Consumer Reports heartily agreed with your assessment. They called the 22 X5 " ...one of the best vehicles we've ever tested " And it's overall rating score easily bested those of Mercedes , Audi , Infinity , and even Lexus ( although the RX line continues to rate high). I have owned a 22 X5 M50i for several months now...and feel that it more than lives up to it's high ratings. Awesome vehicle....!!

That's correct...Driving Lights ( or Fog Lights) were deleted from the 22 X5...along with Soft Close front doors , and Heated/Cooled Cupholders. May have to do with " hardware part shortages " ( chips? )...so I've heard. Believe it or not , some of the 2022 X5's , built during the latter part of 2021 , even came through without the " Touchscreen" feature enabled. That would kind of suck...imho

@@garyjohnson1392 I'm on a BMW forum. Way more "deletions" now for custom builds. I ended up getting a 40i with pretty much all the options (but not the three you mentioned (lights, soft close, h/c cupholders)). The Executive package is a bit much for me. The Premium package would have been enough.

At the time of recording it was still available but has been made unavailable due to parts shortages.

It’s still available on models that have it standard like all of the M50i models and it’s available as an option on the M40i models.

I am pretty sure it is not available on the 40i anymore. So sad!

There are aftermarket kits to upgrade the sound

Comfort access is standard on all X5s which would let you do that.

Yes, the exhaust should be quieter in comfort mode and louder in sport mode.

Under the settings menu there's an engine noise setting that can be put to sport, which open the throttle.
