This video will show you how to remove and install the Black Honda Emblems. OEM instructions online will tell you to remove the front bumper and remove the nuts that hold the H symbol, However the car is new and I am not going through all that.

The Black Honda Badge kit comes with the front H, Rear H and Civic emblems in gloss black. I will not be using the Black Civic name plate as I am de-badging this car. I like a clean look.

I have the same car. Looking forward to getting the windows tinted. The dealership did the black badges. Part of the Mark up but at least I got something for the extra money. Now I did find a couple of flaws in the paint on the lip oh the hood. Two spots that are thin. Not noticable unless you look for them but it bugs nevertheless. I was really happy to hear your issues got corrected. I'm going to see if they will help me.

Random question, first time Honda owner here. Do you know why the audio sound is so low ? It goes up to 40 do u happen to know if there’s a trick to make the music louder besides getting a sound system ? Or do I need a sound system for that

seen some online in flat black, does Honda make them in flat black or is it fake ones? on most Honda sites is always gloss black. I'm asking cause my Honda is black and matt black would look better and stand out the gloss paint?

I would have pushed the pins through and kept the pins on the new H to guide it into place without error. I have my kit en route.

I totally agree. Lol 😂 If I could go back in time I would. But for sure keep the tabs.. use them as a guide. It was a pain to get dead center.

@@mr.rene2u the Red honda emblems represent Honda. $200 worth of Honda pride. No different than black as its an accent of color. But the legacy of TypeR 2022 may just have a different look. We will see. Some say it's a black chrome and red. 🤷‍♂️

Random question. How did you get your sunroof to tilt / vent? Mine only opens and closes it does not tilt to vent. I have a 22 civic hatch sport touring.

I just installed mine today too. Same thing happened , the little clips broke and we’re stuck in there. All I had to do was push them back in all the way and they fell in behind. No issues at all installing it with the black emblem’s clips.

Did the clips fall out on to the ground when you pushed them through? Or did they get stuck somewhere in the engine bay?

@@SliimjimHD I think they’re inside the emblem box. If you open your hood and look inside , it’s literally a closed part. Not sure if they fell but either way it won’t really matter bc you won’t be able to hear the rattling of them since they’re super small.

@@mr.rene2u I was low key panicking bc I couldn’t get the pieces that were stuck out. My buddy gave me a metal toothpick and just ended up pushing them all the way inside. Yours still looks good though!

Random question. What tint percentage did you do for your windows? And did you tint your front windshield?

The did tint the windshield, however the window had issues from factory. Might want to check out the video about that. Tints are 15% all around or 20% depending on what film manufacturer you go with.

Have you looked at your hatch on it, on my hatchback I can see the strut completely with the hatch closed. The dealer size and needs another vehicle to compare it to, I don’t think it should look that way. But I’m waiting to see when they get another one so they can compare

If your talking about the miss alignment of panels like hatchback lid, hood, doors, moldings. In general i do believe they need to do a better job during assembly. Our civic was built in Indiana. A lot of misaligned stuff on the body. Almost ever one I’ve seen on RU-vid as well.

Yes, The black emblems look good and I say a must have on any car color but black. The front H-Mark emblem looks good, but the H is no longer visible from afar. Maybe if the front emblem is painted a gunmetal grey or some contrasting color, depending on the car paint color, it would look nice, too. And I see you could also customize it further by making a thin plate the same size and shape as the emblem outline to go behind it, covered in a contrasting color, or carbon fiber design to stand out more. Honda has the black rear H Mark and Civic emblem, and Sport one sold separately, but no blacked out Touring emblem. I was thinking having that Touring emblem also done in black and have the lettering painted a contrasting color like red, or body color. The same for the Si emblems. If you black out the other emblems, the edges of the Si emblems will still be chrome, so youvwill have to find someone that can remove them without damaging the front grille and rear emblem and dechrome them to match.

Yes. So many options out there. For us we de-badged it. Going to black out the rim center caps as well as the chrome window trim. Just a few more projects to get it where we want it. Thanks for watching.

@@mr.rene2u Traditionally, the top sport trims added some chrome to give a more luxury touch, but I like the smoked chrome they put on the grilles of the Honda Accord Sport and HR-V Sport. But if you want the more agressive serious performance look, the Sport fits the part with the full black out trim, wheels and emblems. You may even want to black out the chrome trim at the exhaust ports on the rear bumper.
