I spoke to a bmw "genius" instructor yesterday who explained how pre-ventilating the X3 from the bmw phone app can make the car more comfortable in summer--but not in winter, obviously. And I didn't know there's an idrive 8 already, thought the 2022's are idrive 7.
Hi Ramone, great, informative hidden gems of information. For your viewers, depending on the Country they are buying a BMW in, due to that Countries Law, certain functions will be disabled, such as remote start and it is impossible to change, unless reprogramming and overriding using special coding equipment. For example, in the UK, if you ever leave a vehicles engine running with no one inside in the drivers seat, it is a criminal offence (Lose your driving Licence, heavy fine, points on licence, etc). That is why features that BMW vehicles have, as well as all vehicle manufacturers, some work, some do not, depending on the Country the vehicle has been sold in. This is also done to stop the manufacturers being liable for prosecution. Europe, is notorious for this, even in Germany, the home of BMW. It is done for EU Law and EU Emissions rules. Now the UK is out of the EU, we are pushing the UK Governments to change these laws to allow such functions as remote start and cabin pre-conditioning. So some of your viewers would be correct, especially American Military, that have purchased their BMW with American Forces Discounts and Tax Free Discounts in Europe, then shipped the vehicle to the US. If purchased the vehicle in the US, then as you showed your viewers, it is easy to turn-on and activate the function. Hi Ramone, I loved the Details u spoke abt in this review, I've got a question for you: these 20inch wheels, are they good enough for to handle all season condition. I was told by the retailer that these Msport package 20Inch wheels are just good enough for summer but not for winter.
They are summer wheels! 20” with low profile Michelin tires. They aren’t ideal for winter and snow but the tires are the most important part, you could fit snow tires on them but it’s best you go to 18 or 19 for snow
I do love the alpine! It’s a pretty solid white color all my other cars were mineral white so I wanted a bit of a change however I would day MINERAL WHITE IS THE BEST !!

My tints are ceramic 15 sides 35 windshield! I put the 15s over the factory rear tint so the back is a bit darker. Checkout my first X3 video to see what the factory was like before

This is a 30i M sport! Only M40i and M has shadowline options as of now also get the Dynamic handling package it gets you bigger M sport brakes and adaptive suspension it’s a no brainer
What you think about X3 vs X5? Is it true that X5 slower but people say that it's a bit more refined? They also say that X5 is a "soccer mom car", ever heard of it?
My dad had an X5 and I can say from living with it there’s no SUV In it’s class that is as sporty and luxury depending on spec. X5 weighs more but has a B58 the X3 M40i can get a B58 as well so it’s all down to weight, but the X5 is by no means slow
Press unlock then press again and hold to roll down windows! Press lock then lock and hold to close windows and sunroof or press the touch sensitive lock on the door handles and touch ahd hold again to close
I have heated seats hardware all from factory (US) we don’t have a subscription based system yet for it but I would assume it’s very possible since other remote upgraded can be done
cool video man, very helpful. quick question, i bought same car as yours but i cant close the trunk with the key fob. i can open it just fine, but the only way to close it is either through the button(s) on the trunk, or by kicking it. or by holding the button on the driver door. am i missing something in regards to the key fob?
Hi apa-tess. It is a BMW safety function. Yes, you can close the trunk with the key fob, by holding-down on the button with your finger, until closed. If you take your finger off the button, the trunk will stop closing. If this is not working, go into your Idrive 7 settings and if this does not work, go and see a BMW Dealerships and they should be able to reprogram this function for you.
