Today's video was a lot of fun to make. I got to drive a new 2022 Civic SI. Good news is they are turbo charged and come with a 6 speed manual transmission. Big Shout out to Cameron at Orr Automotive in Shreveport, LA for allowing me to check out this beautiful machine. It feels so nice and tight, great cabin noise, decent pickup and it feels so planted. I love the new Honda and its integration of technology and history. It's overall a great car.

I had a modded 2018 civic SI coupe that made 343/338 at the front wheels out of one of those little 1.5T motors. It was a blast to drive and real quick for

@@godzilla_ina_tux yeah. It was real quick and a lot of fun, 343fwhp 338ft lb was at 25 psi on pump 91 octane at ~4,000 ft elevation. The tune that was in it when I got it was progressive boost base on ethanol content. On e85+ it would see 30+ psi and made over 400fwhp according to the shop that built and tuned it. Yeah 35k is real steep. I didn’t really want to pay $23k for the 2018 I had in the middle of 2020.

Dawg this makes me wanna trade in my 22 accord 2.0t for an SI. I really want a manual tranny, but losing power is gonna be hard tbh. Maybe I’ll get the new type r

The SI is probably slightly more fun to drive because the weight difference and manual transmission, power can be gained with a tune 🤷‍♂️ lol but honestly the Type R would be the better route, I think

Lol we were actually wondering if it was fake...we talked about it off camera. Is it through the speakers or is it like the coyote Mustang with a pipe from the intake manifold to the cabin?

@@mathewsenn I work at a Chevy dealership as a tech.... better to stay old school.... the touch screen he was playing with without a factory warranty is around 2500 bucks plus install reprogram and 3-6 weeks waiting for available parts....

@@Dev-op7kn right up till you have an EM pulse or the one in a billion chance lightning hits it.... GM hei will still be on the road or a 12 valve Cummins... power ground and fuel.... everything else.... I'll take an atlas over GPS any day
