I work for Stellantist here in Michigan and we are in launch mode this was a great review of the wagoner, on my way to work to build some more lol great video .
Kudos for doing a review with a big guy. It's hard for us Big & Tall fellas to really judge seating position and comfort with tiny dudes behind the wheel. Great Job!
I've been watching many reviews of this event in New York on the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, and this one actually gave me a lot more useful information than any of the others. As always great job Aaron!
Single handedly the biggest influence on my buying decision. Smart, concise and... Calm. Love the prep that led to chrisp delivery. Btw, bought it and love it.
Best line: “it’s a very aerodynamic vehicle, despite the fact that it’s basically shaped like a single-family home” 🤣 Another great review!!! Thank you sir!
You have to give Stellantis credit for hitting a home run from the start. Not to mention how heavily stacked this market is with quality competitors. It'll be interesting to see how this vehicle does when the dust settles after it first year on the market. Great video and great truck!👍
We just got a new Wagoneer series 3. We have owned Ford Expeditions for 24 years and this is by far the nicest SUV I've ever had. I can't name a single thing that I don't like.
Ill wait for an hybrid configuration to help with mpg. I hope Jeep listens soon before I make purchasing decision for a family vehicle. Other then that it’s a complete family suv. Absolutely love if what they had done with 3rd row. It took years for Manufacturers to give customers the money they charge for these suvs
The etorque system is not really a "hybrid" it's just a generator sandwiched between the traditional engine and transmission. It mostly runs the accessories which are all HV electric, belt-less, and give you maybe an additional 5-6 mpg. Of those, the HVAC compressor is the most prone to failure. They run anywhere from 600-1000 for the unit, require special oil, and now use the expensive 1234YF refrigerant which requires different equipment to service. The cost to service that system alone (when not if) it fails, will offset any fuel savings you would have gotten from the etorque drive. This is a 100k SUV, fuel economy should not be your main concern.
2 things working against this and why we didn’t buy one: 1) it’s a Jeep 2) too small on the interior compared to the Expedition Max or Yukon XL. Ford has a weak front seat driver interior but it blows away the competitors on the back 2 rows and how they work with car seats. Most people looking at these cars have no idea who is buying them and why. I agree with those who said there are elements here on the interior that are superior to others though. Our growing family went with the Ford.
The transmission dial is HUGE! How is that saving space!? Maybe. Switches would be better? Like a ‘Burban or Navigator? Maybe a nice transmission knob like a RamTRX? What does the Escalade use? Is it a GIANT knob?
The Escalade probably uses push pull buttons like all the new gms have but you have to remember that theres patents on alot of those components the dial that jeep uses is a way for them to get away from the traditional gear shifters while not impeding on current patents
8:30. Engine should be quiet. It should not be roaring at all like you said at 9:25. The luxury aspect of this vehicle fails with that loud intrusive engine.
What a joke .. just get a Lexus lx 600 and stop buying from this brands . With all that tech , it’s going to be a nightmare in no time . Be smart , buy a Lexus lx 600 or a Toyota Sequoia 2022 v8 .
