I bought the custom cover for my 2012 175 TXW and loved it. Word of caution, I upgraded my trolling motor to a Terrova I Pilot and the cover no longer fit. So a local canvas shop reworked the nose of the cover to make it fit. Didn’t look great because the material didn’t match. Eventually the cover material failed after about eight years and I had a new custom cover made.
It really sucks they don't build this cover with an adaptive pocket at the bow for adding better trolling motors later. As soon as you install something with flip up easy deploy( which most people do) it sticks past the bow and the cover then needs to be cut around the new trolling motor or not used. I chose to cut the cover around the trolling motor. Outside of that the cover is really nice, mine is 2019, it's even nicer now with those ratchet straps and hooks in the back.
I just bought a used 2020 Classic XL and was considering what kind of cover to get. Glad to have found your video, I can see how the custom fit cover will be worth the $$. I noticed you have a step mounted on your trailer tongue. where did you get that one and what was the cost if you don't mind my asking?
I got the custom cover in 2018 for my 2018. The boat is never inside. It has had a regular cover and custom cover from the day it came home with it . I have never used it's regular cover and it has always had its custom cover on it. The custom cover is on it now right this minute. It's 2023 and the custom boat cover has never needed any work done on it. We'll worth the money !!!
No problem Ozark . By the way , our boats are almost identical. I have the 70 merk. though. I also got the passenger console with windshield and glove box. She looks great your gonna love her. I took one back ice box out and used it as a battery box too. And upgraded to a bigger trolling motor, with spotlock and connect to screens.
