I've got the XLT with the luxury package all wheel drive and you know I really don't see spending the extra money for you know just getting those headlights and you know it's about it really I mean why spend the money

Leather is leather, plastic is plastic and if you don’t know the difference then you shouldn’t be pretending to be an expert on this stuff! All I wanted to do is clear up this MAJOR claim! I’ve been trying to get FACTS about this vehicle and I kept getting misinformation about a very important aspect of the interior of the Lariat! This variant is quite an expensive (relatively speaking) option. Just because something might look like leather does not make it leather! This is pretty costly for a vinyl upholstery, regardless of how nice it looks!
@@MrBoom50 , technically, I guess you are correct! ACTIVE X is recycled plastic. I am not saying this is either a good or a bad thing, not having tested this material or seen the test results personally. All I am saying is that these seats are not “LEATHER”! Real leather is from the hides of actually animals that go through a process called tanning that makes it suitable for use in upholstery and other uses. Ford’s ACTIVE X material is a recycled material, more than likely a composition of materials from the PVC class of materials, generically referred to a VINYL! But because Ford engineered this material to be repurposed as an upholstery fabric I guess they can re-brand it any way they want. The bottom line is when people by this vehicle with these seats in this form, TGEY ARE NOT BUYING LEATHER AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLD THAT THEY ARE, SO STOP!

Hi fast question is the lariat bed the same size as the xlt ? The bigger eat up more gas correct ? I will ask all the questions when I order this is my last vehicle I will be buying gonna drive it to the ground trying to save miles doesn’t work and it’s all about the miles when u trade thank you for the nice video bro 😎
@@diegolovesosa5818 no adaptive cruise available on XLT it has 4K tow package and heated seats, power seat, spray in liner with bed extender. It’s a dope little truck about to hit 5k on odo before year is over, average is 25mpg.
I know they had two in the SEMA garage several months ago and they specifically mentioned lowering one. I suspect they took all of the measurements for companies like Eibach, H&R and others so those should be available soon. Problem is for us lowered guys those companies usually only offer 2" lowering. Imma need 4" to 6" (or more) for a decent static stance!
Thanks for the breakdown of these two trim packages. I am super excited for my first edition hybrid, who knows when I'll get it but I can't wait. It's my only vehicle so I went all out. Plan to keep it til it dies.
I ordered a 4K XLT with the FX4 and the XLT packages. I weighed my options on the Lariet and found the onlything im missing out is signature lighting, push button start and adaptive cruise. Having not had any of those I did not see the extra expense. Cant miss what you never had. Granted when I get mine I will probably mod the lighting to my liking just like my current car, which is a 2016 Mk7 GTI
Youre lucky, having been spoiled by all those in my current crossover, it’s hard not to get them in my next vehicle. But the price difference between xlt and lariat is not insignificant…
@@jakes5530 Your right it is a good chunk of change for some bells and whistles. That being said how many bells and whistles till you no longer have the feeling of driving though.
I am looking forward to getting my XLT Hybrid.. I like the blue cloth interior .. I think the brown seats in the Lariat is ugly... I only wish push button start on the XLT was an option to buy ... It's perfect for what I need it to do...
Agreed. There are a few features making me lean Lariat, but push button start is by far the biggest. Would 100% go XLT if pbs was included in the lux package.
I’m super disappointed that the XLT doesn’t have PBS. I ordered an XLT AWD with off road package and PBS is one thing that I really wanted to have but could not justify spending the extra $ for the Lariat package just for that. It should have been offered as a add on.
Thanks for the informational video, a couple of differences between the lariat and the XLT, the lariat does not have leather seats, it’s called active X, which is a fancy name for synthetic leather, which is a fancy name for vinyl. And the lariat, comes with adaptive cruise control, which speeds up and slows down with traffic.
I saw one of these at a dealer in Southern CA. Very cute and compact. The dealer wanted $10k over MSRP and said expect this premium price until the end of 2022. Overall it look great in and out.

