As I keep saying, the LOW RIDER ST is the best Harley out this year for 2022. It’s new. It’s got a fresh fairing that’s only for the FXLRST, it’s the lightest “bagger” Harley has, it’s got floating rotors, inverted forks, softail mono shock, mid controls, 5 gallon gas tank, 117, cruise control, good size, good looking bags, and it’s the best deal of a bagger you can get from HD. How could anyone not want one. Can’t wait for mine to get here!!
They should have done a 2 to 1 exhaust and have the saddle bags the same size. Would definitely sell more bikes that way and odd size bags doesn't make any sense
@@slayer04031974 The lead designer said the reason for this is so that the left bag can hold more and the right bag obviously needs to clear the exhaust, and they put it a few inches up so you can throw on a beefier exhaust system and still have the bags on. I actually met him and spoke with him in person at Daytona bike week. He was there showing off the bike, only 2 places the public have seen it so far is a demo bike in Milwaukee and a few at Daytona bike week. I suppose he could have shortened the left bag to make it symmetrical. Personally I think it looks cool af either way, and I definitely don’t mind the extra bag space. I just secured my Low Rider ST yesterday, so hyped, just have to wait till they are allowed to place orders on April 13th, then I receive it 6-8 weeks after that date.
@@allthesmoke6968 I just saw 2 at Old Scholl HD in Ellington, CT. 1 of them a guy from NJ was hauling back home. I love everything about the bike. But the new slogan for Harley is further and faster. The ST comes with a full stage 1. A 2 to 1 set up would have been the easiest solution and clean up the bike. And they could have used a oem stock muffler. So the buyer could just replace the stock for a slip on and no obvious bag height in the rear. I'm not designer or builder and I haven't been a long time Harley owner. But keeping it simple and attraction attention with detail to quality in the end. Is what works. I would also love to see HD actually start more customization from the website as an option with pre-orders. For 30k. The odd bag look is big little mistake. Something so small that is painfully overlooked and clear at 10 feet away.
@@slayer04031974 Hell yeah I didn’t even know they showcased them anywhere else yet, I agree with you, I already have plans to replace exhaust with 2 to 1. I understand why people aren’t a fan of the different saddle bag height. Personally I don’t care, but that’s only my personal opinion. I agree it would be much more appealing to most customers with the same sized bags each side.
I’m shitting bricks right now. I just left Bruce Rossmeyer Harley Davidson at destination daytona in Daytona beach, and secured my Low Rider ST!!! I was told they can’t even place my order until April 13th. After April 13th I have to wait 6-8 weeks for it to get delivered. I only had to put $1000 down, which goes towards my down payment. It is officially in your name when you reserve it and get approved if financing. Im literally gonna be the one of the only ones if not the only one with one of these on the road in central Florida 😍😍😍 even the GM at Harley said none of them have seen one in person yet. I am so excited I can’t even sleep. I am 24 years old and I can tell you I have never been this excited in my life. Ever. So excited lol MSRP was $22,300 for gunship grey color. Vivid black is $400 cheaper. But it came out to around $24,600 after freight charges, dealer fees, taxes, etc. Good luck fellas 🤙
Congrats on the new bike and the amazing deal vato. Wish I could've bought a bike like the LRST at 24 years old. You should order your aftermarket parts now
@@InfamousCreep Thanks! Yeah I ordered the Rockford fosgate speaker system because it is on back order 19 weeks so I’ll get it like 2 months after my bike. I’m about to order a 2 into 1 exhaust too. I’m so excited these next 2 months are gonna be a brutal wait but so worth it haha
Many people are missing the point that this has a cam upgrade to a stage 2 torque cam profile same as the CVO. 2-1 pipe and a decent tune it will fly….higher lift cam might give more but its pretty good as it is…
It actually doesn't, the cam is normal for a 117. If I remember right the 114 has a 350? and the 117 has a 415? which is comparable to the 114 cam. The torque cam in a 114 is a 447. This has been discussed in the Facebook group, just remember the actual numbers.
@@InfamousCreep ok I could check I guess but the HD torque cam was unavailable for the cvo 117, it may not have been the same but pretty damn close profile, that same cam is in the 117s across the board. It’s certainly not the same “stock” cam as in the 114s either way 👍
@@InfamousCreep no the torque cam and the cam in this 117 are the same part number, look it up! So yes technically it has Harleys version of stage 2 already
It’s nice but I don’t understand the supply delay when all the other models are rolling in. Could it be to create an intentional shortage so they could upcharge?
That's possible, good way to drive the price up, but dealers get that mark up profit. I also spoke to the event coordinator and mentioned supply problems and potential changes for 2023. A lot of the components on the LRST are new, even the LRS117 speedometer mount is different. Typically the higher end model gets priority in production, the LRST isn't due to release until late March. Some dealers already have them in stock
Being how popular this bike is before it’s even out I already know an icon collection of this bike will be almost impossible to get without massive markups
I'm sure we'll see these bikes pop up on the used market before the end of 2022. I would wait too, let these folks buy it with all the fees and when they grow tired of it, we'll snag them up. Thanks
Articles are starting to come out that Harley patented the name "El Diablo". So far the speculation is that it is going to be an Icon Collection bike of the Low Rider ST but with more throwback FXRT vibes.
