I love the sound of the F-Type. I truly, truly, truly, truly love it. It goes under my skin. It goes beneath the nerves and into the soul. It sounds way too good.

BMW has better programmed gear shifting. anyway I prefer Jag, BMW has no design, has no taste that Jags have (handling, looking,, sounding). Also this competition is not objective.
Seriously, you needed to get someone else who knows how to launch cars, instead of this M4 driver. Those launches by the M4 were embarrassing....or maybe he was too busy checking the social media comments on his phone!
Hey I just want to give some feedback. I love the matchups you guys bring. However, there are a bunch of races, across all your videos, that I feel would be outtakes or bloopers. Now idk if you only have 3 or 4 runs and then your shoot ends, but I feel like cleaner runs would be much better than 4-5 camera angles of a bad run.. like your first one for example. I know you guys will continue to improve. Just wanted to leave that feedback. Cheers!
I agree. I own a '17 F-type R. Its a beast, supercharged. No lag. The new model you see here is actually using the SVR engine, 575hp. No way a 500hp bmw with a turbo lag can kick so fast from 30mph. Either the Jag driver was flooring the gas at start, meaning screwing the supercharger or the BMW, as you said, is NOT 503hp...
@@chapacubraelderscrollsonli3491 no the BMW makes a lot More hp than advertised. The Mercedes C63 S coupe for example got the Same hp numbers but gets totally destroyed by the new M4 competition in a straight line.

Actually no it won't. If you look at both average times F Type R will be faster from dig. Hell i have a '17 R with 550 hp and i've seen it run 11.6 at 121-122. This M4 comp is RWD so its estimated 11.5-11.8 in 1/4 mile
M4 should’ve done better, it’s not 503 hp I think most ppl know that by now, closer to 550. Xdrive would’ve made easy work. I just wish Audi would start understating their numbers, a “591” hp rs7 with about 680 hp to compete with the M5 Comp would be a nice start.

How can you take those results the M4 driver was always half asleep at launch. He launched when the Jag was like already half way down the strip, I believe M4 wins from the start at the dig aswell
Whomever was on the M4 didn’t care to win. That driver was lost in the sauce. I’ve seen videos of the M4 smoking the Corvette C8 time after time. That Jaguar has no chance against the M4 in the 1/4 from launch.
This was the dumbest race i've ever seen. The m4 driver was sleeping at the light every race. what a joke. put a non sleeping person in the m4 and it would smoke the jag from both dig and roll.
If this is the F-TYPE R Dynamic, should be 444HP (NOT 575). Which explains why it got destroyed from a roll. The 575HP R does similar 1/4 mile and 0-150 as M3.
BMW is a faster car, though less hp in paper, and RWD. Plus the respond of bmw driver was slow! Bring the AWD version, and the pretty Jaguar will be smoked big time! Jag looks sexy, is kinda rare also, it’s also a fast sports car, BUT the bmw is faster.
Notice how when that wing went up it slowed the jag down a bit ….it’s only needed on a track in turns at speed for traction but there’s no denying the BMW had it .
No I didn't notice it, and you'd need some proper data to conclude that. But it is something that has always intrigued me too, and I would like to test. As you say, the wing will work on a racetrack at high enough speeds. I just wish that I had thought to collect some real data in the numerous 1/2 mile drag races I've done. I really should have run back to back with the spoiler automatically deployed and with it kept flat. I feel that it should be reflected in the trap speeds. Next time.
Sam was jumping on the digs or the m4 was asleep lol, either way bmw is the faster car. Would’ve been way closer on the digs if they took off at the same time
So the f types arent very fast lol cause the m4 was rear wheel drive and the all wheel drives are faster espcially from the dig the launch control can just put more power down but this rear wheel drive m4 was still running that f type down with like 100 less horsepower and a not much lighter weight. That second race the m4 let the f type get the hit by like a full second or 2 that changes everything with these really fast machines.

Ive owned the F Type R and now have an X drive M3--- The Jag should get out of the hole better but then the S58 plays an intense catchup game. Plus the M4 tires were not warm at 9/10/16/15 Celsius... thats wheelspin city for the RWD iteration of the G8X (which I had too) - the roll was a no brainer
no chance the f type beats the the x drive m3 or m4 off the line let alone the 1/4 mile lol. it does do it in 3.6 on a good day where the x drive m series will clock 3.1 all day. and the jag will do the 1/4 mile in 11.7 where stock the x drive is hitting 11.1 to 11 flat atm
@@SamCarLegion no because the car is shifting and the car would surely know what it's doing. Instead of accepting the viewers criticsm (which there is a lot) keep saying that we're wrong. Just take notes from carwow, they show how the car is in manual mode and the viewer knows. But that certainly didn't sound like anything close to red line. Especially in a roll the car needs to be in manual mode, or are you launching from comfort mode? Didn't sound so
That M4 looks like a camry or infiniti sedan from behind. Looks wise the Ftype shits on it. It’s not even close. The Ftype has such a unique design/look…the reviewer is blind AF thinking the m4 looks better, lol. BMW fan boy bias for sure.
I love the F-Type (and Jaguar R/SVR vehicles in general) but it seems to be beaten by everything nowadays. That's probably why they're using BMW M powertrains soon (just like the new Range Rover models).
Rwd vs. Awd yes we get it bro regardless the bmw looked like he was at a red light waiting for it to turn green n seen a competitor pull up once he seen it take off he decides to go after it. Sam if you was the driver im sure the outcome would been differently seeing that in all your videos u do the brake boost 👌
Guess that’s what manual paddles are for. Also the roll race was sleeping for the jag.Maybe some pro drivers on these races or people who can get the most out of the cars.
Why do you bother publishing the video when it’s the driver error that causes the result. Dude in the m4 has the reactions of my granddad. He died in 2013.
Owned an F type r awd, beautiful car, amazing sound and fast. But it is heavy and chunky. Straight line, yes awesome, but not nimble. Currently have a 24 M4 comp awd. It is nimble and quick. It will outpace the jag all the time. The Jag though, it has the looks. But with a Jag, it is going to cost you some heavy repair bills. Not good build or engineering quality at all
@@G82Watts dont be silly now "not even close" 60mph is the same, not very good for bmw considering its AWD !! And its the base corvette and its bmw's top end car ! Albeit ones a saloon and other a 2 seat coupe, c8 is quicker round track also
Guys are you able to start in the same time? 3 drags and each of them proves nothing regard performamce of Jag and BMW... You are doing it in almost all your clips. We dont want to know who of you has best RT. We want to see which car is faster. You should repeat drag if different between RT is sooooo obvious. Something like Carwow is doing.
