I'm just absolutely amazed by the picture quality. Don't know why everyone is so concerned about Dolby vision! Just hope that one day you'll unbox Sony's QD Oled too & will make a comparison video with both of these tv.

Great review Paul and it's nice to see that "Bend" on the tv didnt effect Picture quality on your S95B. I wont comment on the tv itself because honestly I have said enough about it in other posts on other RU-vid pages in the past so I will keep further opinions on it to myself. What I am really looking forward to is your take on the LG G2 you got. I have seen it up close and personal and it's a beautiful tv so I wait to see what you think of it my friend.

Yeah touch wood the picture doesn't seem to have been effected at all by the bends in the panel. Also when it's up on the wall you can't really see them.

I saw your video on bending…..mine is very very slightly…hardly noticeable, still an awesome picture….but I do see it looking hard losing one eye…. I bought the four year warranty for $250 well spent I believe, I hope I don’t have to use it, but for first GEN technology from Samsung on QD oled … The warranty brings me peace of mind, I enjoy your videos greatly

Hi Paul, great video 👍🏻 my son recently purchased the 55” version for his bedroom and the tv itself is great but the it sits wonky on the stand, I phoned Samsung who sent me out a new stand but it’s still not sitting straight! 😫 apart from wall mounting it, is there anything else I should do?

If you turn everything off in power saving and intelligent mode and adjust the picture settings in one of the preset modes to your liking then 1080 on sky tv looks great. You would mistake some of it for 4k.

Hi Paul, Thanks for your review, this helps me a lot in deciding which TV to buy. I have thought about the LG OLED65G26LA (2022), and i want to have a nice room filling sound with bass. In an example movie like Saving Private Ryan a soundbar would really be the icing on the cake. I have heard the difference between an LG sound bar and a Samsung sound bar. The Samsung sounds a lot better if I may say so. I am thinking of buying the Samsung HW-Q990B, but i saw a review by Digital Trends and it seems like the Samsung sound bar will work best with a Samsung TV. For that reason i am now trying to make the right choice between the LG TV and the Samsung TV. Would a combination of the Samsung QD OLED 65S95B (2022) with the Samsung HW-Q990B be a good choice? Hey Paul Ty for the vid as always, great Tv isn't it. Can I ask....did you voluntarily update the tv from 1204 because I noticed your auto update was off, or did it do what it did to myself and countless others and force the update even with it switched off? Happened to me twice. Hope you enjoy it despite the bends.

What i done was to agree in the initial setup stage for the TV to update later when the TV is switched off. I think this is a mistake many are making as at a quick glance it seems like you are agreeing for you to update it later at your own will, but that is not the case. What people need to be doing is when you get to the setup page where it says about looking for updates, you need to press on skip which is up in the corner.

Also if you use the smart things app it automatically turns everything on so you are kinda taking your TVs life in your hands if you want to use ambient stuff etc. Everything short of disconnection in the beginning I did, still updated 😢 Lots in the same boat. I'm totally offline now and using roku instead 👍

Not sure if uouve seen it by this Samsung is now faulty. But when it get it fixed or replaced I aim to test it out against the LG G2, and I will do see how it directly compares when it comes to Sky HD.

I've hung too many TVs to remember including quite a few ultra thin OLEDs and yet to have one bent out of the box! Great videos for DIY homeowners but own your mistakes! You'll be criticized in comments but you wind up better for it. As I said in the previous comment that Samsung bent when it was carried laying flat which would never be an issue with thicker QLEDs but buried in fine print Samsung tells you with s95 you cannot go past a 15 degree tilt for that exact reason

Thanks for highlighting the issue with the height on the wall mount. My bracket is installed to accommodate my Sony which had the mounting brackets towards the top of the TV, so it sits much lower on the wall. I'm worried that with the Samsung I'll need to drill new holes as the mount is right at the bottom of the TV.

One thing I noticed is that the S95B does not have the advantage of various speaker arrangements as are found in the LG C/G 1&2 variants and Samsung QN90/95 ..Qn800/900 B models.

Looking forward to the gaming comparison. If you have the space and money you should keep both. They serve different purpose. C2 is the undisputed champion when it comes to gaming but the picture on the QD is so beautiful.

How is C2 the champ, S95B can do 4K144. For consoles I can see C2 being better given HGIG support out the box, but for PC, S95B is the way to go.

@@TheTechGiantRU-vid I love the S95B. I’m shocked at how bright it is. My first OLED and all i kept reading was they were not as bright but the S95B is way brighter than my Sony X900E.For the most part, its the best TV i had but this is our 3rd top end Samsung that we had issues with so it may be our last. The Sony A95K is just way too expensive. I’m spoiled now though, I cannot get anything else but OLED so if things go south or the repair/replacement takes week, I may just get an LG C2 and sell it. Probably my frustration amping up my brain right now.

Wrong, Samsung has gaming overlay which is superior now. S95B also supports 144 Hz native + 1440p for PC usage and VRR/Gsync/Freesync. LG OLEDs have HDR/HGIG issue in HDR gaming + raised blacks in VRR mode, which is still not fixed and probably never will be, resulting in a very dim picture and/or bad image quality with VRR enabled. And I even have 2x LG OLEDs in my house .... S95B is pretty much the best gaming TV now with insane colors and brightness thanks to QD filter. So go read up on that claim.

Hi Paul. Eberyday i turn on my S95 it doesn't recognise Sky Q plugged into HDMI. I have to remove cable and reattach. Then sky reverts to 1080i which is terrible. Have you encountered this? Any advice greatly appreciated.

I am live in the U.S. and the back of my Samsung 55 inch S95B, the color in the back is all black. I noticed on the S95B in England, the color on the back is gray.

Sadly I didn't get much opportunity to game with the S95B before it broke. I hope to do a gaming test between the G2 and S95B as soon as it is sorted out. But if I had to gone an answer right now then I'd probably say the S95B with it's extra brightness would the most appealing. Just a shame it doesn't support Dolby Vision for gaming.

I previously had a Samsung and the sound quality was really really impressive. The bass and the clarity was like having a soundbar. But sadly wasn’t a fan of the picture quality as far as HDR which Samsung lacked in LED TVs.

For some reason s95 is glitching and jitters with outside sources because it runs faster than most cable boxes fire sticks and Chromecast. Using the internal streaming services works perfect because it's optimized for the screen

A90J is not even close, you should get a huge discount on the A90J regardless since it's a 2021 model, still a good TV but not close to S95B, A95K or G2.
