Picked up my 2022 Sedan 4.0 Quattro S Line last week (Melbourne - Australia). Apart from a few things that you mention (slipping in a few scratchy plastics and use of high gloss piano finish on interior which is going to be hard to maintain) I have been very impressed. Loved my last 2017/18 A3 Sedan and found it hard to part with it. My jury was out in the first few drives, but once comfortable with all of the changes to the new A3, very much happy with how comfortable the new A3 is... The 2.0 litre engine also provides some fun power combined with Quattro. Agree with your comments and also recommend upgrading to Premium package as well as adding panoramic sunroof.

I like it. Think I’m going to swap my 2022 golf life for this.

Would you be able to do a comparison between the 2022 Audi A3 40 TFSI Quattro and the current Mercedes-Benz A250 4Matic? Thanks

Strange that in North America, the A3 only comes in 40 TFSI, but the 48V MHEV system is standard with the 2.0T engine here, ditto with optional quattro AWD.

I ordered my 40 TFSI Tango Red + black trim with a sunroof but no premium package. However, I wasn't impressed by the interior either. My wife has Q3 Sportback ($63k) with giant wheels + sunroof + ambient lights +adaptive cruise control and more. The cost of 40TFSI is $68k with very little extra details. A3 40TFSI is not a value for money at all. I just fell in love with Tango Red and that's all. Still not sure if I should spend that much money for this car...

The Skoda Octavia 140TSI is far better value, on the same MQB platform. Roomier, sleek sedan shape and amazing levels of standard equipment. Surely you didn’t order it simply bc it’s red, you’re already admitting yourself you “weren’t impressed by the interior” and “is not value for money at all”. Some people need to stop solely considering cars with a “premium” badge.

40 TFSI or Golf GTI?

If you can do without the Audi badge, the Skoda Octavia 140TSI LE liftback is honestly going to be much better featured with more legroom and a 50%+ larger 600L boot for a few grand less than the car tested. Same EA888 engine and Volkswagen MQB platform, but the standard equipment list is endless: heated, ventilated, massage, memory, electric front seats, head-up display, virtual cockpit, Matrix LED lights, electric bootlid, heated rear seats with tri-zone ac, all sorts of colourful ambient LED lighting, wireless Android auto (not just wireless CarPlay). Half of these things are optional on the Audi and the other half aren't even available. I'm starting to wonder where the "luxury" is - why are bog standard features for this price-point like adaptive cruise an option (existed well before chip shortage woes) and in years past, proximity keyless entry?

He spoke, spoke, spoke, and spoke a little more for more than 8 minutes and did not inform the capacity of the trunk, something that is essential in a sedan car.

haha wouldn't expect much trunk capacity from A3 anyway

I checked out this car at the dealer and I felt the car was cheap inside. I hate the new info system and car is way too expensive. BMW feels far more premium in the same class
