EV future ..Are you kidding me ..Government controlled vehicle .....No Thanks to electric crap ...That is not the future ..it is going backwards for the car industry..Nothing more than a Hybrid ..going fully electric sucks ....all the same built quality not that good , weird noises , boring ..boring ...and interiors are just bad looking just like the materials being used..No Thanks to EV's ..
To your point, I think the CT4VBW would be the better car if it had the 6.2L NA V8 with the manual. It wouldn't get you in trouble as fast as the the supercharged engine found in the CT5VBW and you could enjoy it more. Plus you could afford one. Sadly Cadillac is hell bent on charging you $100k of you want a V8. Drove a CT5VBW and completely agree with your assessment of it being a four door C7 which in my opinion is still the best drivers car for a Corvette. This car is incredible to drive.
Dan, Do you believe a person who took driver's ed in a 140 hp Civic or Corolla is genuinely qualified to drive a machine with this much power on public roadways?
First, manual is way overrated. Its also obsolete, so doesn't hesitate to get an automatic if that's what you prefer. Anyway, I love those Recaros. Replete with thigh support.
When it comes to performance cars like this one, manual transmissions are neither overrated nor obsolete. In fact, when it comes to the CT5-V Blackwing in particular, about two thirds of the initial customer orders were for manual-equipped cars. Definitely not obsolete!
I own the 6 speed manual of this and I can tell that you don’t. Because if you did, you’d eat that comment. The manual transmission is so good in this beast. You really do yourself a disservice by getting the automatic. It rewards you every time you get the shifts right, which isn’t hard to do thanks to the level of technology in it. I leaned to drive manual for this car and it was the best decision I ever made.
