@kelsey, don’t even get me started on that. Last year one of the players from an opposing team was practicing kicking the ball in the goal and hit one of the DCC in the head and it gave her a concussion
Who is here because of the Netflix show? I just finished watching that and just how hard these women work to first make the team then to even learn all the choreography is insane.
Moi!
Pay these hardworking women!!! Can’t believe how little money they make:( (I’m here after watching the Netflix show and have a newfound respect for these amazing women).
That’s because women are brainwashed to think they should do something just for the love of it. Only women do this. Men would always insist on being paid. Even the mascot makes more than the cheerleaders do.
@@MM-ow9xmwhat else are they supposed to say? It sucks all your hard work, medical care and attention goes to little to no pay regardless of how famous the DCC is. They should be getting a lot more than they are, nobody can sit here and say making maybe $13 an hour to do THIS is ok.
@@Lexusmarie95 but that’s how it is when you’re a performer/dancer. What jobs pay the majority of dancers really well? That’s a notoriously low paying position
@@MM-ow9xm but that doesn’t mean we can’t be upset at the low pay. Regardless of what or who they dance for, dancers put a lot on their body and basically ruin parts of their body at such young ages. I hope with the backlash they’ll start to pay all cheerleaders more. You hear more about them and what they do rather than the players but the players get paid more. Players can get side deal with their likeness as a player meanwhile the DCCs aren’t allowed to monetize off their likening as a cheerleader.
So insulting to not show the at home audience their halftime performance..the whole game is football...these ladies deserve 4 minuts.they r part of the organization too
@@kevincockburn7805 for good, or just for now because if that’s true, then why still have the cheerleaders at all? These young ladies are SO NOT being exploited. They sign up voluntarily, go through the training process, and then are treated to first class everything once in the squad. I can guarantee anyone in here that money isn’t even on the list of why they try out. It’s the prestige of being the best of the best, the elite. I think cancelling is a huge mistake.
It still infuriates me that this amazingly athletic dance is performed to a near-empty stadium. These talented ladies deserve to display this number closer to kickoff when the building is full. (It’s my same rant every time I watch this)
Watching the Netflix documentary of these wonderful girls now. This whole presentation & song definitely takes on a completely amazing meaning now. Just wow. ❤❤
I just watched American Sweethearts and it was actually such an amazing show. These ladies really are sweethearts and they deserve a RAISE!! Victoria and Reece stole my heart for being absolutely Wonderful inside and out
@@humbledaughter777 When one chooses to participate in competition, there’s more judging and rejection. You know that going in which makes people not want to do it. Just because she cried more than the others, doesn’t mean she deserves the spot.
@@humbledaughter777 let’s not forget her ultimatum for Kelli and Judy at the end was the worst. It really confirmed how dislikable she was. If you’re meant to be a leader, the people will recognize it and put you there. I’m sure they were glad to see her retire. Such high maintenance.
@@terra2730 She'd been there for 4 or 5 years at that point which seems to be the average for a really good DCC, so I wasn't too surprised, but I do really miss her - she was such a sparky and charismatic dancer!!
I would challenge everyone who thinks all they’re doing is strutting around to try doing even the first 2 minutes of that routine without falling apart. Incredible routine. Hell, just try doing that kick line.
The amount of hard work and talent it takes to do this is crazy! They all did so good! It sucks that they kept cutting the cameras on them for the football players. They put in so much time and work for this moment and it got cut off by football players.
Am I the only one that finds it so disrespectful that there are men out there passing footballs and getting in their way? Why can’t they take a 5 minute break and let them do their thing.
I'm not even a football fan anymore, but I'm addicted to the DCC. I still watch the reruns of " Making The Team". What Kelli and Judy do for these incredibly talented young women is amazing. I don't think these girls get enough credit for what they do. Most people don't realize how fit and talented they truly are. Not to mention how intelligent these girls are too. I wish them all the best. Keep up the great work Kelli and Judy.
Out of this world!!!! They are seriously so talented and have extreme stamina to perform such a routine with so much passion and fire ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Phenomenal queens 💃🏻💃🏼💃🏽👑👑👑👑
I am in Dallas next year and I hope I ll get a ticket - if they play that weekend..but not to see the game.. I want to see this masterpiece live. Its just WOW!!! Well done, Girls!!!
Im from England and at first I just saw the costumes and thought how gross and tacky this was. But then after watching the documentary, the girls are so sweet and kind to each other and the amount of effort, determination and athleticism that goes into performing these dances is just incredible. I have SO MUCH respect for them
Jada, wow, she really stand out, in the center of kickline with Victoria and Kali (the rookie) they are the tallest. welcome back to the veterans, and good luck to the rookies
There's something deeply American and very melancholic about watching this performance in front of a almost empty mega stadium. It creates a feeling like the party has been over for years and the few people who find their way out into the stadium in the dead subburb watch a sad shadow of a past that is gone. It has that very specific coldness you don't find in other mega cities around the world. The Soviet city coldness is different. The American city coldness has a certain feel to it. Like it's build on a fanatic dream that got mixed with reality and now just seem very very strange.
Not sure why you classify this as "American", it is really just a 2022 thing. I went to the games back in the early 2000s and the stadiums were packed. It is more of an issue with the NFL going super woke, which is alienating the majority of the fans, especially in Texas.