@@antoniocampos6627 yes sir, Crimson Red and Nebula Red. I'm hoping Nebula Red is cool cus Crimson Red in my eyes isn't Red at all its way closer to Billiard Burgandy.
Local salesman flat out says they likely won't even get 1 this year... he says I should just build one. Parts manager is a nice guy, he said they have all the part numbers... maybe by summer the parts will start becoming avail. sales manager was a lot more hopeful.... he said oh you never know, maybe mid year or later we'll get one. haha wow. the 3k price difference would be easy to do... over the LRS. building the bags and faring from parts would likely cost double... shit... decisions decisions... my dealer is known to charge over msrp. still might be cheaper to build one vs get lucky and they call me saying they got one haha
You could build one like mine, $800 for bags and $600 for fairing. I'm sure the LRST provides more wind protection since it's frame mounted, and the Sport Glide bags look better than most aftermarket bags. The fairing alone will set you back $3k and the bags another $3.5k, so you're better off buying the LRST. If I was in the market for a new bike, the LRST would be my first choice.
Never noticed the smaller bag till now you mention it. Possibly if ya run a 2-1 short pipe like a Trask maybe. Then buy the sport glide right hand side bag to match the size. That would work… I think 🤔 unless the mounting is different. Kool as bike though ay. Dig it. Cheers for your video mate ⚫️🤘
@@alexandreverdon1921 DOOOH !! Ya learn something new everyday. Never knew that….. now I gotta check as Australian market still get the Sportglide model for 2022….. 🤘
This is a great bike for any rider. Like I have said before once you go Roadglide u neva Eva go back. Mr chalco. Do ur best, be ur best, master ur craft.

I just saw it, and I don't believe the design team on some the decisions. I believe they don't have a lot of the components and are using what they have left over.
@@InfamousCreep That is just what they did on the ST Street and Road Glide, added different shocks, motor and air filter from their parts bin and call them new models.
I wouldn't pay anything above $24k, you could always try again in a few months. That's what I did with my LRS, couldn't workout a deal at launch. I think you'll love the LRST.
Weekend cruiser with that fairing? Sorry but you need to imagine that bike without the bags and only that humongous fairing. The fact that the fairing does not come off is for me a fail on this style bike. I like the fact that I can pop off my Leather Pro bags and Memphis Shades windshield in a flash from my 20 Street Bob. That leaves you with a real knock around lightweight bike.
I know it may look a little front heavy without the saddlebags, but I've gotten used to the look after seeing a lot of Dynas with FXRT fairings. You and I are on the same boat with LP bags and detachable fairings, I love my build too.
The bags can be removed in seconds lol. And tbh if you don’t want a fairing then get the Low Rider S lol, but I agree if it had a detachable fairing that would make it better.
I have not rode one yet or seen one in person and still believe it is worth the 22k but not 30+ like dealers are asking. I also haven't seen or rode the RG/SG st and believe they are NOT worth 30k so for me Harley had a Hit and a Miss
Gotta admit, not a fan of any quick detach. It'd he a shame if someone stole them. Plus, if I wanted to remove the bags I'd just buy the normal lowrider.
None of the specs stuff impress me cause it needs pipes external breather tuning rear cylinder cooling fan so it won’t blow up. Need to say more?? BUT it’s the best deal for the money and adding a stage two you’re already better than the ST model. The saddlebags are useless so sissy bar and a back pack and you’re set!! Just my .02 (Owner of a 2020 RKS for the haters)
@@InfamousCreep I’ve been on the dyna platform for about 10 years. I’m under 30. Even I knew this was coming eventually so I didn’t buy into the softails at first. I’m glad i didn’t either. Dyna gang till I die. This might be my new bike tho.
@@Bluis5445 I really wanted a FXDLS, but like I mentioned before, a used Dyna LRS was going for near $19k+. The FXLRST would be perfect for anyone coming from a Dyna.
@@InfamousCreep well yea they are expensive for a reason. It’s like the original bike. Softails are made for the new biker. To work and Starbucks lol. No vibration no shake all nice and soft. No personality. The ST is the only one that catches my attention.
I see this as Harley's new entry in the king of the bagger's competition. Upgrade it to the 131 and nothing will be able to touch it. Is it worth $35000, oh hell no and only an idiot would pay that kind of money for a $22000 motorcycle.
Lol 😆. It's a nice a bike for sure, but for $30k I would've liked seeing ohlins standard and a stage 2 included. But harley needs to upsell somehow right 😄
A 131 is like $7,000 lol. It’s not gonna be $22,000 with a 131 and nobody would expect it to be. If they threw a 131 on it (I wish), msrp would be at least like $30,000.
From his replies, looks like he bought the bike at $27k and got $10k in financial services. Should've paid cash for the additional stuff in my opinion, and some folks are just too young. Maybe we can get the administration to bail out more people from their financial burdens 😂
