I have watched literally hundreds of organizing videos. This is the FIRST to actually show someone *WASHING* the containers and bits before using them. Others show removing labels and tags by cutting or scraping them off; this is the first I've seen to drop then into a sink of soapy water. I hope the rest of your videos show such care, as I'm subscribing now, 2.31 minutes into the first one I've found!!
From past water issues under my sink I strongly suggest you get a large under the sink mat that has edges to catch water. My latest issue was our garbage disposal was leaking and I’m so glad I have a mat under the sink.
Don't feel like you have to fill every single spot. I heard you mention a few times, empty spaces in some of your drawees/ cabinets. You said you'll fill them later, or find something to fill them with.
Love this, but I’m shocked your chef husband lets you store knives like that. You really need proper knife storage to keep them from banging around in a drawer.
Love your kitchen but please move the knives so they aren’t in reach for your son to get them! My granddaughter is two and a half and she can open drawers! They moved the knives out of her reach! Thanks for sharing your kitchen organized kitchen!! 😍
The liners are great for keeping scratches off the drawers but if that doesn’t bother you, I say skip them. They are kind of a pain. For resale, No one is going to not buy your house because there are some scratches inside the drawers. No one really cares.
Omg, I’m impressed with the amount of stuff you are always buying.. since I watch you channel, 3 houses back.. you are always buying and buying new stuff.. and the amount of money lost by doing this.. I guess easy money easy goes away.. and I say easy because youtube IS an easier way to make a lot of money, compared to an avarage job with and avarage salary, with, of course, more hours of work and actually getting out of the house.. I mean, why so many sponges, for example? You live in target and online shopping, you could have 3 and when you are left with one, buy more 🤔.. materialism and wanting more and more and more is not healthy for the world and for society. You could be more conscious about what you buy
What's happened to the older tea towels, & dish towels? They can't all have perished. In the under kitchen organiser none of the cleaner spray bottles could be slid out as they hit the top of the bench
Liners for all the cabinets!! Grippy ones to keep those containers from sliding in the drawers + they can help prevent dents and water and moisture damage on the wood. Love your videos!! 💕
You have a gorgeous kitchen you did a beautiful jobeautiful job just one thing that I would do I would put all my spices and oils where you have your medicine cabinet I think Would work better
your kitchen is bigger than mine whole lots !!! i don't even have junk door. I do organize what is make sense to me such as the coffee machine sit next to the refreigerator and the coffee cup up top for the easy access.
Love this video. I’m concerned about the knives above the toddler drawer. At some point some child could oven the wrong drawer. I’d suggest a childproof lock on that knife drawer. Otherwise everything is great. New…subscribed. 😉
I'm so jealous of your beautiful kitchen! I would love to be able to store pots and pans so that they don't have to be all dumped just to get the one on the bottom!
I have my granddaughters dishes and bottles in a drawer. When she's getting into my stuff, I direct her to her drawer. She's happy to rearrange it daily.
Hi Alexandra! Love your channel. I just wanted to say it’s not a good idea to place your medicine near heat. Better away from oven area. I look forward to your videos ❤
Would love this much cabinet space 😍 Suggestion: You may want to consider storing medications in a area where heat can rise and and alter efficacy of the medications. It being near the heat of the stove is a concern.
My whole apartment/flat doesn't have that many drawers in 3 bed 2 bath..i think all 4 neighbors on my floor combined don't either. She is truly blessed.
Hello I’m a uk new subscriber. Chose this as I’m wanting to organise my kitchen. Which is about a 1/4 the size of yours When you did the under sink sorting you put cleaning cloths under sponges. It would look better and work better if yih swapped them around. Just a thought.
So aesthetically pleasing ❤ no drawer liners in this house? I remember that was the first thing you did in your previous home. Regardless, so much organizing inspo. I love love the toddler lazy Susan from the birds eye view. It makes so much sense. It’s what I need in my home
Leaving your coffee pods in those boxes are inconvenient after you use the first two pods. Use the same trays that you use for your cutlery and put the pods in rows for easy viewing and access.
