Surprised more American bikes do not offer lithium batteries like European bikes. No need for trickle charger, faster charging times, lighter and smaller, no hydrogen gas or cable corrosion from acid, higher CCA, longer warranty, full cranking power even at 10% charge vs lead acid batteries dead at 70%, and 3-5 times longer life.
Like the spoke wheels. A bit more chrome would really dress this bike out. Otherwise, the maroon would look better with black. At this price only a single disc up front hurts. Still a great bike, I wish I could afford.
I have the Maroon metallic Super Chief Limited. I love the Chrome Engine in the gloss black frame it really makes the engine stand out and turns heads. Everyone compliments it when they see it.
Hey, congratz on your new Super Chief Limited!! Before this video, I was all about getting a new Harley FATBOY!! Now I really want this Super Chief in this color!! So you really like it?
@@Burzurk1987 I love it. Every time I look at it I think, "damn, that is a beautiful machine". It runs great, rides great, and turns heads everything I ride it. I always get complements, and it's also awesome to have something you don't see everything you hear a motorcycle go by.
Here's some info if you're thinking about buying one. He talks about the color scheme being weird. The frame is black, so the chrome engine stands out. I don't know if that was by design but it really makes it look good. He also refers to it as a "small bike". It is not small by any means. Pictures don't do it justice. I'm 6'3" and I feel very comfortable on it I do wish the handlebars came back a little further. They sell extended reach handlebars and I bought one. I haven't put it on yet, but just holding it in place, it looks like it won't help much. Because of the length of the cables, I think they just bent the handlebars inwards rather than making them any longer. You will definitely want the "Pathfinder Driving Lights" they're easy to install - the harness is there inside the headlights, but if you get the Super Chief Limited, you'll want the Nacelle cover for the switch. It also accommodates the Heated Grips switch. I added the heated grips as well. The harness Is also there, and the switch mounts in the nacelle cover. You can also control the heated grips using the Ride Command touch screen. I added the Highways bars but I mounted after market pegs because they were about one tenth the cost and just as nice. The bike sounds sweet. It's not noisy like a Harley, but it sounds nice and when you're cruising and give it some gas to accelerate, it does sound like thunder. Hope this helps.
@@kschantz thanks for all that information! I appreciate it!! You obviously are very impressed & happy with your bike! What part of the country do you live in? I am in Arizona. I actually see Harleys all the time here, but have yet to see an Indian! I am also looking at the Harley FATBOY and also the Harley Deluxe and Heritage bikes. This Indian Super Chief Limited just came to my attention. Do all Limiteds come with that touch screen and also ABS? LED lights front and back? I would think bright LEDs help you to be seen better. Thanks for any other information.
To each their own. I have this bike with a sissy bar, highway bars, and driving lights. I absolutely love it. If there was a better looking bike, I would have chosen it instead.
2 months later, after trading up to a Springfield and seeing it (new chief)in person, I've come around. It's a fine bobber if you ask me, and a better option than the scout. Really like that digital display too.
