Final for Round 1 of the GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge in the Briggs Heavy class. This is not how I wanted to end my day at the track and it was all my fault. After a decent start I was racing for the 5th position when I drove it into turn 8 too far and locked the rear tires. I got off the brakes and hoped the rear tires would catch and keep the kart straight but that didn’t happen. It just kept rotating around until I went all the way around. Once it stopped sliding it stalled and had a hard time staring again. Thanks to the turn worker for getting me started so I could keep going. I managed to pass one more kart and finished the race in the 13th. Tough pill to swallow but that’s racing. Next race is in March and I’m already looking forward to it.
