I appreciate that a lot Sithembiso. It's really not the easiest thing to do as access is not always granted with ease but I am blessed to have good relations with some dealerships and manufacturers. Where possible I will keep trying to bring the necessary information on time. Thank you so much for this, it really uplifts me🙏
Haha, Demtumza, I understand you, yesterday was the first time I saw it live, I used to think its a little ugly on paper but damn! This looks and feels like a million bucs I tell you. Thank you so much for gracing us with your presence, it is always welcome and appreciated. 🙂🙏
When I first saw the Asian/Chinese market version about 2 years or so ago, I didn't think it would make it here, it seemed to good to be true. Now that it's here, Haval is carving out their own little niche market. It's actually trending on Google searches. It seems Haval dealerships are gonna be a bit busier 😅 Two words: hot cakes!!!
Look, ignore Asia at your own peril. if I was planning to open a dealership, I'd focus on those brands and create relationships with the Chinese because this is just the beginning. They are cooking hard, they have been learning for too long and making mistakes, and now they are executing the right way. This one though is just a brilliant product, it looks amazing in metal, no way you'd let it pass without looking😅
@@sebuwam That's so true, there's a channel I watch to see what's happening Asia-side: Wheelsboy, I wish they'd at least bring here the car's they make over there. Slowly but surely, they are
Not quite. One more update required to focus on the suspension to tune for the conditions of the market they are selling too and the Chinese suspension tune here in Australia is trash. Other than that there great
what a game changer, haval just dropping heavy bangers only, now kia, hyandai and toyota are going to have a hard time overcharging people on zero stock car
Haval and Chery are really making us to question a lot of things when it comes to financial decisions. Especially with their cars coming at the right quality now.👌🏾🤞🏾
I doubt if they will do that. You know pure manual drivers are fading away slowly. Clutch balancing is killing people out there. So with a fear of it not selling, I think they will keep it with the DCT🤔
Mmmh! I loved it regardless due to the cladding. I think bigger tyres will improve its stance and appearance though. Overall, they nailed it. Stunning vehicle, especially for this price🤞🏾
@@eliasRUNs I see it selling too. For this price its too much of a car. I love the regular H6 as well but this is just too nice besides the exhaust and so on. It feels way more premium!
Yerrrr, you are positioned nicely. Remember that Super Lux might fetch its original retail price right now in the second-hand market if you find the right buyer. This car looks nice but if you have the Super Lux you may not need it, it is just a Super Lux with a smaller boot and loud exhaust, unless if you don't need practicality and you love it's vibe, we can chat to Bruce 😅
Great review bro. In the Aussie reviews, some reckon the sound in that race mode sounds forced/strained. Others say it's fantastic... Given the fuel guzzling tendency of my H6, I wouldn't get this one, especially since the price is so much higher than the lux for the exact engine as far as their briefing stated... but ayeye customer ripoffing Germans
Thanks a lot Matthew, well, it's quite an unusual sound coming out of a 2L, especially because it does not end with pops and bangs. Otherwise it sounds like an aftermarket exhaust for some reason. I agree with you on taking the H6, mainly for budget and practicality. If you have the money though, on looks, interior design and some playfulness, this is the one🤞🏾
@@chefgav1 it didn't exist here when we purchased and there was no indication that it would. But at R669k, it's also R200k more than wat the lux was at the time we bought. 😅
Quite a stunner of a car. Unfortunately due to coupé design it lost luggage space. Thats a bummer! Otherwise very nice car and very affordable for what you get.
Yeah, if you "need" that practicality it's better to stick to the regular H6 because it's still very much a complete vehicle and performs just like this one. Otherwise they are both amazing vehicles. Especially for the asking price!🤞🏾
Have you noticed any compression of the sound from the stereo? I picked my new H6GT up last week and the sound is terrible. Quiet sounds like song intros are amplified too loud and when all the other instruments kick in everything is squashed. It sounds like a compressor or a limiter, or some kind of automatic gain control in the head unit. The dealer is saying they can't do anything. It's a brand new car. Never heard a stereo that does this in 30 years of driving.
Did not play it much actually, I played the ones in the HEV and it was quite proper and if I remember very well better than the GT and they should have the same set-up🤔
I like the design but i feel it could have been alot cleaner at the rear without the fake carbon ceramic look and put in a light bar instead and the Haval badging being in the light bar itsself. and have an option for debadging it. I would have loved to have wider tires like 255/45 R20 rims.. It would give it a more stable stance.
For some reason, I love the rear more than on the standard H6, especially with the lights on. I used to love the long strip bar but I feel it needed something extra on the sides like Porsche does it, maybe it's just my eyes (Like I can't accept the Discovery's number plate being placed on the side). I feel you on the tyre size though, this thing is actually quite big, bigger than the H6 even. I guess thats why they put so much cladding to hide that the wheels appear a little smaller. Otherwise they've done great in making this look differently to the regular H6.
