Great review of a great car. I have a 2002 Mk1 and a 2008 Mk2 Roadster and they are so well designed and built its like getting into a new car. The Mk1 is raw and loads of fun and the Mk2 silky smooth and blows bubbles out the rear pipe. Both are music to my ears. Now looking for a Mk2 TTS hardtop and a Mk3 TTRS. They will be classics just on build quality alone.
Good review thanks, at last someone also answers the questions on what a sports car is like for the 99% of the time when you're not trying to beat your fastest lap at the 'ring. Interesting to hear what the refinement is like on the motorway, how much space it has, boot size etc. Yes a "proper" sports car like an MX5 or Boxster will be more thrilling in the twisties, but when you've driven for hours on end to get to those twisties and your ears are ringing & your back is stiff from being cramped into a tiny cokpit... I suspect the TT owner will ultimately enjoy the drive more.
