I’m not sure to be honest it feels like the right price but I just think the 9th is better for a budget and the air is better if not because but then again I’m probably bias since I have an air 5
I bought the 10th Generation iPad (256 gig)with the keyboard, Apple 1 pencil, and case and I love it. I really couldn’t afford the more expensive models. The keyboard is perfect for my use. I do think this model fills a niche that might not be as large as other models, but for me, it is perfect. Too much is made of how the Apple Pencil is charged. The Apple Pencil holds a charge that lasts a long time and I am pretty sure most people who buy this iPad won’t be buying the Pencil. This iPad is perfect for sitting on the couch checking emails, looking at the internet, or watching RU-vid videos like the one I just finished watching. Why pay more?
Exactly why I purchased this iPad with the keyboard just to do basic Internet searches in for entertainment purposes. I only got the 64 gig version because I don’t even plan on storing much besides apps on here and so far so good. Battery life isn’t the greatest, but hey, how many hours do you need to be on this thing anyway?
@@jayaprakashkp6769He means the 2018 iPad Pro, 2020 and 2022 iPad Airs and other very good tablets with a similar price on the used or second hand market.
This looks great! I just ordered a Pink 65 GB, I’m so super excited, this will be a huge upgrade from my IPad 6th gen! I use it daily for work and noticed it’s been running much slower! I also got a Bluetooth keyboard but it was not the Apple key board. Super excited!! Good review!
I would’ve traded the Apple Pencil 2 for the landscape camera. I know it’s near impossible to do both but that makes it so confusing. I think this is the baffling thing about this product. And don’t even get me started on the refurbished store deals on the iPad Air 4. They are pretty good. I don’t understand the hate with the M2 iPad Pro, it’s a spec bump and leaks were reporting a redesign. They shouldn’t trust leaks 100% of the time, but the M2 iPad Pro doesn’t deserve the hate. I think the hardware is amazing but iPadOS is getting there but still not the macOS dream all of us want. As for this iPad, I think is a bad deal.
What’s confusing about it? People be making the iPad Line Up like an integral equation. Which it isn’t. Use your brain and think. LANDSCAPE FACETIME CAMERA ALL DAY EVERY DAY. I don’t use the Apple Pencil at all and not planning to ever using one and the majority of the entry level iPad consumers don’t. So apple did a good job sacrificing the Apple Pencil 2 support for the land scape FaceTime camera position!
@@vengeanceau good for you, but your opinion is in the tiniest of minorities. The Apple Pencil 1 should’ve been dropped already, and selling a whole separate adapter, in its own box, is absolute lunacy. Apple clearly doesn’t care about the environment. And the landscape camera, while nice, isn’t worth sacrificing Apple Pencil 2 compatibility. The landscape camera should’ve been implemented while retaining Apple Pencil 2 support, especially for a price hike of $120 from the gen 9 iPad. It’s a baffling money grab from Apple, and don’t even get me started on that $250 folio keyboard case
I only use the iPad for entertainment. I use it to watch stuff and light gaming. No editing, no school notes, no heavy use. It’s perfect for someone who uses it casually.
@@tacobeast28 nice, I am curious, though, how come, you didn’t get the fourth generation iPad Air,, I’m not criticizing your purchase, I’m just curious about it. The fourth generation, iPad Air is a much better value than the iPad 10. you could’ve gotten a refurbished iPad Air fourth generation for the same price.
I just got the 10th gen iPad and pretty happy about it. I did weight between getting the iPad Air 5 and the 10, but adding costs overall I would be able to save around 300 usd by getting the 10.
Great review. I feel like more people would buy the 10th gen if it was compatible with the apple pencil 2nd gen. I went for the 10th only because of the colour choices because honestly the pencil adapter is annoying lol.
Traded my fist gen pencil as I wasn’t impressed with the connector. I pad 2 pencil is better for me in my opinion it’s more professional. The way the I pad pros are racking up in price, I may have to drop to buying the I pad air, especially including needing all new accessories.
That reflective screen is hot garbage. I see where Apple was going with, this screams Surface Go or Surface competitor but agreed with you 100%, 64GB is insulting given the price, at least 128 should be the minimum given how big iPadOS updates are/will get..
I’m really glad you’re able to give an honest review through thorough testing, taking everything into account and not only picking out the positives in Apple’s marketing. Thank you for your in-depth, high quality content!