@@canebro1 You mean woke as in; Making sure all your fans don't get a quickly spreading disease by limiting the amount of guests allowed in the stadium. And said guests being smart enough to stay home and watch it on TV instead of risking theirs and their kids lives for some football game. Early 2000's we didn't have a super contagious disease going about, ya know?
@@AdventureHusky No, I mean woke as in kneeling during the national anthem, supporting the blm riots, and surrendering to gay politics. As for diseases, we've always had diseases going around. It should be up to people to decide their own risks. It was 2022 then and the majority of people were done with the unnameable virus of unknown origin.
@@canebro1 right… nobody can afford or cares about it like that no more that’s it. Y’all still shop in Walmart and go on Amazon so y’all aren’t against “wokeness” y’all just aren’t doing it. Stop acting like a changing society is harming you
They are awesome but I don't understand why this is such an iconic routine. I thought it was boring. Those women are incredible dancers and this sure didn't show that.
It is amazing how in the camp it looks so I guess it would be called "rough" looking but when they get on that field to represent they bring it and they bring it HARD!! GREAT job ladies!!! Y'all definitely deserve more recognition that's for sure!! Edit: I would be dead after the whole Thunder Struck dance then doing the kick line...I would have to crawl off that field LOL THESE ladies are some very dedicated athletes in their own rights.....GREAT JOB!!!
Awesome as always, but miss the 🔥🔥 of Gina and Rachel. Kat and Chandi would be my point pick this year. But what incredibly talented young ladies the team are!! 🌠
Point next year will most likely be Claire W. It's clear they are grooming her for point. She got second group leader this season so it's most definitely in the cards
Hey, I live in Euroupe and here we are not so keen on " so called American Football, its named football, not a game played with the hands" But I have to hand it to you, this cheerleading show would make me look on a American Football game first and formost. What a performance and show, increadable , this so good, i am super impressed !!!! This is World Class !!!
After watching the Netflix series, it is absolutely infuriating that a sports franchise that is worth 9.5 billion dollars only pays these ladies between $15-$20 PER GAME! It is infuriating. It is exploitative. These ladies are beyond talented and deserve so much more than what they get. Shame on you Dallas Cowboys 😡
I’m so sad it seems like every year they under value kat. She is always in my opinion poorly placed in the triangle. No way (again in my opinion) should she be where she’s at. She is second group leader yet she’s behind Kaydianna who don’t got me is an excellent dancer. But kat should be closer to point as second group leader.
Kat is actually behind McKenzie in the triangle, and she's in the fifth row with Armani, Darian, Jada and Tyra. If you look back at when Nicole Bulcher was on the squad, she was still near the back of the triangle when named a second leader then first leader.
I thought Gina was a snob her first season. Her personality really seemed off to me, but I gotta admit I was wrong. She was like the Kobe of that team. Super focused on the task at hand and the seasons after she made the team her leadership shined through in the best way and she warmed up.
I thought it just me. But I saw some low kicks. This rookie class doesn't look all that great to me. I don't really see any standouts. I don't really see anyone from this rookie class who could be point.
Write in the comments: How much do you think each cheerleader should get paid for being on this team? Break it down per year, 1 (rookie) to 5 (veteran).
Kelcey is for sure the best dancer out of her rookie class but I think to skip over Ashley as point on her 5th year is crazy. It should've been Caroline and Ashley for sure.
@@EmVee. Please show me where I wrote anything about seniority. I simply said it was foolish to skip over her. Ashley is a powerhouse as well and being that it’s her last year and it’s long overdue she should’ve been point.
@@nylotus "I think to skip ovrr Ashley as point ON HER 5TH YEAR is crazy". There, this is where you are talking about seniority. Kelcey is a better dancer and more important, a more reliable dancer.
Regardless of seniority, Ashley should of at least been the second point. I was expecting it! She is a fan favorite so I’m a little confused (even though I’m not shocked)
I´m swedish so forgive if I sound ignorant here, but I have to ask something. Are cheerleaders simply a kind of dancer or are they something different as well? I did love this performance though, so they´re obviously brilliant at what they do.
Wow, these ladies are absolutely wonderful athletes. As other commenters mentioned, I would appreciate not showing football meanwhile they are performing, they also bring lot to the table and should be respected.
Kelcey got point instead of Ashlee. Happy for Caroline though. I wouldn't have given Kelcey point though. If they weren't gonna give Ashlee, my next option would've been Kat. Nice to see Victoria back. I also see they modified the routine a little bit. I don't like some of the placements this year. I'm trying to figure out why is Jada so far in the back. A 3rd year veteran and she is practically in the back with the rookies. Glad to see Dani moved up and Elli. Dani is underrated. Ppl be sleeping on her.
@@gr82bdanyelle Didn't even notice Kat in the back as well. Tyra has moved up significantly. She is in the outer triangle so is McKenzie and Darian. I didn't know this was Kat's last year. I thought she would be taking a 5th year. What a shame but it's her choice. I am already getting a vibe of who will be retiring this year.
@@ellingtonfeint13 I know they do the kick line with the two tallest in the middle and the two shortest on the ends. I think Jada and Kelcey are the two tallest and Darian and someone else is on the ends.
I don’t know anything about this show or this team or cheerleading or America, but wouldn’t the Dallas cowboy cheerleaders be the sweethearts of Dallas?
@@evang18 We were really blessed with Maddie and especially Rachel when it came to amazing use of hair in the last few years. Right now only Danis hair could compare to Rachel I would say.
