This November, we had the pleasure of hosting the 2022 Brooklyn Public Library Book Prize, hosted by Isaac Fitzgerald. The BPL Book Prize recognizes writing that captures Brooklyn’s spirit and reflect the borough, one of the most socially and culturally diverse communities in the country. The prize is selected by both librarians and library staff, drawing on their broad knowledge of literature, contemporary writing, and the many populations they serve. A huge congratulations to Xochitl Gonzalez and John Paul Brammer for winning this year!
All donations from this event going to support Books Unbanned, which you can read more about here: bklynlibrary.org/stayhomeandread
A special thanks to the Brooklyn Public Library, BPL President Linda Johnson, BPL Librarian Jess Harwick, Xochitl Gonzalez, John Paul Brammer, and the Brooklyn Eagles!
