I took delivery of our hybrid CRV last week. This is my 5th CRV and this one is absolutely amazing. Butter smooth drivetrail, sound proofing is soooo mcuh better that previous models, and steering is tight and feels soooo expensive. I also test drove the 2023 to make sure that I wanted the 2022. IMO, the 2022 looks better than the 2023, both interior and exterior. I'm sure that some others will disagree, however, the feel and look of the 2022 cemented my decision. I couldn't be happier and I know that for 5/6 more years, I'm good. Maybe the 2029/2030 will catch my eye, but thats a long way away.

I bought one last week, the Sport Touring Model, about $48,000 with dealer installed options,tax, fees, and extended warranty. So far, I like it and it accelerates like my 255 horsepower Cadillac SRX4 but gets 41 mpg vs the Cadillac’s 15 mpg. When I first got into the driver’s seat I was intimidated by it all, not understanding how to operate many features known and unknown to me and after a week behind the wheel I am still learning how to apply useful features. At any rate, I am expecting reliable performance from this vehicle as that is synonymous with the brand.

A completely redesigned CR-V will be introduced to the US market in about 6 months. I’d probably go with the hybrid version because I just don’t know if the oil-dilution issue reported in the turbo gas engine is significant or not.

We got one three months ago. Great fuel mileage. Quiet and smooth. Constructive criticism : could've used more storage near the dash. Not the best sound system. Infotainment screen way to small. Likes. Pretty much everything else.

Maybe it's the way it comes across on camera, but the instrument panel looks a bit dated. Yes, "sport" mode is way too loud for an SUV.

The transmission on these are pretty neat, or shall I say lack of a transmission. Under breaking an acceleration and stop and go driving the electric motor is powering the vehicle even with the gas engine on, the gas engine is just charging the battery or directly feeding electricity to one of the the two electric motors. It does have a single clutch pack that can engage while cruising on the highway that links gas engine to the electric motor so it can cruise on gas power. As soon as you put your foot into the Excelerator on the highway you go back to the fully electric drive mode but with the gas engine running. Pretty cool, it sounds kind of crazy but it’s actually a very very simple transaxle design. Way less parts than a conventional CVT or a conventional automatic

A note on the 2022 CR-V Sport Hybrid, a trailer harness cannot be installed to this model even though the harness is listed as a dealer installed option. I know having ordered the option only to be told by the dealer several weeks after placing the order that the trailer harness was not available for my 2022 model. This was a huge disappointment since I purchased the vehicle with intent to trailer my Honda motorcycle to Western destinations. Now I cannot do that thus it looks like I will need to go West with motorcycle in tow driving my 15 year old Cadillac SRX4 which only gets 20 mpg on highway.

This vehicle’s acceleration is better than my 1982 Z/28 Camaro and my 1975 Corvette. It has more than enough power to merge into freeway traffic.

I'm more interested in the overall quality of the vehicle. Despite the infotainment being outdated, as long as it works, I'm fine with it. It's at the bottom of my list. I have a 2021 Touring hybrid and couldn't be happier.

I have no idea why Honda continue to sell this CR-V that has started to age now. Though, it’s still a very practical and economical car but it’s about time that CR-V should have gotten at least a makeover.

I have been Honda CR-V Hybrid since 2021 and, as I can see, they have not moved at all to fix the rear seat belts, they are literally a disaster for smaller people, as the belt is heading through their neck. I talk about people measuring around 160cm. They also left the outdated Androuid in infotainment and its slowness and unstable behavior does not belong to such a car! It is otherwise a great car in terms of spatial and driving characteristics! Unfortunately, as on all Japanese cars, it saved on the paint itself, which is really thin! The trunk is missing a few hooks to fix shopping bags. I apologize for the inaccurate English. Thank you for understanding.

Total redesign in 2023. Very dated. No stock and charging $3,000 over MSRP if you find one.

Honda styling has been falling behind the past few years. To me exterior styling does not matter much since I will be sitting inside. But the Honda interiors are kind of weak. The new Honda Civic is excellent on the interior so hopefully all the Honda linup picks up. The reliability reputation is a huge positive and means I will always consider a Honda in every new car purchase.

Hyundai / Kia ( Tuscon/Sportage) have better, longer warranties, cost less, and are not sold by dealers who think they are selling Rolls Royce...but the cult sheeple will overpay just to flaunt a logo..enjoy the cvt noise, suckers,!......🙄 Another great review by Lauren, though. 👍🤗

As you say Kia and Hyundai have longer warranties but after just selling my Santa Fe you definitely need that longer warranty as reliability is shocking
