I've had the 2022 Rubicon for a year now. It's the best thing I've ever owned. I love it. Great review. Also there might be issues with that review test model. 0-100 should be about 7.9 seconds. Mine has some heavy aftermarket barwork + winch and gets about 8 seconds. Cheers!
Wrangler is a very good car , I had 1 before and the car performed fine off Rd, never let me down . I've done all types of terrain, we have awesome family moments .
@@planetdisco4821 Well, yeh drive away, but more like $90k drive away. Actually $69k plus onroads: ~7k in GST. 3.5k in luxury car tax (it's a luxury vehicle after all). $4.5k in stamp duty $900 in registration. Random amount of Dealer delivery (BS). + Options.
@@planetdisco4821 Worth the money? Hard to say. Saying that I'm waiting for mine. It is stupid expensive but there's nothing really equivalent either in unique looks, off road ability (from the factory) or sheer amount of mods available. So..I guess I'll see if I think it's worth in after a few months. Good thing though is that they (especially Rubicon's) hold their value pretty damn well. So go figure.
@@Thargelios yeah anything ute-like with a tray or a tub on the back of it tends to hold its value pretty well in Oz. Wish we still made our own. But gotta admit the rubicon does look like it’s made for here and there’s heaps of after market mods you can do them too. Good luck in your new vee-hikkel! Might get myself one sometime in the next 12 months…
Just Empty Every Pocket I just became the proud owner of an identical (used) '22 Rubi, except my steering wheel is on the correct side . They are indeed loud on the highway and the fuel economy is poor, as one would expect for a vehicle that is considerably less aerodynamic than a cow. They are not particularly practical as simple transportation-or cost effective for that matter, but owning one is bloody special, mate. Especially in a bright, brash, loud colour like Firecracker Red, Hydro Blue, or Mojito Yellow. Off pavement it's unstoppable, especially if you put it up on 37s (or bigger), and highly modify the suspension in ways that would make an Aussie policeman's head explode.
Definitely not off roading around here. A lot of people have to go through that just to get home. If you aren’t rolling over 8” rocks or mud over half the tire that’s not “off roading” Imo