Im just getting the XL. and will wait for someone in a lariat to wreck his and there are some leathery seats available from the guys who part them out.
I ordered an XLT in October, and I'm getting tempted to switch it to a Lariat. I know I'll be happy with either one, so I'm not sure if I can justify the extra 4-5 grand on the Lariat. I know I will really miss a push start in the Lariat since I don't even need a key to start my current 2012 Nissan Sentra, so I'm torn. I think I still have some time to make a decision and stack some extra cash for that matter
I'm excited to get my rapid red 1st edition around the end of Jan it will be my daily vehicle with those creature comforts and such just want to do a few minor visual updates and I'll be satisfied
The worst thing to do is buy the first year of any model, from any manufacturer. Pick almost any vehicle and see changes they make. The 1st and often 2nd year always have the most, and its always to fix problems.
Obviously you’re biased toward the Ford, but if you can find a Santa Cruz to use for the day, I think it’d be interesting to see a real life side-by-side comparison, going over stuff like driving impressions, and interior & exterior space, and even towing would be awesome to see!
I've went by the local Hyundai dealership a couple times and they haven't had one either time, I definitely want to try and get into one to test out. And yes I'm definitely a ford person for sure, that said. The Santa Cruz looks tits
Just got my Lariat delivered today. Biggest thing i noticed was the comfort.. the XLT seats are ok but sitting in the Lariat is sooo much more "cushiony" if that makes sense. I've had multiple people drive mine already who have ridden in the XLT and the first thing everyone sais is how much more comfortable the lariat seats are vs the XLT
Mine came in this week half the stuff that I ordered wasn't on it it basically looked like a plane truck With the cheap yellow or should I say Orange interior and I refuse the truck I'm waiting all that time and finding out they didn't even build it the way I wanted it which kind of pissed me off so he ended up ordering an xl
Thanks for all your videos! for all us guys that won't be receiving orders till spring, we get our Maverick fix from content like yours. I ordered a the Alto blue with the Lariat and Hybrid, so looks like an April delv😐 A couple main reasons I ordered the Lariat, not a fan of cloth seats and wanted XM radio for the long drives.

Not a Lariat vs XLT question, but more of a FX4 vs standard AWD… did you happen to feel, or notice a difference in acceleration between the 2? From how I understand it, the FX4 package gets you a lower final drive ratio. Maybe you weren’t looking for it, but I figured I’d ask.

Any plans to add an auto dimming rear view mirror or a rear view mirror with homelink? I was surprised no trim or package offered it. Would love to see a mod video of you adding the powered rear view mirror. Maybe a gentex rimless one.
I'm debating between xl, xlt , or Lariat don't know which one to buy for my first truck yet... for the next video if you have the off road package you can take your xlt off road that's my opinion and I want to see if the off road abelites are worth the upgrade from the hybrid.
Put a XLT on order in June, got a build date of September 20th. Received a email with a order number and Vin number. Been following it for 5 weeks now and yesterday I went in to check it and everything was gone, no order number or Vin now?

I thought it wasn't worth the money for cheap truck it's supposed to be down in the twenties by the time everything stickered out because they were they didn't have an invoice for it at the time the vehicle stickered for most $30000 which I thought was too much money for a small little pick up

Mr boom i prefer the xlt, im old school and i dont need or want all the extra electronics jamed in my vehicle. With that being said the are other electronic components the can be gotten rid of such as the screen in the middle of the dash board, just give me nobs and swiches. Also why do you aim your in car camera at your rearview mirror. It makes your video appear the your driving a vehicle with right side drive. 👍🍻
Did you reserve early? I' want to trade in my car which will cover most of the new Maverick but I'm scarred if it takes to long for them to build my care value will drop more and more.
Thanks for the lariat comparison. Interesting that the acoustic windshield on the lariat made no difference in cabin noise as you said cabin noise was same as XLT.
@@ghry7803 for all that side wind coming in, I’m confused. The lariat cabin SHOULD be quieter, if not why use the acoustic windshield on that trim at all. Maybe the difference is negligible.
@@semisonic77 tires make a difference too. He said he didn't notice a difference to sound level, but the tires are for sure louder with the fx4, so maybe it cancelled each other out.
This will be an upgrade from my 2014 focus because I need something that I can heal with.I’ll probably be getting the lariat 2.0 with the upgraded tow package.
Was the check engine lamp on in the Lariat you were driving? I ask because in the shot of the dash, there looked like a yellow engine lamp in the tach area.
I'd resist heating them, reduces spring rate and tends to make them bouncy. Cutting increases spring rate and makes the ride a little more harsh. Either way, torching transfers heat to components you don't want heated but you probably know all this having the lowered F150's.
The lariat gets 23mpg city, 30 on highway 26 mixed. For Xlt you can get the fordcopilot360 package for adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, parking assist, blind spot monitoring and more for $800+. Plus it's a hybrid 42mpg.
@@MrBoom50Yeah seriously. Personally I'd rather turn a key on a truck. I have a sports sedan with push start and leather. The cloth seats and bright orange is refreshing in the xlt at least in my opinion. Can't wait to get my area 51, eco boost, maverick xlt 🥲
