i dont see what you mean, thats how it is in netball. defenders can do whatever as long as they; a) dont make rough or pushy contact with the shooter, and b) dont have their arms over the ball within 3 feet (slightly less than a meter). this means that defenders have to use footwork and their body to constantly manoeuvre around the shooter to prevent them from getting the ball. basketball is about defending the player once they get the ball, netball is about defending the player so they dont get the ball
@@bobatea5695 i’m saying they should allow defenders as close they can be without restrictions as long as they don’t touch the shooter. They are basically shooting open shots all the time. If all they care is to get the ball, don’t even bother defending cause doing so is pointless
Its weird, not only do the offense have limited move sets or restrictions (as oppose to baskeball) it seems the defense does too. Seeing the lack of contested shot and thr shooter taking theirr time is weird
@@wavemanj14 in basketball there is a bigger difference between the size of the ball and the size of the goal. And yes, there are offensive rebounds but there's no backboard so if you miss the ball is probably going behind. This is why there is so much effort to get into a good shooting position.
@@chesterdonnelly1212 if you are playing this sport somewhat professionally you should never be air balling tho, put me into this game and I am averaging 30 points from jumpshots only
