEEeees, i know a new video got out 2 days before this, but you understood my point)
Fun fact: Vale 'forgot' to name the video to make sure less people watch. This is, as he said himself, justification as to NEVER do this type of thing again. He's a torturer that can't handle being tortured.
I want to watch this to hear vale's reactions to PT but I'm also a massive coward. I came back to this and legit had to put the monsters inc theme on loop just to get through this. The reason I used the monsters inc theme is because the talk of doors reminded me of the film
