2022 Giant Trance Advanced E+ 2 Carbon E-bike following the Specialized Levo SL Expert Carbon 

53 lbs compared to 41 lbs and the Levo is like riding a normal bike and you cant even tell its an ebike when going downhill. Going uphill is a different story and the Giant has way more power and over twice the torque. Turbo on the Giant is kind of overkill unless you are climbing straight up. I ride the Levo and its got enough power for me to get the job done and ride 2 or 3 times as far for the same amount of energy output physically. If you are a regular rider then the Levo should be enough but if you are out of shape or don't like to put any effort into climbing then the full power bikes might be better for your except you have to just point them downhill and plow through things.

Its more than enough and they are even coming out with a larger capacity battery that is the same size and a direct replacement.

I agree that ebikers shouldn't be doing 20mph up hills and blowing by other bikers and hikers but as long as they behave I don't see the harm. Its like a hiker saying mountain bikes don't belong on trails. Plus they are not any faster downhill anyways.

Agreed but you might not understand the subtleties between a motorcycle and an electric bicycle. As someone who owns both I agree there is no reason to fly up/down trails at high speed however there are plenty of people on regular bikes who fly down a trail at full speed without a bell. Unfortunately there is no cure for being a butt. Remember not everyone has the time/energy to ride an actual bike up a mountain every day. It requires quite a bit of strength and stamina and unless you do it constantly you won't be able to ride most trails and enjoy yourself. Conversely, with an ebike a person who wants to spend their limited time outside enjoying themselves riding can still do so and get a bit of exercise. Few ebikers I've met would argue an ebike is just as difficult to ride as a regular one and if they do they are delusional.

Did you look with your eyes closed? I didn’t see any motorcycle. I only saw people enjoying a bike ride.

A lot of hard core mountain bikers are riding ebikes because they can do 2-4 times as many laps/day with what are now excellent emtbs. Get used to it. Ebikes have already taken over europe and other countries. usa is just lagging, but catching up fast. emtbs are in high demand here right now, the good ones like these are selling out quick. I'll be 69 this year, and they allow me to still get out and ride - much further. I've had a Haibike - very high quality - for almost 4 years now, and I love it. I could keep up with my 35 year old son until he seriously injured himself. He doesn't ride any more. I do.
