I have the exact same bike, colors and all. Thank you so much for doing this! Super helpful especially the chain adjustment! This is my first motorcycle and I wanted one so bad but couldn’t find one. I got mine through sheer luck and perfect timing. I have an after market exhaust on mine, it doesn’t have a name on it so I’m not sure which one but she is loud and she barks! I love mine so so much I am in the market for a new seat though I ride a lot and that’s honestly my only complaint, otherwise this bike has been a dream and I couldn’t imagine starting my motorcycle journey with anything else!

If you have time could/would you consider doing a video showing instrument gauge settings? There are so many options and the owner's manual only explains so much.
I'd love to see a follow up with checking the spark plugs to see if the different cat & muffler have made it too lean or if it's still looking good for the longevity of the motor. Maybe combine with air filter and spark plug change to show how that's done? Thanks in advance and keep up the good informative videos! I've got a 700 Sport with about 3k miles and hoping to have it running well for many more!
Lovely video! Just got the 2023 CLX 700 Sport in the Nebula White. Love the bike. As a side note, i would love to see you gentlemen do an experiment with Unequal length headers to see how that would change the sound of the bike. I have not see that done yet and would be interested in hearing what that would sound like.
Hi guys, great video yet again, I own the Cfmoto clx sport, and really want to upgrade my exhaust. I see you have the aftermarket system on yours, have you replaced the original Cat, with an equivalent sports cat? Has this made any difference on the dash, warning lights etc...? I've seen these available and I'd love to see more of an indepth review if you guys could manage to add that in a video. Keep up the great work.
Will you guys ever do a video about the valve adjustment on these bikes? There is basically no information available to people who aren’t a dealer and it would be cool to have that info out in the world for people that need to do service on their own bike due to not having a local dealer available
Thank you... This was a trial test exhaust and it ended up failing on us.. we are testing new exhaust and I will do a video as soon as we get good test results
I understand if injection related maintenance requires a proper mechanic, but everything else; oil, chain, brake fluid, spark plugs; should be manageable by oneself. I enjoy when brands make them accesible.
I'd like to see a video on doing valve adjustment. I was just looking at the parts diagram for this bike, and it appears that rather than using shims, you have to order completely different tappets of whatever size to adjust the valves. This seems pretty terrible, if they require order of a custom part for adjustment rather than just using standard off-the-shelf shims.
"Park the vehicle by side stand on level ground. Inspect the engine oil level through the oil inspection window: • If the oil level is within area B, it is at the proper level." The owners manual says the oil level should be checked with the bike leaning on the side stand. So who is correct?
The Owners Manual is incorrect. Do not check sight window with bike on kick stand, you will over fill the crank case. I just purchased a 700CXL Sport and asked service department the same question. They confirmed to set oil level with bike straight up, not on kick stand. I've recently owned a Suzuki SV650 and a Kawasaki Z900... same thing, set oil level with bike straight up. When on kick stand, the oil level barely shows in sight window (if at all) and that is how it should be.
Cfmoto published an addendum 20220426v1 for the 700 and a few of their other motorcycles. Got to CFMoto, Customer Care, Owner's Manuals, Owner's Manuals Addendums, 2022 CfMoto Motorcycles. "To correctly check the engine oil level inspection window, all CFMOTO motorcycles must be held in an upright (vertical) position on level ground. Do not park on the side stand to determine the oil level."
I like maintenance videos. I'm interested in this model, although I live in Thailand, and last time I looked, they hadn't imported this model, but they do most of the others. Did the bike have an aftermarket can?
If you're in Mississippi where temperatures rarely get below 35° why do you run 5w40 which is thinner and designed for starting in colder climate conditions, instead of 10w40 or even thicker oils that CFMOTO recommends?
anyone know what the oil filter number is or where to order it...my bike shop says they have a three week wait.. i would like to get it done myself. i checked the manual and it doesnt say. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advanced.
ok stop talking about useless things, we want to know which muffler did you install, where did you get it, how much does it cost? don't make us wait any longer!
