I'd prefer this to an S-Class! The S-Class is very nice but they've gotten so boring and they're so common. This looks more exclusive and I love the fresh styling! Can't wait to eventually get it!
I totally agree with you 💯. The S-class is very nice and that's still the standard/benchmark for the full size luxury sedan but the exterior is just so boring now and it pretty much has no presence on the road anymore. The G90 on the other hand is fresh and different and unique which makes it feels exclusive.
I absolutely love the S Class but I agree with you. I wouldn't say it's boring, but certainly more obvious and typical a choice. The Genesis will stand out nicely!
The S-Class is not boring in any means but yeah this new G90’s certainly look fresh and unique, the same also could be said about the Lexus LS. Although I’d still prefer the 7 series.
I must say; this is one of the most magnificent cars ever built, the interview for this vehicle is one of a kind. incredible taste I love this car indefinitely!!

Love my 1st Generation G90 and my wife’s GV70. Two things that are minor annoyances … garage door buttons on mirror are not illuminated (have to feel for the buttons at night) and cup holders not temp controlled (hot/cold) - had that in my Chrysler 300 years ago. The new G90 is a stunner and I’ll certainly be upgrading if/when the V8 AWD model becomes available.
Bradford, I couldn't agree more. I too have a 2021 G90 V8. I just love it, and couldn't imagine dropping to a V6 - Eventhough, I do love most of the improvements. It's absolutely gorgeous and a pleasure to drive. Genesis is definetely heading in the right direction.
@@ebonix33 only regret I have is that I didn't go for the top trim 3.5T model, here in Canada we have two options only -2.5T advanced and 3.5T prestige. Go check out the car yourself and I'm sure you will be pleased.
Well the new g80 is the trendsetter for genesis sedan. Some cues from g80 seen on this new g90 e.g. the shoulder line going upward as it runs from the back 2 the front. ❤️ all their models xcept that electric 1; it's hard 2 ❤️ it, man!😅 Anyways, congrats on ur new g80! Beautiful car!
One of the BEST car demonstrations that I've ever watched! The honesty and sense of enjoyment was refreshing. Just bought an Audi A8L, but definitely a fan of Genesis G90.
Well done review of the G90. Ever since the press photos leaked I have been eager to see an in-depth look at what I think is a gorgeous luxury sedan. Genesis is killing it.
I waited for ever for the new g80 then when I saw it I was disappointed because it was small. I said, they better not mess up the g90! And they did, NOT DISAPPOINT!!! THIS IS ONE GORGEOUS CAR. I hope it lives up to its hype when I see it in real life.
problem is, genesis gives no discount, mercedes does, so price will be the same at the end, with slight advantages for mercedes for further selling price, so you gotta be a genesis fan or the g90 has to be way better than the s-class to justify the price, which i thought.

Genesis continues to push the envelope in providing high quality and reliable vehicles at prices more accessible than its counterparts from Europe and Japan. I imagine the upcoming Genesis GV-90 luxury SUV will receive most of the elegant styling elements and features from this new G-90 sedan.
Excellent/honest review........often when foreign people analyse a car, the accent can get in the way (some words are difficult), not with you.....your as smooth as the car!
A truly amazing vehicle. I know 75k USD is a lot of money but when you compare it to other cars in the same segment, the G90 offers a lot of vaule for the money. Looking forward for the in-depth review.
75K USD starting price, direct conversion, so we do not know the international pricing just yet for this all new Genesis G90. But i am sure Genesis will price it competitively. Thanks Rob.
Very thorough review. I love the large space for rear passengers getting in and out. All you would require in a luxury car and it appears very responsive. I would buy that rather than German
Finally. Has been looking forward to this for some time now. It will be great if Genesis made the side glass flush with the pillars for a more smooth and clean looks. Nevertheless, it's an impressive ride. The two lines lightings are just a breakthrough design, certainly recognisable as a Genesis.

