Check out the action from the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach qualifying session at the Long Beach Street Circuit. The third round of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech Championship season.
IMSA Channel - whatever you do, don’t stop doing what you’re doing. The coverage you post of each event is exceptional in both quantity and quality and I can’t help but watch every event. Thank you for your amazing work!
Wow! I felt the DPi speed in this session. They are so close to the walls…sometimes too close but to see and feel how they were pushing their cars to max shows the talent of the people involved. This is peak racing and we have to appreciate it.
This session was a real treat. Nobody was holding back at all. Long Beach is awesome, you never get a chance to sit down because everyone is at 💯 the entire time.
CORVETTE RACING is on a roll! Looks like they’ve pretty much got the car dialed in. It’s hilarious because they’re still on top even after the BOP changes. Hoping for a win and continued success at Leguna!
Im very pissed and kinda depressed I missed the entrie qualifying again I was there all day since 11 it was so hot but my parents wanted to go home so I went home. I saw the IMSA Practice at least but I'm still kinda upset I missed qualifying. Time flys when you're having such a fun time at the grand prix
i was there for the race part, the dpi was the nicest car i’ve seen and it was so loud it felt awesome, sebastien bourdais and renger van der Zande were both amazing drivers
Still miss the Mazda's from the DPI field, but the red 02 will do for now. Still LOVE the WTR Acura though. Also, that Porsche drift was legendary! Proper car control.
Always great to see these cars go around Long Beach! It'd be nice to have some more timing info on the broadcast, like sector times for the current laps, at least for the car that is currently on screen. Otherwise the only way to know if someone's on an actual fast lap is the commentators mentioning it. Part of the excitement of qualifying for me is the suspense if a driver can bring home the quick lap, and that's kind of missing without sector times.
ahhhh. I just got long beach on iRacing, racing in my porsche gt3R, and i've thought of that last hairpin wrong. I've been trying to turn left before turning in, but now watching it sounds so dumb. i'm just making it slower, i need to angle to the right more, so there's less turn to do. dumb me
Who was the racer who wrecked at the end of practice 2 today? I saw his car pass by on top of the truck and was wondering what happened and hoping he was okay, cause it seemed like everyone had been doing so well
thx IMSA for Qualifying. pleased to hear there was an inquiry into the BOP to the Corvette at Sebring, rightly so. well done to IMSA for that n the changes to the Corvette for this race. i think all that luv IMSA want gud hard close racing n that simply wasnt. well done to all the pole winners.
Qualifying most certainly does work on IMSA.com/tvlive globally. Porsche Carrera Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Mazda MX-5 Cup races are also streamed globally as well. If you are having issues with the streams, please email info@imsa.com and we'll happily get your sorted. A lot of times if a user is having an issues streaming, they have a browse 'Add On' that is creating the issue. Thanks!
I'm angry and unhappy because I missed the entry qualification again. I'd been there all day since 11 a.m. since it was so hot, but my folks wanted me to go home, he says. At the very least, I witnessed the IMSA Practice.
Ford plans to return to IMSA action in the future with a Mustang GT3. You should sign up for the IMSA weekly newsletter so you can be informed of all the happenings!
It’s annoying when the commentator is tell listeners about the temperature in London. What purpose does that serve the veiwers? The race is taking place in California. Why do we need to hear about the London weather. So you’re telling me when their is a race at Silverstone you’re telling Britains about the weather in California. I would think they don’t care either. Just an observation.
Thanks for the feedback @strongium9900 The commentators are broadcasting remotely so perhaps they just wanted to make a comparison to the weather they are experiencing to the heat here in Long Beach.
