@@amidrissi4679 Yeah I guess in Europe the European brands are domestic, which makes things way cheaper for you, jealous! We have to pay through the roof for European cars here in Australia. After all the taxes this M3 is about $160k AUD

That 186.8kmh is a 116mph pass in the 1/4 mile. That car is making more power than claimed.

the time is pretty accurate for that power to weight ratio, my car is extremely close in numbers and gets the same.

Use any ET calculator online and they will say approx 450hp to do 116mph at 1670kgs. Account some time lost for wheel spin and manual, I would say that 480hp is right on the money.

I loved the reviews so much I went out and bought a new M3. Disappointingly I have owned the car for a year and a half now and my car has been at a BMW dealership awaiting a faulty part from Germany for two months. the sad part is that it is not a major part. I have written to BMW Australia and they are unresponsive as to when the part will arrive in Australia and my car repaired. Very poor customer service from what I thought was a trusted brand. They hide behind a call center located in the Philippines which are trained just to fob you off. disgraceful at best. As it stands I am paying very expensive finance and insurance for a car I cant even drive and have no idea when I will get it back.

Unfortunately premium cars no longer feel as premium as they used to. They all seem to use similar plastics inside as regular brands, even the leather almost looks fake.

Woo. Great model BMW 🙂. Although i reckon it'd be better with 18" wheels instead of the 19/20" liquorice strip combo. Its still hits a great balance of everything you need & nothing you don't to have a great driving experience

During Vbox testing we did shift quicker but it doesn’t really enjoy full flat-shifting. For the video we just did smoother shifts, as shown, as these runs are not timed. Hope that helps.

B58 is only fitted to m lite cars M3 /m4 got s58

S58. This is BMW M's engine while the B58 is a BMW engine. It is based on the same unit but M employs twin-turbo induction while the B58 is single turbo (with 'Twin Power'/twin scroll technology).

For twin scroll to work with current tech in turbos. You need an even number of cylinders per turbo. So the m340 is twin scroll single turbo. The m3 is single scroll twin turbo. The m5 is twin scroll twin turbo, as it has 8 cylinders, 4 per turbo.

$145,000 , a tank of petrol, a screaming engine, growling exhaust, lots of tyre tread firmly baked on the pavement… only to be matched to 4.4s by a $80k Tesla Model 3 LR or wholly smoked by a $98k Model 3 Performance in 3.3s. The way those cars get power to the ground is truly something else.

People, ostensibly, wouldn’t buy a manual M3 To be fast (it’s odd that that sentence makes sense). An RS3 and lots of other cheaper cars (even a stock Golf R is similar - albeit more consistently faster) but people who buy this car want the name and cache of an M product and want it as a weekend fun car. I’m not one of those people - but good luck to those 0.1% that do

We have an M4 xDrive test coming soon - watch this space 😀 Also, the M3 has never been about 0-100 times whereas we’d argue that’s about all the Model 3 can do well, from a driver’s car perspective. This is more engaging and more entertaining on many levels in our opinion - it tickles more senses - again from a driver’s point of view. But as another commenter said, these two cars are not designed to compete with each other. One is designed as a green, fuel-free piece of transport and the other is mainly designed for driving fun on and off the track. Hope that helps.