That's definitely getting pricey for me. I got the 9th gen iPad last year and typically hold on to them as long as their OS is supported, so I have a few years to hope that their prices get more reasonable again. I think I like the compatibility with Apple Pencil 1st gen since I wouldn't have to get a new pencil. I charge mine with a cable using a lightning-to-lightning adapter, which I think came with my pencil .
Evening Aaron 😊 I’m glad my son just bought last years iPad, 128gb, a treat for his 50th birthday. I’ve had two iPad Pro’s and the Mini iPad last year, I’ve ended up selling them all, as I found I could do most things on my phone. I do wish now though, I’d kept my last iPad Pro, and bought the Magic Keyboard to go with it, as there are times I could do with it now, as I’ve become my disabled sons official appointee due to his health issues, so I get a ton of paperwork to deal with now, which is becoming harder to do on my phone. 🙄 This iPad with the keyboard looks good, but it’s not as good as the Pro. ❤️
I picked up the 256gb model yesterday. As someone who doesn’t need the keyboard or the pencil, I am very excited to get this in the mail tomorrow. I am upgrading from a 5th generation 32 GB model.
I preordered the same 64 GB blue iPad and got it in this morning. I’m coming from the 7th generation and am giving that to my partner, so he can have something Apple. I use a 3rd party pencil and hopefully it works for the little bit that I use it, as good as on my 7th gen iPad.
Im curious.. Is the A14 chip on the ipad 10th gen, exactly the same on the ipad air 4th gen? If so does the ipadOS longevity supprt will be the same on both devices? Torn bet buying this or the air 4 one
They price it like this so that most people will go for the more expensive ones where they probably have even higher margins. Apple is really the best at taking the most possible cash out of your pocket.
First I want to say thank you for all of your hard work providing us with these videos. I have a question for you. Today’s date is May 21, 2024. APPLE has that iPad on sale for $349with my wife’s teachers discount I can get it for $329 and the magic keyboard for $229. Do you think that is a good purchase?
This ipad model is perfect for those who are in tight budget…. in what way? There’s a lot of accessories made for this model, especially a dupe Apple Pencil 2… in Amazon and Aliexpress… cost from USD 10-30.
I really wanted to like this but it died by death from a thousand cuts. I ended up buying an M1 Air, I love it, but I really wanted to like the iPad 10.
Hello Aaron, if you can find the box from 1st Gen Apple Pencil, you have the old Lightning to Lightning adapter... then try the lightning to USB-C cable from the iPhone. When I sold my 10.5 inch iPad Pro, back in 2018, with 1st Gen Apple Pencil, the adapter was in the Apple Pencil box, plus the extra tip, I made sure the new owner would have what was supplied.
I believe the 10th gen iPad is one of the most disappointing products Apple has released in a long time. It's way too expensive to be Apple's "Base" model iPad. Yet its functionality is much too weak to be a replacement for the iPad Air. It sits in no man's land between the 9th gen iPad and the iPad Air. Worse still, it gave Apple an excuse for not upgrading its TRUE base model, and a valuable product for schools and folks on a tight budget, the iPad 9th gen. 🤦♂️
Phillip James 1 second ago Thanks again Apple for removing the headphone jack. Perhaps using the USB-C Logitech Crayon instead of the first generation Apple Pencil is the writing / drawing solution for the iPad 10.
Pretty embarrassing miss on this iPad. Seemed like they had a perfect opportunity to make all the iPads the same size and use the same accessories, but Apple said "Hold my beer". Why is there a camera bump when there's plenty of space for them to flush mount it? Apple is really confused right now. I kinda think they are asking too much money on purpose so they can act like they're doing something good by discounting it for the holidays. I think they really just wanted to charge $400 for the thing, which is still too much for this thing.
Hey there! I have a question. I'm a student and I would like to buy me my first Ipad with keyboard and a pencil. There's just one thing and that is the price... I really do want the whole experience but I don't want to spend a lot of money. So my question is which ipad should I buy the best now? Should I go for 64gb or 256gb?
Since I'm only a teenager, my hands are still too small for a 10.9 inch iPad!! My 10.2 inch iPad 9 just fits my hands! Hopefully next year I'll have bigger hands to upgrade and the iPad 11 will hopefully be way better next year lol!
I really wish the new keyboard was compatible with the iPad Air and iPad pro, because I like it way more that the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air and Pro, and I wouldn't get this iPad because of the lack of Apple Pencil 2nd gen. But for someone that doesn't use the apple pencil I think it's a good iPad and I prefer the new keyboard