The new G90 is better now than before. 1) Smart Parking 2) Twin Turbo V6 3) Panoramic Moon Roof!!! I love it even more! Good things do come to those who wait!! I give this car one negative comment- no 5-spoke sport wheels like the GV80

I love the fresh, redesign of the Genesis G90. It is attractive both in and out. I observed a fridge box seem not to be available. I also think a mild electrified V8 engine would have better suit this car than the twin turbo V6. I keep having this idea that Genesis should work with Koenigsegg to use the latter's free valve technology which will boost power and also increase both thermal and fuel efficiency. All in all. Good job Genesis. You have truly done well. 👍🏾
The newest Ford Raptor, which is usually a v8 also recently switched to twin turbo v6 and claims it has more horse power seems like this is a trending industry shift.

I really hope that in the United States, the G90 is offered with a more powerful engine than the 3.5 V6 that they already offer in their other models. For it to truly compete with Audi, BMW, and Mercedes, the Genesis G90 simply must offer a more powerful engine option.
Genesis is investing in EVs. It’s really not likely tbh! I’d believe there’s an electric version of this before I believe there’s a more powerful engine
regalgs51, that is true!. It would be desirable for Genesis to also combine (mild hybrid or active cylinder flushing...) technology with a 3.5 petrol Twin turbo V6 engine!. At least if the V8 becomes the most powerful engine.
V8's are dead, lol! Genesis' main focus as of now are EV's, maybe the G90 is getting an electric version with the same 577 hp motor as from the Kia EV6, who knows?
Great review - can't wait until we get this in the US! Regarding the B&O stereo I had an Audi A8L with the upgraded B&O stereo - it was by far the BEST car audio system - so happy to see Genesis moving in this direction. Mine had a similar set up where the tweeters rise up out of the dash. Love your reviews - very informative and professional - thanks!
I LOVE this new G90! My only bone with it is the engine choice. They've positioned it so that it can only compete with the base engine options from Germany. But that's how it's priced too. I'd love to see them put their inline 6 diesel in this as well to compete better with the Germans.
It seems more practical and user friendly than the S Class, without sacrificing luxury. Also, the S Class has a lot of piano black material with touch screens which would leave a lot of finger oil marks

10:22 Unfortunately, there was a report that the 3.5TT will be replacing the 5.0L V8. I don't think it's coming back. I really wish that V8 Genesis Coupe by Rhys Millen Racing had been put into production. But alas, we can only hope that the Genesis X actually gets built.
wow! from a Korean company that started selling their vehicles in the the US in 86 that hardly nobody wasn't studdin' them: look at them now! I am not sure about the reliability on these cars, but they are nice! they have came a long way! Infiniti COULD NEVER unless, they invest more in their product! way to GO Genesis! Genesis has always given you more bang for the buck, and even though the price is now higher, it still is the obvious choice when choosing between its competitors. Too bad it ranks poorly here in the US, not because of the car, but because of the lack of availability in most areas. Most Hyundai dealers lost the Genesis franchise making a lot of Genesis customers upset. If Genesis marketing can get it together here in the US, they could dominate the competition because the cars are that good.
As I recall, some states took exception to Hyundai dealerships also selling Genesis brand cars. Dedicated Genesis dealerships are coming as a result though.
I think the plush pillows in the rear seats, the rear seat controls, and the push button door controls (all around) make this a serious S-Class fighter! I like that they have a full 12.3 in digital instrument cluster for the driver now, but hate the physical separation dash piece between the driver's and infotainment screens. Also don't like the steering wheel or the wheel design. This G90 feels like 2 steps forward, 1 step to the side, and then 1 step back. Great review and drive Charlie.
Look nice and more luxury than the old one. Like the white color. It's interesting. For mine opinion Bang olufsen is the top. The company have more than 90 years of experience. Genesis grows up. Well done 👍
I am old school I wish the air dam below the bumper had a big open space with an intercool radiator showing flanked by Halo eyes fog lamps. I know not good for aero, but I would be the best, meanest looking asian car in the world.
Yes, 14.5inch from the Genesis GV80 or G80 is just longer not any bigger. So, I guess that is why Genesis chose to use 12.3inch for the infotainment screen. Thank you for enjoying the all new Genesis G90 review.
