2022 Ford F-150 Tremor Review: It Looks Extra, It Costs Extra

Everyone wants a truck these days, or so it seems, which is why the 2022 Ford F-150 Tremor exists. It’s not as if the trail-inspired Tremor can’t do traditional truck stuff, but it’s squarely aimed at shoppers who aren't the traditional truck buyer - think tradespeople and farmers.
There's no denying the appeal of parking a pickup truck in your driveway, let alone Ford’s ever-popular F-150. But among the realities of doing so is a hefty fuel bill, and one that’s only made more expensive by the stuff that comes with this trim.
AutoTrader.ca Road Test Editor Dan Ilika reviews Ford's best-selling full-size pickup, here in off-road-lite guise. It has plenty of features and capability for road and trail alike - and looks smart doing it - but the cost of entry can be quite prohibitive.

I had a 2 1 lariat . Traded for a 22 tremor. It’s much better than a lariat. It’s a 402 but it’s more like a platinum

I think the Tremor hits that spot for folks that need to tow, and off road. I love you can get a Torsen front end and trail turn assist. It is narrower than the Raptor so you can access more areas without getting scratched up. I would put a level kit on the Tremor and call it good to go. Now, if you are desert running and jumping, the Raptor is the way to go.

You absolutely hit the nail on the head. Towing is great for a boat or trailer, you can take it to the mountains and have no issues in deep snow or trails, and it's comfortable as a road trip vehicle. I have a 2023 Tremor and a Jeep Rubicon. I will be selling the jeep and buying a boat since I can do moderate trails in the tremor but can't pull a larger boat with the Jeep. It fits my needs for sure.

Have to disagree, the Tremor is far from a regular F150. Torsen in the front alone sets it miles apart never mind the 4wd auto, 1" wider, slight lift, 33" tires, dual exhaust tucked up high, and the list goes on. The styling is unique enough to set it apart making it special. It is known as a "Tremor", people don't even call it an F150 even though it is.

Ford has already stated that they are no longer producing the 400 a trim package for the Tremor. So they actually come with embroidered seats

Also there is no dealership in North America selling a Raptor for $5000 more than a Tremor. More like $15-20,000

As a 2022 Tremor owner, I think this review is fair! My quick version review as follows; very comfortable & luxurious, definitely overpriced, draws attention wherever it goes, great power, bad fuel mileage, fun to drive, likely not reliable long-term, I Love it.

Why would you say it’s not reliable long term

@@ralphpaglucca1399 I said likely not reliable, doubt any vehicle built during covid would be reliable with supply chain issues, massive demand, and rushing production.

Good review; However, Tremor is a model not a package. There are 3 Tremor packages within the Tremor model.
@danilika9420
@danilika9420 Год назад
There are, indeed, three Tremor packages available, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a Ford F-150 trim. You wouldn’t call the XLT a stand-alone model, and that’s available in the same three grades.

I can guarantee that the trail you took this Tremor on was more off reading than 99% of F150 owners will do in a lifetime. Ultimate poser mobile. People will buy this strictly for the looks from the lift kit and tires. A vehicle for those that struggle to think

I drive off road quite a lot for fishing and hunting. Definitely prefer this over the fx4 package on my last one. I think it’s weird that people are so quick to assume these never see dirt. Here in NB they’re out on trails constantly.

Just because you see a clean off road truck on the highway doesn't mean it's not used for its intended purposes. I keep mine clean because I care about my things. You'd never know I had been out at the river, in the woods, crawling up steep creek beds, going through deep mud, etc. The only way you know somebody doesn't use their truck is if it has the spaced out wheels, thin tires, and wheel well lights. They're the posers.

I bought one for Idaho. Went hunting fishing and I’ve done more off roading in this truck than I’ve done in any other truck. Big advantage over Raptor I can pull my 9,000 lb camper. It’s excellent in the snow mud. I’m guessing you’re wrong because most dealers have more raptors than tremors. They’re not easy to get so I’m guessing the buyers are going off road more than you suspect

@@foxxygearreviews7754 I agree 1000%. I don’t see many on the road but I’ve seen three on the trails
