You can't be making car accidents on purpose in races. That's laughable specially at Denova who is supposed to be one of the greatest and fair drivers.

That should be a very good learning experience for you because Chelsea himself said that the crash was his fault. Go watch the post event interview and his most recent review video. Chelsea should be commended for his honesty and we should all follow his lead, in not only learning but also when to give up an argument.

Anything you want us to explain, we will do our best to answer effectively and as clearly as possible. If the questions are good and well-informed, even better, but if you are just trying to learn, no issues there either.

@formuladrift I understand that's what you're going for with your replies, but if you look at this comment section as an example, the vast majority of interactions are not productive, and it's easy for you as the administrator to miss a valid question when buried in long comment threads. If you even just pinned a comment from yourself upon posting a video prompting anyone confused to ask clarifying questions under said pinned comment, then at least a confused viewer would have somewhere to start looking for an answer to their question.

@@Alcofrisbas I try to make them as productive as possible and will never call anyone stupid of dumb or use harsh language even if that is lobbied in this direction. I think personally replying to people's specific questions is better than stock answers and if that takes more time, that's ok with us. And people can always email us if they want to have a direct conversation with our team or even our President who allows us to post his email here on this channel (ryan@formulad.com). We are not hard to reach and that is something that almost no sporting entity does.

Even he admits (is on record) that he justifiably lost against Aasbo at SLC. He say he was the one who essentially caused the hit. And the Irwindale battle with Reeder is actually not very difficult to understand if you see how it was judged. We should all learn from him, especially when he comes out and corrects the record, which he has done multiple times

@@formuladrift i don’t disagree but i do. chelsea had a correction. he didn’t decel he didn’t get off the complete line. the chase drivers job is to do what. chase and mimic what the lead driver does. that’s asbo’s fault but he won’t be at fault bc everyone wants to see him win n do what James Deane did. it’d be different if he cocked hella angle or he slammed on the brakes or did a long ebrake pull but he got off the correct line a tad and the chase drivers job is to do what the lead driver does. it was chaseable. judges just hate on chelsea

@@sr20_kid93 I don't know what battle you are referencing, but in SLC he did not get back on throttle until well after outside zone 2, which is a no no, causing the collision. He admits that and when it comes from the horses mouth of an honest man, you aught to consider that is the highest level validation. If you are unable to agree with the actual person involved when he said he made a mistake that caused the incident, we have a very, very big problem.

We have rotational panel of announcers and judges in 2023. Lots of the same faces, but some new as well.

When did we rob him in Seattle or on the call with Hull in SLC? Hopefully better analysis and fair criticisms can be replaced with better ones in the future, so we can actually work on growing the sport instead of having to correct easy misunderstandings or uncharitable interpretations.

@@formuladrift better analysis ? Cmon. Bro. Keep it real. Then explain fields spinning with no contact and ZERO damage to either cars in said contact spot. It was so obvious it was disgusting. In this video alone Chelsea gets SLAMMED into and kept on drifting. I’m not saying he’s not at fault for his driving. He pushes hard. Sometimes too hard. But the OMTs that had clear winners. Cmon now. You wanna talk about better analysis ? It doesn’t take a scientist to see how sloppy this series is judged. I think if there was more consistency across the board. Regardless of the driver it would be fun to watch fd again. But when all the fans can sit here and see the egregious calls. It’s just like cmon man. This is a spectator sport. I get it’s judged. But there’s a lack of consistency. I love that certain drivers aren’t afraid to talk about their experience at fd. Solidifies the true fans feelings and frustrations. Need anymore analysis ?

@giancarlov3740 the lack of consistency made it really hard to watch the last events of the year, I streamed every round of pro spec and pro myself but was still left confused as to how the judges were coming to their decisions.

@@giancarlov3740 In Orlando, Denofa did hit him. He even admitted it. And even if he did not go on record, you can see Field's car "bumped" on contact and also see the mark on the car after the fact, all of which we knew, so it's cool to critsize, we invite it, but it helps everyone if you don't attack strawmen. But if you actually want to know what was wrong with that battle, it's that Chelsea did not know he was not at fault for the previous collision on Run 1 and he left the line on Run 2 without that knowledge, which is why he drove as aggressively as he did. Had he known that MF was at fault, that would have been an easy win for him. And that is very much something that could be laid at our feet because drivers are supposed to know who is at fault for collisions.

That does not sound like a very unbias or objective comment at all and when you go that direction, it's hard to take seriously, if that is what you are trying to do.