It’s called preparation I have enough toilet paper , paper towels, sanitary napkins, laundry detergent, body wash etc to last up to a year so I don’t ever run out and I don’t have to buy it every time I’m shopping I only have to buy food
1. Beautiful kitchen. I love the space. 2. Never use plastic cutting boards; wood, bamboo, or glass. 3. Use a step ladder for safety. 4. Liners in the cabinets and drawers will protect them. They are also decorative and come in a variety of colors and/ or patterns. 5.
I’m not sure if another viewer mentioned but museum putty or gel is amazing for keeping stuff in place. Instead of drawer liners. Loved the way you used the lazy susans 😊
Your drawers are enormous compared to mine! I just had my kitchen refaced and the drawers are a little narrower than the old ones so I couldn't put everything in them. The necessary things are in but the extra things are in bins in a cabinet.
You should try and see what life is like having a kitchen like the one in my apartment. It's so small that I have no drawers, no pantry and just 5 cabinets. 3 of them go all the way up to the ceiling so the only way to reach them is stepping on a chair. Basically I have to really think if I can really find space for an extra mug, and if I do, one of the extra cereal boxes might have to go.
This makes me want to clean and organize! Thank you for the motivation! One thing I would suggest is to use liners for the drawers by the stove - it will keep items in place! :D
Watching for the first time love it. I just wondered if you ever moved the medicine from next to stove? I felt that was the oddest area to place it. Would make more sense to have spices etc near stove then medicine.
Hi I just came across your channel for the first time and I'm loving your organisation method...so I'm following you...keep the good vibes coming...all the way from Jordan 🇯🇴 ✨️ 😊 💖 ☺️
You don't need legs or anything to keep these things from sliding around. Head over to your Dollar Tree, and get double sided dots. I just did that with my kitchen drawers and there work very well.
All you need to do to the rack is cut down the length of the 4 socks between the top and bottom as you have dish cloths I you can lower it and drop the shelf getting your spray bottle in properly x
Rumor has it - Knives should never be stored laying down, dulls the blades faster. Surprised you didn't get the slots for knoves to rest inside a drawer. Is there a reason why you lyed them down we non-chef folk doesn't know about? If you don't mind saying how much total did you pay for all the organizers? They look high quality so thinking expensive???
I love your huge kitchen, but you guys accumulate stuff like it’s the end of the world. LOL😂. I wish I had big drawers like those in the kitchen. Thanks for all the tips.
Hello from Sweden! This is the first video I watched by you, I will absolutely follow you and watch more! ❤️ But I just have to ask, you said "centimeters", are you not from the US originally? Have a great day! /Jenny
Not trying to be drama, but we have the same appliance package you do (the dishwasher is very slightly different), and we had the actual same fridge you do. HAD. Literally the same week it turned 4, the fridge completely failed over about 18 hours. So fast. The week before Thanksgiving too! Appliance repair came out. Compressor. $700-1000 to fix it. Because it wasn't GE Profile, it wasn't covered in the manufacturer's warranty. 5 years for Profile; 1 year for just GE. Repair guy (who was at least as old as my dad and said he'd been doing repairs since the late 80s) told me GE fridges and dishwashers from about the last 8 years are no good. The stovetops, ovens, and microwaves are OK, but the fridges and dw make up a lopsided amount of his calls. He suggested Whirlpool. Said he gets very few Whirlpool calls at all, and almost no Whirlpool fridge calls. So tthat's what we replaced the failed GE with. Yours could be great and mine could have been one of those bummer things that happens. I just literally gasped when I realized we have/had the same appliances. It was awful and frustrating and so disappointing when that pretty young, relatively expensive fridge went bad on us. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that totally unaware that the line might be having quality issues. Aaaaand thank you for coming to my Ted Talk about GE fridges. Sheesh I wrote a lot. 😄
Love the way you have organized your kitchen. You always have some great ideas and they rub off on me especially the spinning container for meds. Truly love the style you are using in this house. Everything is beautiful colors, easy on the eyes and seems so affordable. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Alex,Love your Decorating videos. You said you don't like keeping your medicines in the bathroom because of temperature fluctuations...but you have them right next to the stove, open flame stove?
Loved your video. I have solid white tea towels in my kitchen. Love your pink. I keep a container of water with 1 scoop of oxi clean in my laundry room. I throw my stained white tea towels in during the week, wash them once a week. Like magic all the stains are gone. I don’t know if it would fade you pink. You may want to do a test on one.
