I like the bed toppers/camper shell . but at 3,449.00.. too expensive.. I would like to see other companies make some for my Maverick.. thanks for the great video today!

Oh, man. I'm in AZ, too. I really like this truck, but short on money while wondering if I really need one truck. I'm OK with a corolla right now. However, I have been watching maverick videos non-stop. Ah

Don't get a roll up bed cover. Get the hard tri-fold that Ford offers. It's hard, so it can't be cut through by thieves and it's more durable than vinyl. And most importantly, it folds all the way up against the rear window which allows full use of the already small bed. The roll up ones take up ≈6 inches of bed space which will prevent you from being able to carry a lot more stuff than you might think it will.

I would like to see a Roof Rack, Fore to Aft, similar to the one on the Branco Sport. I would also like to see Fore to Aft Bed Rail Racks, especially ones that might work with the hard roll-up or the soft tonneau covers.

Just ordered a carbonized grey XLT with Lux,FX4 and tow packages to replace my daily. Plan on leveling the front 1 inch and fit 245-65-17 AT3s. Ill add a 50% tint and get it tuned. I think its going to be the perfect little work truck and I still have my 3/4 ton Suburban to tow heavy stuff and drive the kids around.

They also make a hard Tri fold tonneau cover. That's what I ordered our XLT with.

Something that new Maverick owners might want to consider if they are goinig to carrying a longer kayak/paddleboard. Bought a F150 reg cab/short bed last year. Finally figured out a rack system to carry my 12' 6" paddle board. Single bar on the cab with a hitch mounted cross bar. Just thought I would toss out the info. If I hadn't bought my truck last year I would be in line for this vehicle. Maybe in a couple years after the dust settles.

I'm digging the spoilers for real. Pre-ordered my Maverick XLT today. Area51. Better preorder now. There gonna be backed up. All they ask for is a 500 deposit. You get the money back if you decide not to buy when it comes in.

I don’t recommend fender flares I installed some RC ones on my 2014 Silverado and while it looks good with my 33” tires and lift they tear up the paint the longer you have them. Vibration while driving causes the scratching and it builds up dirt inbetweeen the flair and the actual fender

Fender flares are a must have on gravel roads! I'd get those, and a bed rack for a rtt.

Great vid!!! Prices are outrageous, but dealer accessories have been since the beginning of time lol. I'm holding off on my Maverick, as I've heard rumors of a Maverick Tremor, and/or factory lift.

I installed the tailgate dampener on my 2020 Ranger and it was easy. For $50, it was well worth the cost. I also installed window visors and a soft bed cover. The bed cover took a little more time as I had to re-tap the bolt holes due to the factory spray in bed liner. I live in Western New York, so I can't say how the soft liner would hold up in the Arizona sun. Cheers!

I'm going to be that guy with fender flares and stock tires >:) and I live in AZ so watch out. I actually ordered the fender flares to try to prevent rocks from flying up and scratching the fenders and doors. This is a problem Ive ran into with my Altima.

Fender flares are great for trapping water and moisture which equals Rust. I also bought my Truxedo roll-up topper for my F150 for $25 off Craigslist...list price $499.00 😹

The truxedo elevate Ladder rack works with most tri-folds soft and hard roll up tonneau covers and has a 750 static weight capacity.

peragon makes a fabulous topper for trucks, however I have been in touch with them, they don't plan on making one for the Maverick, too bad because they are beautiful!

We live in snow country (Maine) and I’m want to get a decent tonneau cover when my Wife’s Maverick comes in. I pulled the soft tri-fold off the build but I’m still leaning towards that one. You need to worry about the extreme sun while we need to worry about 2 feet of snow on the cover;) I saw the soft roll up was like $369.00 but I wonder if it can it hold the weight of the snow? 2:32 That sure looks like a vinyl floor under the mat. Has that been confirmed by Ford? I really hope the XL comes with a vinyl floor instead of carpet but haven't found confirmation yet. Lemme know please 🙂

Instead of those cross bars, how about a "T" bar for the receiver.

Now that I have received my Maverick, I went into the Dealers accessory store to order a few items and every response I got was: those aren’t available yet. Shows it on Fords website but it’s not available to the dealer? Specifically I wanted the rubber bed mat, one of the cargo nets and plastic type floor mats.

Spray on bed liner with a “backrack” or possibly some type of ladder rack to place sheets of plywood or rooof materials. Tow and off road packages we will add as we will need to be able to tow somewhat light cargo and on dirt roads. Standard gas “eco boost” engine. A lot of the other stuff seems like overpriced junk that you can go anywhere else for. Thinking about getting ours ordered. Great information about options 🌈😃🤙

Hoo els thinks this new maverick resembles the 2010 Ford Explorer sport trac? Ya I know it’s smaller but park them side by side and you can’t deny the resemblance.

Looking for an actual lumber rack for the Maverick. Weight limit on the Yakima bed rack that is available seems a bit light at only 300 lbs. Would be great if the lumber rack also allowed for a camper shell to fit under it. So the rack mounts would need to be wider than the bed rails.

Great vid! I knew this trucklet would get alot of accessories. I am going to need a replacement for my daughter’s 2013 Escape within the next year. The Maverick is an option due to her not really going off road much, but another option would be a used Taco or 4 Runner for the price. Tough choices.

I may consider the Maverick for my next vehicle in a few years and I hope the FX4 has a high end ground clearance for crossing a shallow river.

I will go in the other direction for the bed extender . Like the old '03 Subaru Baja a passthrough between the cabin and bed . Why not have applied the idea? Structural Weakness? So give me a hacksaw as accessories.

My maverick hybrid will come with drop in bed liner from the factory,, my dealer will install the hard roll up cover tonneau, but i wonder if they can install the tonneau on top of the drop in bed liner. Every youtube i watched only show the roll up tonneau on a bedless maverick, or a bed thats has been shoot.. i want to know if the hard drop in bed liner will work with the hard roll up tonneau. They are both accessories available from ford website. And yes i'd like to see a tonneau that allows bars to add a tent rack for overlanding with the maverick

Not impressed with the bed rack solutions so far. I am looking for a decent lumber/pipe rack which is easy to install and remove, extends over the roof of the cab and does not cost a ridiculous amount of money.

I just placed an order. I got the XL with spare tire, 110W outlet, spray in liner and tow connection. It came out to 22,450 but with transportation fees, tags and registration and other dealer fees it was an additional $4000. What are your thoughts? Should I go for it?

They really screwed up not giving us a 6-FOOT BED option... I won't be buying this truck now, and I wanted to. As well, really wanted a Hybrid AWD. Now I'll have to buy a Tacoma or Frontier. :(

It looks like Ford is making up for lower cost of the truck by charging $1,400 destination charge and $3,500 for the top? You add that up and you can buy a used truck for $5K.
