I'll take the X3M over the Macan every day

I have an ‘22 X3M comp. Enjoy every mile. I always hear people say how stiff the ride is but I don’t find that to be the case at all. If you’re considering I wouldn’t let that scare you away. It is exactly what I’d expect from an M car. Get a 1982 Cadillac if you want to float everywhere.

There's just something about BMW's. I'd go for the X3MC anytime.

X3M is larger and you can put a mountain bike in the back with the wheel still on it with the seats down. My BMW dealer gave me an X4M Competition as a loaner. I loved it and maybe it’s because I’m old (44), I didn’t think it was particularly stiff. Some of the cars I drove as a kid were buckets of bolts.

Great review.. I just purchased a 2023 X3 M40i and I love it.. Not as powerful as the full on M but the power it delivers with the crackling sound never gets old. Thanks for the excellent review on the M!

My neighbor has a similarly spec'd X3m in that amazing army green color, except he has the yellow headlights and some other parts of the grill blacked out and its one of the nicest specs ive ever seen on an x3m and its one of the few cars that ive seen with those yellow headlights where it actually looks good and actively makes the car look nicer.

I have this car, love it, carrys the large dogs and still beats pithy mercs and audis anywhere. Tuned takes these to a whole new level as well.

Got a 2023 X3 M40 . Amazing car . Wouldn’t change it for anything. It’s a beats . Can’t imagine the M Competition. Great review btw .

Great vid. Subbed. Got a 2022 X3M Comp in the Marina Bay Blue a few months back and I LOVE IT!!! My dealer told me the wireless phone charging trays have been deleted to save on the microchips, due to the global shortage.

The area you referred to as the wireless charging is actually used as a location to set the other “keys” for the vehicle (phone or card key) in order for them to be recognized. Not all are equipped with wireless charging. I made this mistake on my 4 series

This is pretty much an suv version of the m3 which I love, In snowy places it’s tough to drive a car so if you want an m3 but live somewhere snowy, this is a good substitute

I would go for the X3MC. It looks better and is more practical. Stiff suspension rarely bothers me since I daily sports cars...it just reminds you that you're in something special.

Great overview. The little gully in the back, under the lid is for the cargo cover when it's removed from the cargo area.

I have a 2018 x3 m40i and a 2022 x3m comp. I love them both. The only Porsche I would think about getting is a gt3 rs 😅.

Dope vid. Picked the comp every single time. The macan is tiny. This thing is a nuclear animal at all times. Probably it’s love hate relationship lol but they did a great job at getting the lci dialed in properly.

Are you ceiling Hex lights RGB or just plain White? Because being able to use hues to emphasize or deemphasize aspects of the video will look cool. Just the ceilings. No additional side wall lights and all that visual noise.

I had the X3 M40i, great car, just upgraded to a 2023 Mercedes C43, waiting delivery at the end of the month!!!

We’re loving our ‘22 X3 M40i, and it’s stiff enough as is. I’d hate the ride in this I suspect, though that color is 🔥🔥🔥!

So I was debating this for a while. Ultimately ended up with the 2023 X3M Comp. I LOVE Porsche. But at this price point and it being daily driver SUV, I want the creature comforts like heads up display, digital gauge cluster, ambient lighting, and more space. Porsche doesn't offer that in the GTS and it's still more money, and the rear seats in the Macan are laughable and not good for any road trips or 6' people. I would forego all the creature comfort stuff I just said if we were talking about a 911 which is an incredible beast, but we're not. This is a daily driver comparison and you won't take it on twisty roads most of the time. Just my two cents.

I have an X3 M40i and absolutely love it. X3 M competition's suspension was just too much for me and I prefer the torque at lower RPM's on the B58 as well. Still X3M is a sick car, can'y go wrong with it.

Great video! I just placed an order for one in Marina Bay Blue. I decided against the comp pkg so that I could get the 20"s for a slightly smoother ride. I've had bad experiences with 21" wheels on the crappy roads that I daily drive. Also that "Umbrella holder" in the floor of the trunk is actually to store the retractable cargo cover in case you put down all the rear seats and want the cargo cover bar out of the way. My current X3 M40i has the same. Will also add that I had a Macan S before the M40i and although the Macan S was a great driver it lacked a lot of utility that the X3 offers.

I recently sold my BMW 320i, I bought about 5 years ago. Not working and starting a company and looking forward to get a New BMW. I was thinking a 2022 or 23 M4, but this SUV is killer. Curious as to how many units were made? I see you do a lot of video reviews is this vehicle price a USA price? I love the the attitude man thanks so much for the information on this Uber nice beast!

Keeping in mind that it still is an SUV Is a factory hitch available on the X3m? It doesn’t specify on BMW site nor is there a max tow weight.

Awesome performance for the price. I’ve heard this is one of the hardest riding vehicles on sale though, that would be a deal breaker. No reason for a family suv to ride like a GT3RS

I have a 22 X3 M40i and absolutely love it! Very balanced… The trick with these M cars is to ditch the Run-Flats ASAP, because they’re absolutely terrible. Makes a huge improvement with ride quality.

I would go for the Porsche, I like the styling better and I feel you don’t see as many Porsches around as you do BMW.

Its not for an umbrella, its for the boot cover if you need to remove it.

I just ordered the x3mc today in carbon black. I couldn't decide to get the regular x3m or the x3mc. I didnt get the drive pro package or whatever and saved 1700 that brought the difference between a x3m with executive and pro drive package and the x3mc with exdcutive and no pro drive to about 2500 dollard difference

I’d get the Bmw X3M comp, it’s more fun to me, it gets sideways, it’s raw. The Porsche Macan is too refine, too perfect for me lol.

I’m trying to decide between the the Macan GTS and x3m the problem is you can’t walk into a Porsche dealer and buy a GTS, they don’t have them so I’m leaning towards the X3M. I’d love to know if anyone else has had this experience. I live in the Bay Area Ca. It just doesn’t make sense

Owned both, had 2 GTS (22/23) both great cars, but the chassis and suspension setup on the GTS is borderline witchcraft. Incredibly compliant in normal road, all down to the fact it has Porsches air suspension. Stick air on the X3M, which is what they should of done, I know which one I’d be choosing. GTS FTW

I’m stuck between both as he listed. I don’t have any kids or wife yet, so I don’t see the back seat being used often as it’s a bit less room vs x3 m. All my friends and family have their own cars also.🤣 In terms of raw power, I am not an aggressive driver nor do I think I will ever need that much horsepower in regards to the competition level. Suggestions anyone? Price isn’t the problem but what’s more practical?

Definitely this. Because your other car is going to be a Cayman, and you don't want two Porsches in the same garage.

Macan is my choice. I had the x3 and regretted every moment of the 3 years that o owned it. My new Macan is awesome and the feel of driving is just amazing g

Macan GTS is underpowered now that the Turbo variant is gone... My tuned X3M40 makes the same power as the top shelf Macan for so much less money. Bring the Turbo back and then we'll talk X3M vs Macan
