That antenna saved me so many time in a low underground garage because if that antenna is just touching the garage ceiling or metal bars up above means your truck will pass through without any problem, if more than the touch, then it will damage your cabin top. I rather keep OEM antenna.
Great video! Just purchased a 22 F150 XLT, 2.7 4X4 w/302A pkg. Replaced my 17 year old F150. My first Mod was that flex antenna and then front Weathertech mats. I use amazon unlimited music via my phone or SiriusXM, so I'm not concerned with radio reception. Those RC seat covers are next, then going with ceramic tint on the glass and then rhino lining for the bed.
Did the antenna and regretted it, went back to original. As soon as I left town it lost most channels. Husky floor liners are pretty awesome for sure, love mine! The clips were a little off but they did fit; make sure it's warm out when putting them in.
Lol. Never saw your video and those were the first few mods I did as well. Same antenna, and consol organizer. Did weather tech floor mats. Will look into some front seat covers.
I also have a 2022 F150. Antennas going to work great in a wide open parking lot however...the Antennas length effects the frequencies and ability to pull in weak stations clearly. Once you leave the lot you will have loss of stations and strength. The dividers fit like a glove IF you order the right one and follow directions. Weathertech is THE way to go. You get what you pay for. If you just spent $65000 to $75000 for a truck and you have to go cheap on mats...you miscalculated something. Seat covers over beautiful leather seats....no.
I don’t get the seat covers , sure it “protects” the original seat but u never see the original seat so what’s the point unless ur trying to keep the truck fresh for the next guy when u sell
I gotta get a small antena. I have heated/ventelated seats and no kids so no worries on my seat cover. I may end up changing out mats from the weather tec ones mine came with but mine have good coverage. So far I love the truck.
My personal opinion the bullet antennas are way more visually appealing but to each is own and if your wondering what’s a good brand i link under the comment my personal favorite that I’ve ran on all my Ford trucks and they work amazingly
Great video. 100% agree with the mods. 1 comment and 1 question. If you live in an area where corrosion can happen. MN NE States etc; put never-seez or some other anti corrosion film on that antenna stud. Ask me how I know. Question. The seat airbag’s still works.? Also will the headrest speakers still perform as intended? Thankx. ❤
I see you have the same front cowl problem ( lifting up) by your antenna and fender that I have had problems with. I have had mine replace 3 times by the dealer. Ford Manufacturing defect.
Wondering about seat covers with air bags in seats. My Santa Fe has air bags in seat so seat covers not recommended. Thinking about getting F 150. Great info.
I have a similar antena on my 19 platinum and it works great. No "frequency" issues to speak of. I do enjoy the leather heated and cooled seats so no covers but I do keep it cleaned and conditioned. Definitely kid proofing the new truck! I understand
We have leather seats in our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and between the dog and the kids there in pretty bad shape. Really kicked myself for not putting seat covers on earlier than we did.
If you do nothing but cruise around town and commute to work then go ahead and get a lightning. If you want something that is actually practical then get a normal F150. Imagine taking a road trip with kids and being like 'ok lets stop for hours to charge!' 🤣. Or you could stop for 2 minutes and get gas. Do you also realize that the Ford Lightning is geared towards the top 5% of income earners and not average people? If you are not well into the 6 digits for income and you buy a Lightning you are short more than a few IQ points
An electric vehicle wouldn't work for me. I need more range than it can provide, and cold weather lowers range as well. If I tried towing 8k pounds in winter, I'd have a range of about 100 miles. That just won't work.
I have 2022 F150 Powerboost with only 3900 miles, within one month engine overheated, onboard power not available, jerky or shudder transmission, sitting at dealer for one month, no available parts and Ford customer service is no help, don't buy this!
