Thank you kind sir. I purchased a 501a 2021 lariat powerboost new in November 2021. I’m wanting to learn the adaptive cruise features. It’s looking that Ive come to the right place. Thanks…
This is only thing I really wish my truck had and it doesn’t. I’ve only got the lane keeping and it is nice I just wish I had more features. I’ve thought about adding it aftermarket with the parts and quite a bit of forscan work but I’m on the fence about it. Another great video Kevin, thanks again! 👍🏻
Thanks Jonas! It’s not the end of the world not to have it. I’d still love the truck without it, I just just love technology and this tech involves safety and I think it’s well worth it.
Your little Kevin clips were fun. Pick a new car that you’re excited about and continue in that direction. Anyway thanks I appreciated your lane centering videos.
Good morning..... KEVIN! Thanks for this video, as I've dabbled with my Copilot/Adaptive Cruise, but really didn't fully grasp what all of the bells and whistles were until now. I don't think you've yet cracked the code on the climate control system on our (seemingly designed by NASA) fancy trucks. If you get around to explaining this, I, for one, will be most appreciative. I've not spent much time looking into it, but if there's a way to simply engage the "vent" option, I certainly haven't found it. It seems it's either A/C or nothing....and that can't be right, right? As always, I enjoyed your very boring video today, thanks.
Thanks Tris! Always good to hear from you. I’m glad I could be of some assistance. Thanks for the suggestion for a video topic. I’ll try and do one on that topic if I can figure enough out about it to do one. Be well!
It’s a bit annoying and I’d love to have the blue cruise but it’s still worth it. If you keep your hand on the wheel and apply a slight amount of pressure the warning never triggers. Sometimes I forgot to grip the wheel tight enough or allow the weight of my hand to be heavy enough.
I ordered an XLT 302a with 360 copilot assist 2.0 like 6 months ago (still waiting). Due to chip shortage Ford decided to leave that option off my build. Would you still take delivery without it?
That’s a tough question to answer. If I was waiting 6 months it’d be hard not to take delivery because I’d really want the truck at that point. It’s such a great feature. I’m sorry to hear that’s what you’ll have to deal with. At this point I’d probably not take delivery because it’s a feature I personally use all the time. If you’ve never had it before you won’t be missing it, though.
Are you sure you are getting the assist? I've been researching this myself and it looks like the xlt, even with 302a only gets the Copilot 2.0 which has less features than the Copilot assist 2.0.
@@Network-Mike I definitely have the assist, because I have the lane centering with the adaptive cruise. I believe in order to get the assist you have to also equip it with the 360 camera. There are several ways to option the 360 camera, I think the way I did was through optioning the tow technology package.
Mine has the "Copilot Active" option which does include the park assist in addition to Blue Cruise. Ford is currently still requiring the park assist "Delete" option when you order the Copilot Active option. I haven't tried the park assist and am not delighted with Blue Cruise but I added it thinking it might improve resale value in the future. I tried the speed sense initially, but disabled it after it dropped my speed limit to 25 mph in a 65mph zone (no signs were present). The speed sensing system is supplemented by a database and the place where it dropped my speed was in an area where the road had recently been reconstructed to bypass a residential area and the database still reflected the road as residential. I also had it interpret a county road sign as a speed sign and accelerate me above the posted speed. I verified both issues were repeatable before disabling the system.
Hey Ross. Yes, I’ve heard of others who have had this issue with the speed sign recognition. Thankfully I haven’t experienced these issues yet. Sometimes the flow of traffic around me goes a bit above the speed limit (more than 5 miles) during rush hour, so it can be a bit of a pain there. I appreciate your detailed comment. Thanks!