Ok this is just down the street from me in Steve Biko road Gezina. Will go test drive. Exhaust pipe not ayoba, round is always best Rear view more like X4 andX6 sport SUV but the front is nice.
Yeah, you should. Always finding their service great. Got my Haval there in 2020. I agree it has some previous gen X4/6 vibes. I think once you do a coupe, you are likely to go that route, remember the merc started with Coupe(s) as well? Overall though it has many unique features. Lovely vehicle👌🏾
Eish this is a good one Mpho. My 3rd gen H6 is now a year old and I’m still enjoying it, but I’m tempted. Too soon I know hahaha. But the big question…. Will this one now persuade you to trade in your H2? 😀
Haha, Sizwe, if I had the 3rd gen H6, I'd be a little jealous of this like I felt after getting the H2 and Haval brought the Jolion, felt like I was done dirty there. I am an Accountant by profession, only money can motivate me to make a move like that, so far I don't see a point of changing. I'd get the H6 GT in a heartbeat if I am looking into the segment honestly, but my financial calculator does not allow me to trade in the car just yet 😅
@@sebuwamHehehe I hear you. Yeah I got jealous looking at the GT but at the same time I’m comforted by the fact that the one I have which is also AWD and the GT have the same interior, same drive train and power output (that added 5kw won’t sway me). But I’m excited for the brand, the Gt will definitely win over those stubborn German buyers.
@@sizwedinisesoko True. Some may even modify the exhaust since they don't care much about warranties😅 Honestly, I did not think it will be this good but this is a very good product, damn! China has been learning on the job while we were laughing at their products we did not see that they were improving with time🤞🏾
It really looks great, how can I not appreciate such lovely words. Truly Appreciate the warm words. 🙏🏾🙂! The track is called Tide by Jones Meadow, a very nice tune🙂
I feel like the wheels are too small for the car, they could hve fitted 255/45/20 tires on this thing,nd the cladding is too much..but other than that great car
I guess the cladding is to manage the wheels not to look too small as its a sporty vehicle and the wheel arch is quite big, maybe it's the stance as it was raised a bit. Otherwise, I really love how it looks! They really did well to make it look Sporty!
@@sebuwam yes Haval did a really good job here, it looks the part, the problem comes here,,it is literally the same price as the sporty Mazda CX-5 Carbon edition which also looks very beautiful!..nd to be really really honest, I’d buy the Mazda, yes the Haval is a great car, also interior wise nd is faster, but I’d take my money to Mazda to be honest
@@Kopsnkops i love Mazdas, my first car was a mazda 3, but the CX5 is old tech current model can't compete, I feel they will release a better one soon, in this case I would take Haval H6, or wait for the next CX5 not facelift
@sebuwa M, I love your reviews, really helped me to decide on whether to purchase the Tiggo 4 pro, I love this car, however, I need one more thing from you ...I love your playlist, can you send me something, URL or something. Thanks, heaps...
Malibongwe, much appreciated brother. It means a lot to hear that.🥲🙌🏽 I always put playlist in the description, all videos if you go to the description towards the end, you will find the names 😉
Ola Ola thanks Mr Sebuwa. Well to me I see design ques from the Tesla model X with flying doors China copies a lot…🙆🏾♂️also see some cayenne GT inspired seats and stuff🫣 Overall what a great looking car. Why couldn’t haval display the actual exhaust cause quad pipes in SA are welcome! 🎁 The key not allowing the boot to close is typical when you rush to make a product 🤣 I believe this will suffer heavily on fuel due to its punchy behaviour. It’s probably the GO to haval for boy racers 🤡 I would love one with an exhaust show upgrade and a nice metal grey color 👍🏿🫡
Hehe Ozem, I am glad you touched on cars that look like it a bit. That's what I like about it, many people are seeing a little bit of something they saw before in it, from Lamborghini to Porsche. I honestly think it's the coupe style that led to that view. Overall though, design cues on many vehicles these days are quite similar if you think about it, even from the most established brands. I think the exhaust issue is the same concept done by Volvo, hiding it appeals to the environmentalists which is a big deal this days as manufactures are preparing for electric future. 😅 On the key issue, I was told that I did not press it properly, I needed to press it twice. I'll try when I test drive it. Honestly, the fuel consumption is not going to be nice when everyone is playing with exhaust all the time. That's one thing that will calm people down on the road😅
So far I don't have accurate figures on fuel as they are all pretty much still fresh. Not even sure if there is one that has done 1500km. I said 150kw/320nm like the H6 but I heard it's actually 155kw/325nm. I think these new numbers come from press briefings.🤔
Someone please take Sebuwa to prison, he is at it again torturing us with the immaculate beauty of Haval. I wonder when is he going to set us free from the greatest work his doing 🤔 😏
😅😅😅🥲! Aow man, you can't take me to prison now, I still need to drive this car first. 🤣. They really did a great job here ey! Otherwise, I really appreciate the love bro! It means a lot🙌🏽🥲
