I've been riding on iron dragon most of my life so this is definitely an rest your stomach for a moment style of coster before you get on something more intense like magnum or steel vengeance
My Dad's favorite rollercoaster. He always said it reminded him of flying in a helicopter, especially the part after the second lift hill. A classic that cedar point hopefully never removes.
Hope Cedar Point will never remove The Iron Dragon. It's a perfect family Rollercoaster, and I still ride it on many visits. I still don't know the reason for that funky looking steel bar on the lead cars of the Trains. They were added several years later and it's ugly.
@@JavaCake S&S World Wide is the official Parts Store for Arrow Dynamics Rollercoasters. It's going to be at Cedar Point for many years to come. You have to remember also, the Cedar Creek Mine Ride is The Oldest Operating Arrow Rollercoaster. No one ever talks about it's at the end of service life, premiering in 1969.
What a great ride. I drive from Baltimore to Canton to Sandusky in order to find the brother of the BIG Bad Wolf. And hearing those lift hills, and breaks, it was like 'hello old friend." Although Loch Ness Monster was my first big coaster, or not a children's coaster, I loved BBW, While I like BBW more, it's gone, so now Iron Dragon has become one of my favorites. I hope this park realizes how special and great this hand crafted. Pre cpu computers are. They are so wonderful. Thanks CP. Please take care of the former Paramount park Kings Dominion. I was sad to see the Re naming of the Rebel Yell, but still love Anaconda, Grizzley Bear, Fight of Fear, Avalanche, and hope to get see that new dale ernheart ride. Thanks again. Ps please consider repairing the vonroll sky rides at Kinds Dominion. They moved em to storage in the 90s. They are missed
as someone deathly afraid of roller coasters, this is the only roller coaster ive been on, like ever, this horrified me and i never wanna go on one again
They should buy the floor less suspended trains like that park in japan did. It isnt rough at all and should last for years. By giving it trains like standard inverts it would greatly improve the ride experience. Or they could have a company make trains you lay face down and turn it into a flying coaster. Having a flying coaster that swings would be tons of fun. As a flying coaster I believe it would be the most popular family coaster in the park. If they really wanted to push the experience even further they could replace the 2 lifts with launch tracks, nothing too fast just to make the person feel like they are flying. Could probably use tire drives for it.
This was my favorite when i was 12, about a year before i became coaster crazy. It's still super fun for anyone though. You really need to see the car as is goes through the track to get the full effect. This pov makes it look tamer than it is.
@@masoncarlile125he’s talking about it was a better ride when you had the option of letting your feet hang in the air now it’s not possible because the seating is different
