I can’t wait to get my Toyota Corolla cross! I’m counting the days! 14 days. Right now I don’t have a car because it was acting up so I have to sell it and I’m happy I got this Toyota.
US infrastructure is going down fast now, city road is close to offroad condition every where with pothole and patched, so high clearance is a must nowaday.
@Dennis D - Theme Parks and Cars Discontinued? So were the Venza, Supra etc. The competition sells plenty of CUVs that are smaller than this new Cross but none of them get 60mpg. Toyota has every rea$on to bring their be$t in cla$$ model to thi$ market A$AP.
Hoping to buy one of these within the next two years (after COVID settles and the prices drop below MSRP), with the goal being to save on gas, and not putting as many miles on my ❤️V8 Voodoo Blue Tundra ❤️ , which I hope to keep. until the wheels fall off!
Toyota should have revived the Tercel 4WD badge instead of calling it “Corolla Crossover”. For those who aren’t familiar: the Tercel 4WD was a quirky Corolla station wagon with four wheel drive. My dad owned one of those in the 80s.
Great! You have me hooked. I definitely want to roadtest one of these along with a Subaru Crosstrek. When does it become available? I've gone to two different local Toyota dealerships and they've been 100% clueless.
If you get a Crosstrek, go for the new Sport trim or the Limited, which both have the new 182 hp engine. The base and Premium trims still have the lower powered engines in them.
@@242HP Agreed. That's what I was thinking but it doesn't look like it's a great value with kind of a big jump in price for essentially just the engine upgrade. I definitely would like to compare it with the Corolla Cross.
@@toyotausa i absolutely love it so far. it is absolutely perfect for what i need right now. i traded in my 2017 toyota tacoma for it with 32000 miles on it. i loved my truck but with gas prices being the way they are and the fact that i’m not towing anything right now it just wasn’t logical. when i tried this one out i fell in love with it. i couldn’t be happier. just still trying to figure out the controls of it lol. toyota did an excellent job with this car. anyone who gets one i think is going to be really happy with it☺️
Well it doesn't take a lot to be better than the C-HR, which is Toyota's smallest SUV with measly 144 HP. But it is not better than the Venza, which is a hybrid with 219 HP.

Give the hybrid model the 181hp engine in the Lexus ux-250, then build this in an SE/XSE trim level and I'd give this a serious look when my lease is up in '22.
Love this style. I guess my hopes for the Corolla matrix to make a comeback are dashed. I hope the hybrid version will have more power to it. Can we say weekend road trips to the mountains ?
I was hoping there'd be an option for a more powerful engine touching 200+ horsepower. 1,500 lbs towing with just 169 horsepower filled with passengers and luggage for a camping trip among friends?? I'm scared. 😅 Also, when is the hybrid model coming?
I'm hearing a lot of things that are optional on this vehicle at an extra cost, or only on the top of the line XLE trim. You can't get a rear armrest unless you buy the XLE? Really Toyota? How much could it cost you to make a rear armrest standard equipment? I have that on my 2010 Mazda 3. Fog lights should be an option on all trim levels, not just available on the XLE. From what I've seen so far from auto reviewers, they all seem to agree that the Corolla Cross is under powered. It doesn't have much get up and go even with one person in it, let alone 4 people and cargo. There's no way 169 HP is strong enough to carry 4 passengers, interior cargo AND tow 1500 pounds behind it.

I have own a third gen 4Runner and currently in the market for a new crossover and I can't decide if want the Corolla Cross or the Rav4 Hybrid or the gas version. Almost all my family member are Toyota owner. #Toyota4Life.
From what i have heard the gas Rav4 seems a tad underpowered but myself i have the Hybrid and it suits my needs. They are very hard to find now mind you

Was this car truly needed?? Dont get me wrong, I LOVE a new toyota model. But its like we already have the venza and rav 4, does this slot between them than? Just doesnt feel needed. It is very nice though.
