Honestly, people who have the cash to get this should do so right away. There's no chance in hell that this thing will ever depreciate. Being as perfect as it is and the last of it's kind, it has all the makings of a collector car.
Good point about it not depreciating, but I'd like to add something. If you buy one, beat the snot out of it. Otherwise, you should give it to someone who will. It will be worth a LOT of money in the future, but if ever there was a sports sedan that begged to be thrashed....
Imagine going back to 1981 and telling car enthusiasts: in 43 years, Cadillac will produce one of the fastest, best-handling, best-sounding, and most comfortable sports sedans in the world. And they’ll beat the best BMWs and Mercedes around a track. And it’ll have a manual transmission.
So I’ll be adding this CT5-V BW to my list of cars to own before I die, which includes cars like the VW Golf R Wagon, CTS-V Wagon, and C6 ZR1. I’ve got a thing for supercharged V8s and manual transmissions ❤️🔥❤️🔥
It's not discontinued. There will be a few model years of production and hopefully by then battery density will have advanced enough we won't need 1,000+ pounds of weight to create a compelling sports EV. We'll see
@@MS3DALE Why would the person responsible for this beast need to go? How about Ford Motors being the failure they are who doesn’t even currently have a Lincoln sedan to sell you let alone one that sits anywhere near the realm of any V-series model. Chrysler & Stellantis doesn’t have anything on this level to directly compete with this either. A bunch of GM haters! Lol 😂🤣
3.6 secs 0 to 60. I love ❤ that v8 sound. Nearly 700 hp. A Cadillac hellcat with better handling. It makes me think about the Pontiac G8 from back in the day for some reason 🤔.
I saw the CT4-V in person and almost stepped on my tongue. Beautiful vehicles! If I didn’t have so much self control (and a bigger bank account) I would totally get one.
The more I see this car, the more I like it (not sure about the colour of this one, though). If I were a betting man, I'd put money on this being a future classic and highly collectible seeing as it will be the last Cadi with a V8.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing may go down as the best sport sedan ever built. The current BMW M5 CS and E39 M5 could arguably claim to be the best as well. But the CT5-V has superior steering feel and driver feedback than the CS and is available with a manual unlike the CS.
We're literally never, ever, going to have a car like this one again. If you have the money to buy one of those, do it, this is a bona fide collector's car.
If you go all electric, doesn't that eliminate buyers who live in the city where there is only street parking? Think of Boston. Tons of very high-end neighborhoods where the only parking is on the street. How would you charge it?
@@lumenvitae4215 saw two of em ending last season going round Autobahn in IL, one in this blue, and another in a badass burnt orange metallic, which was the one that got me grown quickly on the look. not much into slant backs flooding in nowadays but this one still slightly holds the traditional sedan look from earlier days
@@RedRideRVT1R I was thinking it was mostly the color that was causing me not to enjoy the car in the video. I always love a good cadillac sports sedan in as you said burnt orange or a classic black. Just a serious looking car but plenty fun!
Good to know switching from gas to EV will save our planet from certain extinction in 12 years. It’s so wonderful to see the internal combustion engine reach its pinnacle and be canceled when the demand for it is stronger than ever.
Nice car. Try going to your caddy dealer and tell them you want a blackwing. They will laugh and put your name on a list and tell you we will let you know when your allocation is pulled. Ive been waiting for my rift metallic CT5 since june 2021 and still have no production date yet. I forgot to mention that most dealers want $2500 deposit. What a joke.
This is A Lot Of Manufacturers! Limited Production Performance Cars ! Thank your Professional Politians & Greedy ass Big Corporations putting 💵💵💵💵in Politians hands for avoiding taxes & paying us Americans less💵to have chips & parts & Vehicles being made outside of America! I been in Automotive industry 38 years ! Worked for over 2 dozen brands
If I can't swing the hellcat this is the second car I'd want to be looking at. Looks real flat around the corners....wish the hood had some more aggression to it, or functional vents for heat extraction.
@@CirocObama.94 and now Acura wants to build their upcoming EVs using GM’s Ultium battery 🔋 technology and on their BT1 platform. At least Honda is smart enough to know who will be leading the future of automobiles around the world.🙃
CT5 Blackwing MPG 13 City, 21 hwy; 15 combined with 662 hp. I drive a 2012 F150 3.7 V6 short bed, standard cab with an advertised 305 hp. My mileage is 10 City, 15 hwy; 12 combined! 😱 😨 wtf!
God, just when they design and build an absolute beast of a car, with a stick, (!) to show just how great American engineering is, they pull the rug out. What was the point Cadillac? When the electric revolution sputters, we’ll be waiting for more ICE vehicles.
I find that very hard to believe when The Cadillacs are probably the most distinguishable from any other brand within General Motors super birds first The tail lights and the headlights are literally a dead giveaway plus If I'm not mistaken most of the GM brands don't even build sedans anymore
So this is where the much rumored Alpha Platform 4 Door version of the Camaro (ZL1) ended up as. See GM can make a Alpha Platform V8 powered manual transmission car that you can actually see out of. How about when GM converts the entire Caddy line up to EV that they rebadge this masterpiece as a Chevy and name it the "Chevelle SS" . Please GM please! There are enough of a Baby Boomer market to support it . Look at the Dodge Hellcat Charger FCA has noooo problem selling those things and the CT5-V Blackwing handles way better than the 20 year old Mercedes-Benz S-Class based LX platformed chassis.
RIP GM and Cadillac you had a great thing and you killed it by going all woke and electric. You are clearly out of touch when you look to Elon Musk and even he says that we need oil and gas production even he realizes the flaws of exclusively electric cars
It isn’t being Woke by caring about climate change. Woke relates to race relations, not climate change. This might be their last V8 and I agree, driving a car like this would feel amazing. Nothing like a real engine noise and feeling a transmission. There will be still be plenty of cars that use gasoline but electric is here and in the future.
It sure sounds and performs great, but that price is too high! man! Starting price at $85,000! Then they say with options it can easily get over $100,000!
cheaper than all of its competitors while having more power. It's perfectly priced .. it's got 670hp and super trick suspension what do you expect it to cost
@@andyali13 me either. I like how fast it goes, but it looks like chit. They should have made it look more like a Corvette. Everybody at GM drinks too much. Always hungover at work. "That's good enough, nobody knows the difference." You know thier modo 😂
I really wish there wasn't such a hard push for all cars to be all electric going forward. Why? Produce both and let the market decide. I know, I know... the Damn Democrats.
