This is NOT defeat. You are sooo negative. There is more work or be done. BTS can apply for more categories instead of just one. They can use their OWN songs from Big Hits that they wrote or was involved in the creation. They do NOT have to be limited in their application for Grammy awards. The company needs to be more open minded. They are global entertainers who have made massive contribution to the Music Industry and Community. However, it does not diminish the hard work of other artists who have worked for years to attain accomplishment in the same field.

@@abiisaqib7816 It’s not about being open minded. BTS must first meet the time frame for submission to be eligible for nominations. After that, BTS have to be nominated by eligible members who apply for that voting year. Those celebrities who ARE eligible members of the Grammy Academy and applied for the current year and whose application was accepted MUST vote for BTS. Also to get nominated, legitimate industry members who meet the qualifications MUST nominate BTS. This shows how many industry people are actually supporting them. The voting information is NOT revealed and NO-ONE ever ask the Academy to verify or validate the votes before the public via a certified accounting firm. So, there’s are too many variables that are not revealed. Those artist who ARE selected have been working for years and deserve the Grammy. It’s not an easy achievement because those who choose are the artist peers. So, people can say whatever they FEEL, but in the end, it is VOTES by other artists that get the Grammy. If only we could see the tally, numbers, and percentages , it would be more open to the public. We really don’t know how many nominations were made in what categories and how many votes were casts and the percentage received by the nominee. Some people in the business seem to use BTS for the large viewing audience. I think Armies should start working to campaign for nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best pop duo/group performance, Best new artist for BTS. ARMY should try to campaign for other artist to apply as voting members to vote for BTS to get a Grammy, put in the work see how things work first. Learn the process and use it to benefit BTS. Go to the Grammy Academy website ( recordingacademy.com) and see what it takes and try to make things happen, you all are supposed to be the MIGHTY ARMY for BTS, make it happen, DO SOMETHING !!! By the way, where is the evidence that BTS was NOMINATED for other categories and was not selected? Again, for BTS to receive votes they must be nominated by Academy members through the first round ballot either Nominations Review Committee, or Craft Nominating Committee processes. It is a process, so if the other ARTISTs are not doing their part by becoming involved in the voting, they should not say anything. No one knows if they are voting for BTS because the voting is done in secret, really.

@@letstalk7548 I definitely get what you're saying they need to stop limiting them to only one category. The company keeps pushing only category pop/duo and group and then are surprised when they get beaten every single time. Like why are they not submitting them to best album? Best selling artist? Best pop song. LIKE its actually annoying. If they keep doing this next year award show then I honestly don't see BTS winning a grammy at all and its not because they're not talented. They easily had the best performance of the not but the category they were put in was awful.

First of all, it's not because bts did not meet the time frame, they definitely made sure to release their songs within the time frame. An example of not meeting the time frame would be Silk Sonic, the song Leave the door open qualified but they released the album After the eligibility period. So while their song contended this year, the album would be eligible next year. That's why they received noms for song and record of the year but not album. Second, for the submission, it was revealed that bts submitted for 6 categories, 3 for the album BE and 3 for butter (pop duo/record/song) but obviously they were only nominated for one. Thirdly, even though voting breakdown is not made known to the public, theres no malicious things happening as actual vote counting is done by Deloitte - accounting/audit firm. Same thing for Oscars, and other awards. Fourthly, unfortunately not every registered member would even cast a vote. But if you know where to go, sometimes some of these members would reveal what they voted for on socmed platforms like twitter. These members would also be one of the early ones to reveal what artists submitted for nomination consideration.

yea exactly i felt so bad for Justin, Billie and Lil Nas 😢 but mainly Justin cuz he was 2nd most nominated I believe… Doja was nominated 6 times, so I'm so glad she got a least one, it's just sad for the boys bcoz she won it in *their* category, but either way she deserved it, PERIOD.

But a grammy is a grammy no matter what the category. Been watching the grammys for a long long time now, I know how it works 🙄

@@michelleimogu9296 imo he shouldve submitted Peaches in pop instead of R&B. His chances wouldve been better in pop but it was a very competitive year because of LTDO in R&B and Drivers License in Pop, followed by grammy darling Billie Eilish's HTE. I think JB should be happy that he at least has 2 Grammys. Plenty of famous pop stars dont even get nominated, or even nominated but never won. Katy Perry famously has 13 noms but never won. Not even when she was ruling the charts with hit albums and songs back then. Grammys is never a popularity contest anyway

Please stop speaking for other people. Silk Sonic was in support of BTS winning. Saying Silk Sonic felt BTS DESERVE to win over Doja Cat and SZA is a stretch. Many people were supporting BTS in receiving a Grammy and WE all can do that, but they still need the vote of their peers. Hey, do you think collaborations should be a separate category from Best Group/Duo? Best regards.✌🏽

They are great at what they do, I agree. This is a show case and award for entertainers by entertainers. Yes, people are xenophobic. However, BTS needs votes from their PEERS to be selected for a Grammy. Also, they are other artist around the globe who are as great as BTS , other performers do not get global marketing from their company. Again, other global artists do not have a force like ARMY. But, ARMY cannot help BTS on this one, unless they are eligible voting members of the Academy.👀

@Let’s Talk 🎤 If you listen to Bts Korean songs they are far better than other artists music like I hv around 80 good songs of them in my mobile and I don't hv that many good songs of any other artist present or past not even 1/3rd of this number and they sing so many different genres, best ever. But Grammys only care about english songs

I understand your sadness but harping on about xenophobia is really something... Doja and Sza's win meant that they are the first all female black duo/group to win this category. Out of the 4 general field categories, they all went to POCs: Bruno and Anderson, Jon Batiste, Olivia.. POCs dominated hip hop, rnb, even pop this year. Grammys is not perfect for sure, but to talk about xenophobia, when grammys have awarded tons of awards to non-whites and females, more so than let's say the Oscar's just because your fave didn't win is not the right narrative imo. Among Asians too, it was a big night. Olivia, Bruno, Anderson, even a South Asian artist won an award for the non-televised category

I knew they wouldn't either and I wasn't even surprised. I even guessed doja would get it but bc that song was so good. I'm being totally unbiased here, I just think doja's song was better and it actually deserved it. I was more upset at the outcome last year tho, cause literally all those other songs in the category were so bad compared to dynamite lol, but this year the competition was tough. Also, some EXTREMELY talented artists have never had a grammy in their lives but have had multiple noms, like SIA she's had like 9noms and zero wins. Others get multiple noms but few wins and usually never their first nominations. This is just how the grammy are they invite artists to their show make them sit and won't give them what they deserve sadly... even artists like Eminem have stated this and is why you don't see artists like him or drake or weeknd to Kanye attend grammys

@@gomes5945 The thing is no one knows the percentages or numbers of the artists that cast nominations or votes. It’s all done in secret: nominations ,votes, numbers, and all. The one thing that should be known is the Grammy is where eligible general members nominate and voting members vote on their peers performance(s).
